  • In this video, I do an unboxing and impressions video of a classic favourite of mine, the Nokia E66 which I found recently refurbished and in a good condition. I'm opening the box for the first time on video, to keep my impressions are genuine as possible :) I had previously owned the device back in the day so was happy to find it once again in my favourite colour!
The Nokia E66 was released back in 2008, right before the first mainstream Nokia touch device was announced, the Nokia 5800. The Nokia E66 ran on Symbian 9.2, which really showcased how good Symbian ran on non-touchscreen devices. It was fast, feature-packed, and the hardware of the Nokia E66 still looks good today. The Nokia E series was a more business-focused series of devices, which focused on simplicity and elegance, as opposed to the N series which was aimed at multimedia users.
What made the Nokia E66 special is the hardware, a mixture of stainless steel and plastic, as well as the satisfying slider mechanism, and sleek design.
    This video includes:
    00:00 - Introduction
    00:55 - Unboxing
    05:51 - Hardware and Software
    09:04 - Specifications
    09:51 - Camera
    10:27 - Size comparison
I hope you enjoy this video :)

Great review. My mom had one of these in 2008 (I was 10 at that time) and we still keep it. Now I just need to plug in a new battery and it should work.

Hi Abdulla, this phone is sick, reminds me my E7, sleek business oriented phone, quality of build was superb and unbeatable by no one at that time. My favourite device pre touch screen era was Nokia N95 8GB. I loved the camera and overall, was such a power house in 2008. The only downside was clicking noise slider was making, but I managed to unscrew the slider and replace the seals / fix the problem (there were already youtube tutorials in 2008/09 how to do it :D )
    Cheers!

Yes, you can definitely see some of the E series genes being passed along all the way to the Nokia E7 :) The N95 8GB was such a beast for its time. In my opinion the best Symbian device. They really messed it up with the N96 and N97 later.... At the time though, I was more inclined to choose something stylish, so never ended up owning one!

    This feels oddly familiar.
But then when you took the phone out i immediately realized that I had a phone just like this one. And finally I have it's name
