Considering the technology humans had in the film I found it completely unbelievable that they could be this ridiculously stupid. All they would have needed to be invisible to the creatures would be some kind of hazmat suit that wouldn't let smells either in or out, much easier than trying to train children to feel no fear of a monster that could rip them apart.
They didn't even contain their main cargo, the alien, properly. Almost gave it a whole planet
And it's derivative. Dune did it first and did it better.
I didn't even watch the rest after a ship, which can travel trough wormholes, flew into a fckin asteroid field. Not talking about sensing vibrations from outside in space.
@@Princip666 Actually, it's not far off. Asteroid dust would've been speckling the hull before the main field, so feeling the vibrations from it is not unrealistic.
@@sledgedragon2677 It theoretically could, but if they are not flying sideways all the time, it would affect only the front parts. And the pilots in a SHIP THAT CAN TRAVEL TROUGH WORMHOLES have no idea the field is there, because why would they.
Imagine if with all that technology they just had a drone. man that would be crazy huh?
they have drones; that's how cypher is scanning the surroundings ahead of his son...
Exactly, they got recon drones but I guess combat drones were too advanced for the plot
@@NexusGameEnt that’s M night Shyamalan for you, he would rather have a crazy twist, than a plat that actually makes sense. Still a smaller plot hole than the one “the visit“
@@ApocGuy would be nice if its armed with weapon like current combat drones
The thumbnail for this video was better than the actual movie.
definitely. 😹
You ain't lying
It was
Yeah I didn't know this was the movie they were reviewing lol
I tell you 🤦
Imagine having the ability to create clone mutants and then decide to make them blind
They could couldn't smell Will Smith's fear until Jada showed up 😅😅
My friend you got me on the floor😊😅😮
Was searching for this comment 😂😂😂
😂😂
Ugh, these jokes are weak.
2:02 almost thought that hand was getting ready to slap. phew
💀💀
I feel like a quick fix to this plot would be to say that the creature is drawn to creatures in a state of fear, it has to detect a combination of factors before it identifies you as a target, not just smell, but changes in your temperature, heart beat, body language, etc, brought on by being in a state of fear. That way wearing an environmental suit would not be enough to protect you as the sound of your heart beat and your body language would still give away your fear drawing it to you. The only way to be safe would be to control your fear.
Ofc they would have to change the scene of him hiding under a bowl but thats only a small moment and instead they could have him hidden in a cellar under stone or something, and watching his sisters death on a cctv camera instead. But meh.
when u have tech that can travel through wormholes. robots with gun is the least hardest things u can make. and dont forget guns. lots of gun. An entire armada protecting your world from anything trying to get through
I think Cypher fought the aliens by slapping them 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
🙄🙄🙄🌽🌽🌽
@@achildnamedhotchick1739 indeed, these fools are so corny.
I love how the movie shows their flaw right away that you can just mask yourself from emitting scent
The URSA was actually played by Jada.
Please 😂😂😂
You explained this movie better than how I understood it the last time I watched it. I always thought Will’s acting on the character was a bit off, but now I know it was intentional because The character is way too Stoic for his own good and his family.
One thing I think you misunderstood was The Condor didn’t die saving him as Thanks for saving its Chicks cus it’s chicks obviously died, The condor died thinking He was one of its chicks. That was why it was chasing him in the sky in the first place, and didn’t feed him to it’s kids cus he thought it was one of them. That was why it was also following him after it’s best got destroyed. Because it thought he broke his wing and was about to die when the ground froze. So it landed on him and gave him warmth.
Obviously, you've never taken a College psychology course.
That indepth analysis was WAY off.
Understanding the motherhood of any animal takes an understanding of that animal and it's inate characteristics of survival and motherhood in behavior towards it's children; and what that animal does to feed and protect and teach it's children.😊
@@DianeHasHopeInChrist Are you autistic?

I would like to underscore that it's not stoicism as much as just callousness. The philosophy is something completely different.
great movie. but I think the aliens designed the monsters badly.
You can just wear a sealed suit and they wouldn't notice you anymore
😂 too true
Who the hell designs a blind predator anyway? Must have been the alien interns who developed that one as a gimmick creation 🤪
The aliens who designed the monster probably did it for content back home
You must be a weird gen z, this movie is horrible
Crappy design. I would do at least smell pattern, heat, sonar, lidar, motion, vibration, metal detection and physical to be sure. Real life Aliens and Terminators will not be limited to Hollywood directors fantasy.
@@luke9361 no they probably just didn’t watch it and are calling it great because they think the recap is good. most people on this channel don’t watch movies they just watch the recap and judge of the movies good or bad based on how entertaining the recap was.
We used to make fun of how “un-Will” this character is. Now we kind of wish Will had more of this guy in him.
get over it white guy, it was a publicity stunt anyway
Yep.....he could "grow a pair", gain some dignity and self respect; then Will could get rid of a wife that seduced her son's best friend. Which makes her a "Pedophile".
Jada is one of the most hated females in the world. Amber Heard and Meghan Markle are a close 2nd & 3rd.🤨😒🙄
These 3 females are NOT women or feminists, as they USE men to achieve fame, wealth, and luxury they do NOT deserve.🤨
These 3 sub-humans are a REAL affront and embarrassment to the real women of the world.😁
3:41 Sounds like you said "At that moment the shit started breaking apart" 😂😂😂
Imagine that with that technology they would have robots doing the killings as they don't have emotions, these humans in the movie sure are dumb.
If only Will Smith could’ve did that at the Academy Awards suppress his feelings😂😂😂😂
If only idiots on the internet could suppress their need to get anonymous clout by speaking on celebrities that could care less what you think....Mr. Smith is rich while you're typing and thinking about HIM on your obsolete phone🤣😂😂
Man, if only this hyper advanced human civilization had some air tight suit that could let them survive in a harsh environments and even the vacuum of space.
Oh well, guess it’s just better to tell everyone not to be fearless.
Human beings wiped out the ice age animals with arrows and spears. It is therefore difficult to imagined that they can't kill off these monsters.
probably the shear amount of them humanity quickly became the apex be our amount and innovation now imagine a creature breed for war that can quickly multiplicate themselves and survive almost any environment and you get something that can extinct humanity
This movie has a great core with strong emotional payoffs but like everyone else is saying: bruh wth why don’t doctors develop an anti fear drug or scientists develop a suit that prevents the pheromones the aliens use to see from leaving the suit? It never bothered me until I read the comments and I don’t think it’s a massive flaw in the movie bases it’s setting off bad design and poor response
Because the people of the movie are descendants of the writers which is why their common sense is non existent.
Dude who makes your thumbnails all of them are 🔥
All jokes aside, I really liked this movie when it came out. The monologue about fear was quite moving.
Its Scientology propaganda...
@@kapuzinergruftshut up
His aggression was more believable when he attacked Chris Rock.
Bro that thumbnail is awesome
If the ursa can't find or see you if you don't emit pheromones... how was it able to find and string up dead crew members
prolly cuz the corpses emit pheromones!??
@@homeixgx but they are dead...
@@MistaMonsta1 And they emit horrible smells, don't they?
Because they were survivors who began to experience fear when they came too. Hence the ursa started to hunt them down one by one, using each corpse as a way of scaring other humans when they see them strung up. The ursa is a killing machine engineered to hunt, trap, and kill its prey using fear which is one of if not the strongest emotion humans have. Dear also has more side affects to it than most other emotions. Such as a raise in heartbeat and temperature. Whenever you sweat, your emotion can also slightly change the scent of your sweat. Fear changing or the most.
Plus the ursa doesn’t smell just any pheromone. It’s specific to fear. So it sets traps to scare you and cause you fear, then it locks on and kills.
my god i remember this movie. i watched this as a kid way to many times.
the movie almost felt like a dream.
yo bro i love your vids keep it up
I wish this recape existed before I went to the movies to watch this movie... what a ride.
I was very disappointed that Will Smith was barely in this movie. It felt like a nepo film designed to showcase his real life son even though his son's acting wasn't good enough yet. If they had equal time on camera, I think Will could have carried the film but it was very unequal. It had a lot of potential other than the obvious alien flaw
when i went to see this in theaters, I had to take my little cousin to the restroom and missed half the movie… swore I never watch it until now
Bro locked in 💀
Kitai working hard for The Political And Economic State Of The World for humanity, what a great guy!
The thumbnail was 🔥🔥🔥
My biggest question Is WHY ON EARTH ARE THEY USING SWORDS 1000 YEARS IN THE FUTURE ?!?! Don’t let the Ursa get close and shoot from a distance. Problem solved
From what i remember from the book, the ursa were genetically modified to have a very hard skeleton that usual bullets couldn't pierce and that led to death of thousands of soldiers. So they eventually went back to blades made of special metal that can pierce a ursa
@@sagardahiya6138 what book ?
@@sagardahiya6138ike that makes sense scientifically speaking...
@@sagardahiya6138 why not make bullets out of that special metal?
@@sagardahiya6138 sureeee so a sword can pierce their hard skin but a futuristic strong gun or rpg or explosive or whatever couldnt? right lets just agree this movie has many plot holes else the movie could not happen
Movie Recaps is awesome, thank you for the channel
if the monster can be killed by a spear with the force of a kid then a bullet should do the work aswell tho
I love your content keep it up!
Love your vids keep making them😍😍😍😍
When i saw Will Smith i said "let me give this video a chance". And then I saw Jaden....
phew, the mysterious nature of this channel almost got me here but then I noticed it's After Earth 😂
it says the title on screen in the beginning of each video??? cmon
imagine the guy from ad astra here as a ranger, he'd be completely invisible.
No wonder I haven't heard about this movie. Haha. Will Smith and his weird ass son are in it.
Can you throw "fallen" (1996 denzel Washington) recap on future lists please
This movie slaps!

Great movie.
When the condor died to save him, I almost cried the first time I watched the movie.

That movie has it's sequel cancelled.
Really cool movie
All he needs to do is slap the aliens! LOL!
this movie would be the best if mr. smith continue this
It's amazing, like nick cage
And tom cruise the fudgepacker every movie he's in, he's cast as will Smith, just sometimes in a different mood. Gotta love Cypher of bel air. ⁰
It’s slappin time.
Good movie.
Looks like they finally found the aliens' kryptonite: cochlear implants and shotguns.
Smith's kid needs acting classes.
Dude it was his first movie give him a break😊
@@charlesneely No.
@@charlesneely It was like his third movie tbh. Before that there was Karate kid and Pursuit of Happiness. But this was like his first breakout movie where he was an adult and playing a lead role, so you have to give the kid some slack.
I watched this movie 3 times but I still feel bad for the condure
What's this? A movie that has not been recapped multiple times on other recap channels?
The best thing the aliens could have done is keep Will Smith's wife's name outta their mouths.
That's where they fucked up...
corny and old, white guys aren’t gonna let this die are y’all?
WHY do you never mention the film title in any of your videos? is it so hard to write that in the description?

It’s literally the first thing you see
I wonder if Cypher slapped the aliens?

I saw this movie with some friends. I got the ticket for free. This was absolute torture sitting through this crap. I had to get up and go play in the arcade twice just to get through it. It also showed Jadens lack of acting ability, and why no one should ever hire him for an acting role again. It exposed will smiths ego at trying to make a movie by casting his own son would be a success.
This movie wasn't that bad. Y'all hate for some stupid reasons.
@@merrytunes8697 no, they are very legitimate reasons. It’s why Smith Jr no longer acts. Without his daddy’s influence and involvement, he has nothing.
@@kevinW826that's a lie, Jaden acted an amazing sad love story. Y'all are haters
@@IconversewithGod no we have better taste than watching a spoiled brat show off his lacklustre acting skills because his daddy’s ego was so out of control he couldn’t see the truth in what people told him. That his son sucks in front of the camera and should stay hidden away because the world is a better place without seeing him. Just like the world is a better place without his father slapping people around at the behest of his domineering wife.
@@kevinW826 ah yes show us your movies you acted in lets see how well you doing? oh wait? you never acted in your life? wow who wouldve thought
I saw this in theaters, and all i could think, was that will really downplayed his role to give his son a chance at the spotlight, and how bad of an actor his son was 😅
Jaden had already shown his acting skills in a couple of movies before this. The hate he received from this movie is unwarranted.
he's not bad lmao just mediocre and still need learning no need to insult him Will smith was not that better in his first appearance its just that he got into a blockbuster when he's not a full fledge actor yet and it show
@@merrytunes8697 yeah i swear people are so dumb so easy to talk shit from their couch being lazy all day and doing nothing, shittalking about young newbie actors not realizing that no actors started with perfect skills these skills develop overtime and even if he was mediocre (which i dont think he was) but even then he already doing waaay better than all of those people who shittalk yet they never acted in their life to realize how hard it really is
I skipped this movie when it was out. Glad I did.
Wait I saw this in theaters years ago
Ahhh yes, the 200 foot tall tree filled with a massive bird's nest guarded by a condor with a 30 foot wingspan.
The perfect hunting ground for 3 lions that aren't much bigger than the kid that was brought back as food...
This movie would have been much better if it had concentrated on survival and the kids connection with the eagle, in the end it was just a bunch of illogical equations thrown at the spectator.
The real enemy wasn't the Ursa, it was Chris Rock hiding on the planet for centuries plotting his revenge
was a good movie =)
Im sad for the bird only huhu
This was a good movie 4real

Wtf u don't start making your own recaps
I really liked After Earth
Where is the thumbnail from?
The hype definitely outweighed the finished thing here, in my opinion. Very disappointing flick
I guess now I can see now why Will Smith let his wife do that interview where she told him their marriage was an entanglement and she cheated on him, cause man was so good at hiding his emotions.
Have a good day
It's the prequel to 65.
Is this any movie
