I used to work at a lounge in Delaware owned by a few guys from Kenya and Uganda. Great people by the way! But I got to not only eat but learn how to cook nyama choma(roast goat) kachumbari and ugali! I absolutely fell in love with east African cuisine! God I wish I could remember which spices we used in the mbuzi fry! Mbuzi fry with ugali🤤🤤🤤
ghanaians call it Akple, tip: its a lot easier to mix the corn flour or meal with room temp water and add to the boiling water while stirring untill it set to prevent the lumps and makes stirring easier and can still add extra flour if needed.
Thank you so very much. I didn't eat Assida for 25 years now. I have been craving for it and couldn't find a video to tell me what kind of flour I need because in Sudan we used to use the Dukun flour (that small grinded grains). Thanks again and again
25 years is a long time sorry about that, over here we are using maize flour i hope this helps if not let me know and i will try to answer fully, many thanks for watching and stay blessed that you are
That is definitely on top of the to do list, i am assuming you're talking about Kuindiong if so one of my favourites and will be doing it very soon, stay tuned and many thanks for watching
I'm actually a student abroad, and I really missed this dish, gonna try my level best doing it 😎😎😎

Thanks for sharing. Our main food in Tanzania, we call it ugali.
Wow, this recipe is wonderful! it tastes exactly like my mother's cooking!
Delicious Ugali
Can you do a show about making kisra please? My hubby has been wanting me to learn! Thanks!
Great dish. In central and West Africa, we called it Fufu. Great delicacy here.
How can you tell if it is well cooked?

Very good, clear explanation.
Thanks for the guide. I didn't see you adding salt;though
I’m having trouble finding “maize flour” especially with the virus. Is Maseca “instant corn masa flour” the same thing?
Yeah
I make great ugali. My hubby loves it.

Well, we can't have your husband waiting we will definitely do a recipe for kisra, keep watch out, many thanks for wathcing
Does someone have a tip for cleaning the crust off the pot afterwards? 😅
Let it sit overnight in hot water inside or clean it right after with a scrub to prevent from drying
@@joskaodong3935 thank you! It really is so much easier if I clean it right away, or soak it immediately.
Can you please make kisra and also assida sweet
That is definitely on top of the to do list, i am assuming you're talking about Kuindiong if so one of my favourites and will be doing it very soon, stay tuned and many thanks for watching
