That glitter is WOW!!! Usually difficult to see shine on camera, but that is stunning! A little goes a long way! The cards are gorgeous!

Card No 1 is 🤩 The blending stump on the pencil created a great look.
Been making my own greeting cards since the early 1980's and my motto has always been "If it's not working, it's notsparklyenough".

Yeah I struggle with watercolour paper in UK too! It's so expensive!
However, I have invested in Arches and Saunders Waterford (all heavyweight, cold press) and these are definitely the best I've tried for my style/techniques. (I find buying large sheets work out better value than the pads, and bulk buying when the sales are on). I use Jackson's atm. For detailed work/ stamping, I use Fabriano (or Arches) hot press.
The 'student' grade paper I use to practise on/make basic backgrounds, and even some cards, is the Claire Fontaine studio pad (you get 100 sheets for £19, used to be £7 tho(!) - can you believe that?!)
Upsides: it's reasonable value & contains some cotton; downsides - it's rather thin and isn't pure white. But I definitely prefer it to other cheaper, even some artist grade papers I've tried.

Hey Sasha the best watercolour card I've found is the Pink Frog Watercolour card. Craftstash sell it and I absolutely love it. I have tried tim holtz and bockingford and the creative craft range but the Pink Frog is by far my favourite for being able to stamo images and watercolouring on.

Re: watercolor paper, Arches is Awesome, but a bit pricey. Academy watercolor paper pads is also a good 1 & is budget friendly. As long as you buy a 100% cotton paper & 300-350 gsm (120-130 lbs) your paper won’t buckle.
Also check out Penny Black’s channel, she also does watercolor paintings on a stamped image. Hope this helps? 🤶🏻Happy☃️Holidays🎅🏻

Canson graduate watercolor cardstock I get it at Walmart & it's 250 GM but it works fabulously for my project

Canson XL watercolor Paper is a good option, as is Strathmore 300 Series papers
