This is the 2nd Toxicologist-related video I watched from you (the first video I watched from you already made me subscribe) I'm maining toxicologist and I really love how it suits my style but for the last few months I've been having a hard time aiming, and I watched this clip just last night... and my aiming skill dramatically improved. NO exaggeration. No regrets watching your guides, keep it up!
Wow Marcus if you ever read this comment just let your ego know that you're super smart. Seriously. You clearly have a deep understanding of what goes into aiming, physically and mentally. My Spellbrain grew two sizes this day
Hey I'm really digging your channel I've only played a little while and only progressed super slowly in dealing with the difference in control. But after only a couple days of your videos I've seen a rapid change compared to before. Thank you so much
One tip on sensitivity is to use the same "relative" sensitivity for every shooter game you play to develop muscle memory. After you find what you think is right for you, drag your mouse the distance needed for a 360 turn and measure it on your mousepad. For instance, for me, I use 12" on the mousepad for 360 degrees on all games I play. The distance that is comfortable for you is probably different but, being consistent across all games will help you. Nice video.
This was really useful advice. It isn't just applicable to Spellbreak; I can see using this for Remnant, CoD, PUBG, and other games. I just started playing Spellbreak yesterday and your videos have been a tremendous help!
Yeah, my biggest issue is trying to predict where someone is going and getting too close then losing sight. Thanks for the "Lazy" movement eyesight tip. I usually look what I think they're going. Still trying to find that sensitivity though, it's pretty tough on console.
Holy shit!!! After following his advice on aiming ( the window thing) 4 kills back to back I literally got my first win next match.... wow now I def gotta subscribe
One thing that really helped me with aiming is using a custom program for mouse acceleration. Most built in mouse acceleration curves like the ones for windows or built into games are garbage, but if you use a linear curve with a custom program the muscle memory is easy to build up and you can flick way easier while still staying accurate.
@@hatchibyebye well, back when o posted this which was during the beta, there weren't enough ps4 players to start a lobby. Except when i went through communities to find a party of at least 8 people
For sensitivity I would go with what is slow enough that you can aim in a straight line horizontally without major deviation. It should be fast enough that you can make at least a full 360 turn from one corner of your mouse pad to the next (that's what I do in FPS games and it's pretty similar here). It's all personal preference. For relative aim sens, unless you plan on aiming while scoped in, keep it low. Aim, scope, fire.
This video is dope! You talk a little bit here and a lot in some of your other videos about how important movement in spellbreak is. Could you maybe do a dedicated video on Movement in spellbreak? Tips, tricks, getting the most out of your runes, how to improve, that kinda thing. I've been thinking about my movement and comparing to streamers and it's night and day. I get stuck trying to hop through windows, miss jumps and landings, and I just don't feel like I move nearly as fast, even with similar gear.
As far as the execution of your explanations, you're a little rambly, maybe have a look at things that you're repeating in a video, I noticed it a fair bit. BUT, this content/advice at the end of the day is pure gold, and this video is everything I wanted. Literally only trying to constructively criticise to help if I can dude, this vid earned a sub first video I've seen from you.
Awesome dude, your videos are extremely helpful. I was wondering if you ever play with a controller and if so could you please post some tutorials or hints on that. I’m playing with my friend on Xbox is why I ask. Obviously a lot of this information can be translated over on my own I’m only asking if you have some extra input you could throw around for that. I do realize this video is from 8 months ago, I’m gonna dive into this content you got here. I hope you’re doing well man! Thanks again!!
Really love the game want to get better so thanks for giving me some good things to think about! Gonna check out and follow the stream next time its up!
Does all this apply to playing on the switch, minus the mouse control movement, i feel like i am having such a difficult time aiming and it is causing me to get exiled really quick in matches which is frustrating.
Aiming fundamentals are the same for all FPS and all systems. Centering, crosshair placement, movement, awareness, prediction, all these things help your aim. Being comfortable with your abilities will help you relax and trust your muscle memory. On the switch I imagine it's very hard to use something like the lightning gauntlet, maybe use the ones that require less aim, and run a higher sensitivity and use close range weapons.
Ok important question, on console games we have aim assist yes, but we also have a dead zone on the joystick meaning we can’t move our vertical and horizontal view as fast even with high sense because that is making it only high all though on pc you have completely all the control over how fast you move your view getting to my point how do you improve aiming on console?
@@MARCUSakaAPOSTLE yeah i mained tempest since alpha so i understand these patches can change a lot sometimes. But im looking forward to it. Cheers mate.
Just started playing and I hope I can learn from this video's guides. I'm a very bad shot with the mouse. What's a good "learner gauntlet" when you want to get better at aiming but aren't quite there to do frost or lightning? Right now I'm maining Stone because it feels easier to use, but I want to get better so that I can deal with being countered and then maybe see if I can get used to other classes.
Look at the gauntlet and item icons, they are different from what i see playing now. Im guessing they removed the backpack system at some point, considering this guide is almost 9 months old
When I aim with zoom and almost at the target, when I click on mouse I suddenly flick my mouse to the left sharply. And usually miss. How do I get rid of that habit?
Yo, i have a problem, i play on switch, and i just dont know how to aim, basically i can only flick, if i try having slower look speed, then i cant follow dash and other runes, even just floating
