Label: Ultimae Records

An utterly amazing piece by CBL. Simply breathtaking.
Not sure why, but this is the only "World Of Sleepers" track not offered unmixed anywhere. So I faded a bit of the next track so that it wouldn't end abruptly before "L".
Edit: The remastered unmixed track is now available carbonbasedlif...
The original mastering is however unavailable for purchase.
The Drake equation states that:
N = R* f(p) n(e) f(l) f(i) f(c) L
where:
N = the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible
and
R* = the average rate of star formation per year in our galaxy
fp = the fraction of those stars that have planets
ne = the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
fℓ = the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some point
fi = the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life
fc = the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space
L = the length of time for which such civilizations release detectable signals into space

The woman chanting that equation out and then ending it with "WAKE UP" sends chills down my spine. It's almost like an alien trying to communicate with the listener. This song is amazing. 👩🏾💗
the equation is stupid, the work of art we admire here is good
Which is fitting considering what Drake equation is used for.
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 what makes you think it isn't lol ❤❤❤❤❤ faith patience
Wake up ❤
I don't know what it is about the "wake up" that gives me goosebumps. It's hauntingly enthralling.
its the deepest quest of humanity
I feel that too
14 years on and there's still nothing like it. Not even close. And I've listened to just about every psybient track out there. This just blows every other song away.
That makes me sad. I was looking for tracks like this one. :c
@@kisbiflos I wish I could find more too. The closest thing is H.U.V.A. Network, some Solar Fields and a few other songs on the Ultimae label. Maybe if anyone else sees these comments they can help us out. I'd really love more songs like this in my life.
I don't agree. Good track but mastering is bad (imo.. sounds very flat). And not to mention the 'female vocal' is annoying -for effect-, this track and the full album is miserably feminine & kitschy!!) Btw, there are some similar good or better (without female vocals) .. ex: Koan - Odysseus Under The Old Tree, Altitudes - Altitude II, Pleiadians - Seven Sisters, etc etc
@@Mantra604 Thanks for the recommendations. I have the first two of those and I agree they're great tracks. To me, they also sound like a lot of other songs in that genre though. E-Mantra, Suduaya, Astropilot, CJ Catalyzer, Akshan, and probably about a hundred more artists all make very similar music. What makes a lot of CBL different is they incorporate new age sounds. That's definitely not for everyone and can be kitsch like you said. I grew up listening to some of that new agey stuff though so to me it's not a problem. This song has a scale and richness to it that I haven't come across in any other song. Yet...
@@Mantra604 female vocals are what make most tracks even better
This album was released in 2006. However, this kind of music is so far ahead of it's time that it doesn't feel like it was released 13 years ago.
Completely agree
couse they are who they ARE :) no copy
looks like 2022 or futuristic to me
@@prashanthadepu3013 It's timeless, bro.
How do you determine what's new and what's old in ambient?
One of the best tracks I've heard in my entire life.
Psychology professor played this in a slideshow 8 years ago. Been hooked on cbl since :)
The way she presents that equation gives me a strangely pleasant feeling.
This is one of the best things in the universe.
When the Big Bang flashed throughout the Universe and when the young planet Earth was giving birth to Carbon Based Lifeforms... it already had a soundtrack. Absolute praise to the magnificence of existence.
Adrian Zieniewicz all praise to the most high
amazon frogs will light our way.
If there was a Big Bang 😉
Amen
A-U-M is the first soundtrack.
N=R x Fp x Ne x Fl x Fi x Fc x L (Drake ecuation)
Its true! O.o
your Comment deserves more likes ! congrats ! and thank you for the information !
DI: Defending Illusions u
I love the commentary subject matter in this genre.
Now, wake up!
One of the most incredible tracks of CBL
Yes!

amazing man really amazing thank you so much for this
Yes. I do, however, also suggest This Morn' Omina when it comes to musical interpretations of that equation :)
@@daytonaaaargh stellardrone eternity could be a gem like this
Thanks for putting that info up! I was wondering what it meant.
being an old caustic being, this seems to me a bit too imaginary
N = the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible
and
R* = the average rate of star formation per year in our galaxy: an imaginary number, not all forming stars are seen by our telescopes
fp = the fraction of those stars that have planets: any star seems to have planets at this point, this metric means nothing
ne = the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets: a lot of planets discovered indirectly up to this point seem to have potential to support life
fℓ = the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some point: modern science is still unable to pinpoint the exact way life begins, this metric means nothing
fi = the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life: assigning a number to this parameter is impossible
fc = the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space: this parameter is meaningless given that our civilization is the only civilization we know
L = the length of time for which such civilizations release detectable signals into space" - impossible to determine, god power needed
Listening to this makes me feel like I'm home.
+Jeannine Hudson true
Everyone listens to all kinds of songs and tunes and one day comes when you listen to the one which you finally call it the song of your life
CBL is the stuff, it's a dreamy deep clear state of mind
Rübert It is The Sounds of The Seeing
It kind of sounds like she says the Drake equation as if it's a spell that brings life into existence.
"n = r * fp * ne * fl * fi * fc * l, wake up!"
I'm still psyched listening to this masterpiece! It might be an old track but with every passing day, it is refining just like the wine.
The song begins and you are floating slowly through space.
When the beat is about to drop, you approach Jupiter for a close orbit and use its gravity as a slingshot.
And then you wake up and hear the details of your deep space mission based on Drake's equation.
Hands down my favorite CBL song. The undulating meter, fantastic sampling, and surprisingly good vocals make this a must-listen for anyone trawling these playlists.
Absolutely agree
Me too 100%@@wisteriabreeze197
Too good to be true... I surrender to this one till death! Priceless.
I was crying from the overflowing emotions

The second part of this song is the energy of our world and chaos that we will witness soon
This one and Supersede my favorite tracks from CBL
Absolute masterpiece
This and my tears are the proof: I don't need drugs or a space ship to be in another world... this is far beyond awesome, way too much ♥ Gigantic amount of goosebumps and endorphins! I can't say more. Not for lack of words, but because *this majesty overwhels me.*
its worth one journey for sure , but ur right this group especially, life savers
Breathtaking Sound ❤️
Si existe una canción tan badass para prepararse académicamente en el ámbito científico; es esta definitivamente.
When I peaked on LSD, listening to this. I will never forget it. Never. Profound experience..
Really great content to help in meditation under LSD
Stunningly good. Great work!
This song is God whispering simultaneously to all the warm little ponds on a quintillion planets, desperate to not be alone any longer.
There is no god.
Best song ever created.
I open my eyes to a new world and wander the depths of my unconscious mind.
I love CBL, one of my favs!
The name of the song is Abiogenesis genesis is a form of waking up I guess who ever said this music was way ahead of it's time was extremely understating the situation hell 13 years after it came out AND IT IS STILL FAR ADVANCED FROM THE REST OF WHATS OUT THERE
My son asked me to name the one track representative of electronic music.
I gave him this, and Tears in Rain by the master himself, trusting he will find Exit and Love on a real Train by himself.
The words pronounced by a girl here are actually the Drake Equation. It is a formula used to estimate the odds of finding intelligent life in the universe. One day we'll surely find it, guys.
It's more likely to find us or simply make itself known. But, I wonder, is humanity ready for that? If it's more a matter of such life making itself known, the answer would seem to be 'No'. Which sucks but humanity has a lot of growing up to do.
we are the aliens i think.
N = R * f(p) * n(e) * f(l) * f(i) * f(c) * L
Tak zwane równanie Drake’a to wzór próbujący określić, ile cywilizacji technologicznych istnieje w galaktyce.
CBL should write the music for Metroid Prime 4
Listening with eyes closed. No comments seen. No fucks given.
I love to fall asleep on this song.
Listening to this while playing Stellaris
System survey complete.
Amazing all videos carbon based lifeforms my espiritualyty dimension
Apparently the estimated number of sentient civilizations in the Galaxy, which the Drake equation predicts is between 20 and 50000000. This would imply that there are likely MILLIONS of other civilizations out there - wild!!
Only 17000 views??? THIS should be the most viewed vid on UA-cam....
Steve Key You've got to consider the views on other uploads too. This easily has over half a million :)

Excellent quality! Thank you.
"Nothing is like it seems."
i love it man
oh god.why did i forget this track
Amaze.
I listened to this the first several times trying to figure out what the vocals were spelling out with the letters! Lol!
Drake equation. Great stuff.
pure beauty
First I thought that the words pronounced on the song are for DNA particles. ATGC. But thank you guys for explaining.
N = R∗ × fp × ne × fl × fi × fc × L
WAKE UP!!!!
I love this!!!
The Best Track in the Universe 🥰😍🙏🏽👍🏽👏🏼👌🤩🍄✨☀️🌙🌕✨💫
Esta pieza musical tiene en mí un efecto muy superior al de elevadas dosis de cafeína.
Carbon Based Lifeforms always excellent ;)
Abiogenesis. Mas a "letra" da música é sobre a Equação de Drake!
This song should have been played as a first song in space.

♥️♥️
2024 one love

Where are all the aliens?

In the night i try look in the starry sky. I think, somewhere in one of this billion shining worlds is somebody, who looking on the sky like me. Him think it too.
Well, what about, maybe just maybe there's like an unimaginable amount of alien dogs or snakes or fish who'll look at their sky but won't wonder about what you're thinking. Makes me sad that in our life time we might not even get to know about them either. We tend to only think about ourselves because, yes we seem to be above them all in our "thinking"ability.. But we are nothing compared to all the vast types of life. Hell even all of the bacteria on Earth surpasses us in total biomass ... So yeah... Sad
Anybody remembers this from the epic WoW fan video? :)
Why does this track remind me so much of Dodecahedron - Derelicts.
We are alone in this universe
We've got to spread life... it's our duty as sentient star dust.
sounds like a Dark5 background music
good idea...he has some great music👍👍
