I was blown away that the mouse cursor can now be used on my MacBook or anywhere in my spatial apps or iPad apps floating it was insane. But I think it makes more sense to have the mouse work on the Vision Pro as opposed to Vision Pro work on the computer
Yea that sounds super cool you can use your trackpad if you connect your MacBook on everything hopefully? Hard to beat a trackpad/mouse for controlling things. But I can also see why someone would prefer not using a mouse if they could. Sounds like it should be an option just like hopefully allowing more than 1 Mac screen in the future too. The more options, the better. Especially when trying to use something as a computer.

So... broader context. What are your thoughts about the AVP for a **First Generation** XR headset? I get that that's a bit unfair to ask like that, as Meta and others have laid so much ground work. But even given that, what are your thoughts about what the AVP can do now as Apple's Gen1 XR device, and what it means for Apple's future as far as it's next Gen XR headsets, and what it means for the wider XR industry? Especially given Apple hasn't **fully** unlocked all the power they could (somethings, yes) with off loading functions onto other Apple devices, like full body tracking using the iPhone or iPad cameras and so on and so forth. As far as the "Apple Personas" that I've seen from all the reviews so far, my Banter and VRChat ReadyPlayerMe Avatars looks more like me IRL, than the closest AVP reviewer has to their "Apple Persona". At least IMO,
Apple NAILED this gen in terms of hardware but I think that was obvious. Apple's had so much time working with hardware whereas Meta has traditionally always been a software company. UI/UX is phenomenal. They really nailed it. Some things I would've liked to be better but overall amazing. The one thing is they need more guidance on how people can best appreciate and use AVP. It's not clear enough yet.
I want more from this thing :(. I want it to be more gaming focused...and it just isn't yet. I think I'd be way more tempted if there were a ton of immersive games like on the Quest. For now, it's a pass for me. I'm hoping in the future.

Not sure... on one hand, I'm sure there's people who bought it with the intent of returning after. On the other, once you experience it, it's hard to want to go back to watching show or doing anything any other way. I started wishing I could turn on my TV by looking at it and pinching (while not in headset). By the time the novelty wears off, the headset will probably be out of the return window.
Now i don't like to watch movies on a regular tv. Watching movies on Vision Pro is Your Private Movie Theater and the way you can resize your screen to your preference is awesome :D @@VRwithJasmine

The PRICE ??? So many people are poo-pooing the price of the Vision Pro? ..... but have NO PROBLEM gushing enthusiastically over the POS CyberTruck or the Rivian ($75,000 or more)....neither of which are ready for primetime and will be in the trash heap of tech while Apple will be on their 7th or 8th iteration of Spatial Computing. Does anyone doubt that Apple will offer a range of "flavors", each with their own price-point depending on the feature set? Sheesh.
It's the only decent micro OLED headset available for sale today (Bigscreen Beyond is not good enough). Once other companies start selling them too, it will seem far too expensive. Should take no more than 6 months until the party is over for apple.
Apple Vision Pro is worth every Pennie . Do the math ... A good home theatre is worth more than 5 Grand alone and it's not portable. Wait it's also a powerful computer ... Spacial Computer people. It can be used as a work tool and entertainment tool , both which are on the leading edge of tech. Still think it's expensive ?
Great video! Maybe you could do some videos on everyday nights with Vision Pro. Like how likely are you to watch a movie or tv show on Vision Pro compared to your tv…etc.
Can you challenge yourself to fully use the Vision Pro for editing and posting your video? The way Apple advertised the Mac integration is simple and comfortable to use. Great Review!!
So...Apple IS offering a PREMIUM product for less (money) than the previously released VR/AR products from other companies ???? Who ? Why can't your subs know which products this REALLY competes with...and the price-point of those products, specs....etc
Oh, you can! I just didn’t want this video to be super long. I was mostly talking about Varjo X3 and XTAL 3, but those are FULL VR and are used for simulations and 3D CAD so not a direct comparison but close enough. Back in the day (~2 years ago), those were $8000 and $12,000 respectively

The sad thing is that he was so ACTIVE before his accident, that being MOBILE is what he misses the MOST. AVP is PRICELESS for disabled people like him!!👍🏽 And we could ALL experience some form of disablement, if we LIVE LONG enough. Which makes Apple’s Vision of the Future COMPLETELY TRANSFORMATIVE ❤️🔥
I saw a lot of elderly at the Apple store looking at the headset, too, while I was picking up mine. The elderly in Western countries are so often forgotten and this is a great way for them to continue to "explore" and experience even with their limited mobility.
Only for those who wish to experience magical moments in virtual reality. It’s probably a nightmare for those who detest the idea of being blown away 🤷🏾
4500 is laughable..Hell 3500 is laughable.. Anyone that spends that is just a rich fan boy that doesn't care about their money. Nothing about it is worth that much over the Quest 3. Sure its good but not that much better than the $500 quest 3.
@@tomcody8184 But this is not the first. VR headsets have been out for a long time. The Quest 3 is almost as good and for 3000 less. Or in this case 4000 less. For $1000 the Vision Pro makes sense but not at 3500.
what a boring review, Apple Vision Pro does not have games, it does not have controls, it does not have UA-cam or Netflix, it does not have a comfortable strap, it does not have compatibility with computers, it does not have accessories, it cannot extend its battery life, there is no innovation that motivate your purchase compared to quest 3, what does it offer to justify its price?
Best is for you to keep using the Quest 3. The rest of us who really get it will enjoy the cutting edge in AR/VR headset tech with the Apple Vision Pro.

Price is relative, I love my new toy!
SAME!!!
There are zero Google apps available. Even iPad/iPhone versions. Google is purposefully avoiding the Vision Pro.
Why can't they all just get along and make our lives easier :(
1st.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi! What do you think of AVP?
@@VRwithJasmine I'm glad it exist. It's just sad that people are unaware that most of the stuff that it can do, we've been doing for a decade. Still it is very impressive. I hope it brings more people to "Spatial Computing", VR, XR, MR or whatever people want to call it. =)
What was the name of the dinosaur video ?
Encounter Dinosaurs
Mirror iphone on macbook then after mirror macbook to vision pro and see what will happen
That is a long chain of mirrors
The PRICE ??? So many people are poo-pooing the price of the Vision Pro? ..... but have NO PROBLEM gushing enthusiastically over the POS CyberTruck or the Rivian ($75,000 or more)....neither of which are ready for primetime and will be in the trash heap of tech while Apple will be on their 7th or 8th iteration of Spatial Computing. Does anyone doubt that Apple will offer a range of "flavors", each with their own price-point depending on the feature set? Sheesh.
This comment is highly appreciated and the absolute truth!
I sell paintings for more 🤷🏾
It's the only decent micro OLED headset available for sale today (Bigscreen Beyond is not good enough). Once other companies start selling them too, it will seem far too expensive. Should take no more than 6 months until the party is over for apple.
Exactly, 100% agreed 👍
Unless one of those flavors is VR or AR gaming.
What should I try on the Apple Vision Pro next?
Great video! Maybe you could do some videos on everyday nights with Vision Pro. Like how likely are you to watch a movie or tv show on Vision Pro compared to your tv…etc.
Do yall think apple are going to make a controller for the vision pro. For hardcore gamer like myself
Can you challenge yourself to fully use the Vision Pro for editing and posting your video? The way Apple advertised the Mac integration is simple and comfortable to use. Great Review!!
Try returning it for a refund.😎
Try to play steamvr games.
Is it the higher resolution that makes you speechless?
$4500.. Wow.. They got you good
Cant afford 😢
Love your videos honey
thank youuu
What exactly makes someone a "VR Expter"?? and this isn't VR...
This is exactly the kind of products we need more of, dehumanizing humans and creating more human isolation.
Honestly sounds absolutely awful to use your eyes and pinching for a Macbook, KB+M is SO much better for any serious tasks of any kind
Yea, I agree. It would’ve just been nice to be able to use my eyes + gesture in macbook and toggle a button to switch :)
Meta quest 3 is cheaper. You could buy 4 of it
Actually, you could buy at least 7 Meta Quest 3's for the price of Apple Vision Pro!
$4,500 why didnt you spend a full $10,000 on it like a true apple fan :(
Ran out of $. www.patreon.com/vrwithjasmine
Seems like every one I see buying it, is spending at least $4500. 😵💀
Excellent ....thanks. So we may see a comparison Video in the near future ?? I am subbing now and sending a modest Super Thanks with that in anticipation. Please consider adding not only price but availability, "support" equipment, reliability and power/battery life. @@VRwithJasmine

Try walking around in the virtual environments. Oh wait, you can't...
You can just poke everything on windows you don’t have to use your eyes
but using my eyes makes me feel I have telekinesis
Imagine NBA game court side camera…
Yes that is coming
A friend of mine accidentally fractured his spine a few years ago and is now paraplegic. I CAN’T WAIT for him to get one of these so he can experience live sporting events and concerts again!❤️🔥
@@Tonabillity yes Apple designed this with disabled in mind
@@shdmd2118 Yes, thank you for that!
That puts EVERYTHING in perspective.
In that case, WHO CARES what a few gamers think, or even what “I” think??🤷🏾
I have watched my friend suffer for 3 years.
The sad thing is that he was so ACTIVE before his accident, that being MOBILE is what he misses the MOST.
AVP is PRICELESS for disabled people like him!!👍🏽
And we could ALL experience some form of disablement, if we LIVE LONG enough.
Which makes Apple’s Vision of the Future COMPLETELY TRANSFORMATIVE ❤️🔥
This is so sweet
I saw a lot of elderly at the Apple store looking at the headset, too, while I was picking up mine. The elderly in Western countries are so often forgotten and this is a great way for them to continue to "explore" and experience even with their limited mobility.
😮 wow if someone make an AI chat bot 3d Avatar for vision pro it's boom 🤯💥💥💥 you you really fill you talking with an an human 😮😮😮
Is "VR expert" a good thing nowadays?
Only for those who wish to experience magical moments in virtual reality. It’s probably a nightmare for those who detest the idea of being blown away 🤷🏾
@@Tonabillity Thanks dude! Im trying to avoid those weirdos
VR has been rebranded to Spatial. So it should now be spatial experiences expert. Both are pretty naff, to be honest.
I think so
Remember this is a first gen product. First entry, everything will only get better and more magical.
Shheeeeep
I'm waiting for the first decent micro OLED headset that isn't from Apple.
Because you are miss handling it!
Please do not start the video in the middle of a word in max volume
4500 is laughable..Hell 3500 is laughable.. Anyone that spends that is just a rich fan boy that doesn't care about their money. Nothing about it is worth that much over the Quest 3. Sure its good but not that much better than the $500 quest 3.
First Macintosh 128 $2500 in 1984. $7300 in today’s dollars. First LaserWriter $7500 in 84.
Yes it’s that much better than quests 3
@@tomcody8184 But this is not the first. VR headsets have been out for a long time. The Quest 3 is almost as good and for 3000 less. Or in this case 4000 less. For $1000 the Vision Pro makes sense but not at 3500.
@@shdmd2118 Not at 7X the cost.
@@chaosengine3772 yes it is . I would not buy the meta quest for $100 but I would buy the Vision Pro just comparing the two and I have never used Vr
what a boring review, Apple Vision Pro does not have games, it does not have controls, it does not have UA-cam or Netflix, it does not have a comfortable strap, it does not have compatibility with computers, it does not have accessories, it cannot extend its battery life, there is no innovation that motivate your purchase compared to quest 3, what does it offer to justify its price?
Best is for you to keep using the Quest 3. The rest of us who really get it will enjoy the cutting edge in AR/VR headset tech with the Apple Vision Pro.
Vision Pro spec is comparable to gaming laptop I’m so sure a ton of games will be ported to Vision Pro this year
@@romandevivo1163 What use would you give it that you couldn't do in Quest 3?
It has what I've been waiting years for: Hi resolution micro OLED displays. It's the first decent micro OLED headset. Bigscreen Beyond doesn't count as it isn't good enough.
I would never buy this overpriced apple headset, but it shows what is coming from other companies soon.
THE DISPLAYS ARE ✨EVERYTHING✨ It's not even fair for me to explain it in a video. Once you experience 'Encounter Dinosaurs' for the first time, I was SPEECHLESS. It's so realistic and you just can't get that level of clarity with any other consumer headset IMO.
thanks for a great review
Thank you! I think I’m getting better at making review videos 🥰
