This is the track that opened my mind to appreciating ambient music. My journey with Carbon Based Life Forms began 5 years ago when a Norwegian friend sent me Supersede to listen to. I was instantly addicted to it..
Its an absolute masterpiece! I will never understand people listening to commercial top 40 music when you have something produced like this which is far superior. Lyrics can never be an equivalent to an amazing melody. Maybe its better this is not commercial... it means more if you find music like this
Just because in the end , the lyrics of the songs are just a fantasy that differs from one artist to another according to his own expression and feeling, and it happens that some of them without being songwriters or even singers, they find poetic and sensational words. But on the other hand the melody, the good composition or simply the music is a unique gift reserved for virtuosic souls, sometimes we even wonder if it is not Divine !!!
I am an old man, and I have been dreaming about space travel since before most of you were born. I agree with you, and it is a deeply emotional subject for me. Sometimes I go to the sites of NASA or the ESA and what I see there brings happy tears to my eyes. That may sound silly and I may be the only one doing it, but I can't help it because it feels so good to see my childhood dreams coming true. The inspiration of music is part of it- keep up the good work.

Looking into space and thinking about the dimension (hundreds and thousands of lightyeas distance) tells me, how small we are. Thinking of Star Trek and the idea behind, I feel we are lightyears away from that, what was Gen Roddenberry's vision of a Federation of Planets. That is sad and this kind of music helps me to have still the vision of the "First Contact" - but after another disasterous Worldwide war.

My wife and I cried when we saw the first shuttle landing in California. We cried again when the Challenger met her end. I still thrill to see the rovers on Mars, the landing of Huygens on Titan, and the other missions. As you also say - this music brings those feelings to my heart as well.

I've made a habit of opening these songs on music channels like SpaceAmbient and listening fora few seconds, then clicking forward in intervals of about 20-30 seconds looking for a groovy beat and/or hypnotic harmony, in order to expedite my finding of new amazing music like this without having to wait through the boring crap parts.

I can’t stop listening to this tune. Reminds me of a soundtrack from a futuristic movie in the 80’s. I can’t place the movie but it sounds so familiar. Like when they are running “B” roll when there’s a plan or a journey, something.
