The English touchstones were a bit frustrating at times due to the turnaround time. That being said… for someone who has been out of school for a while, it was very helpful and encouraging going through Sophia. I finished the English comp 1 and 2 and they took about 3 weeks each. The trick is to submit a touchstone and by the time you have it returned, The next one needs to be done and ready to submit. Only problem is on English comp 2 you had to wait for the touch stone to be graded and submit the same paper.
I have finished about 40 plus units from there. Great experience. Just seen they added English 3 and Iv seen you can get rid of s natural science too but not too sure about it.

Yeah I had to give up on English in Sophia. It felt like the people grading the touchstone took way too long to send my assignment back to me. I love the website, but I steered clear of touchstones
That's true. Some courses had a lot of touchstones (I think English Composition II had 7). At that point, it's probably faster to just use something else like SDC or even taking the class at WGU instead.
I finished my English in about 1 week this December. They would grade my assignments almost 2-3hrs after.

@@justintongol7581 oh I just took it with my school because I didn’t know they allowed credits to still be transferred in after starting the term. If I knew before hand I would’ve CLEPed it out

WGU is awful with accepting credits, I have got 60 credits from college (GPA 4.0) and they just accepted 36 of those! I am going to UMPI! Do you have a video that navigates around Sophia's website? How do we go by picking courses?

There are 2 active Course in my deshboard. I can't finished that course.. So i cant run another course also. So how can i quit a course.. Because already have 2 active courses.

I signed up on Sophia normally but I didn't go through the WGU portal or anything. Is there a way to get to that view? Do you get to indicate the school you're going to when you sign up for payment? I have only created my account on the site, not started the $99/mo yet.
Send an email to Sophia and ask them to add you to the WGU group. It sounds like they don't have you linked to any school right now so you might be on their generic page that shows every course they have. You can still take classes that way, but I'd recommend just asking them to add you under the right school.

How can I complish multiple touchstone classes faster?
english composition through sophia should take at least 4 weeks to complete due to grading times alone.

Hey Cameron. What's the maximum amount of credits you can transfer into the BSCSIA?
You mean just Sophia credits or in total? If you mean in total, you can transfer up to 75% of the degree. I transferred in 70% (86 credits) using a combination of Sophia, SDC, and IT certifications.

@@TechniCurlSupport Ok. Yeah I think 75% is around 91.5 credits. To be safe though I probably wouldn't exceed 89 credits since the WGU courses vary between being worth 3-6 credits each.

How do you know which classes have touchstones and milestones, and which ones don’t?
You can start a trial. It will allow you to view the syllabus and you can open the units and see what there is to complete. It won't let you do past the first challenge but at least you can see the outline of the class.
how do i know if a credit will successfully transfer to WGu . for instance, I wanted to take the statistics course in Sophia but its only 2 credits but in WGU it says the class must be 3 credits . would it still fulfill the transfers requirement in that case ?
The only way to know for sure is to ask WGU. There is a place in the WGU website that tells you which courses are equivalent. Good luck!

The DB class was hard. I didn't like their study material so I used UA-cam videos instead to learn the basics.

100%. It's still by far one of the fastest way to earn college credit. I don't think they change it often so I wouldn't worry about them changing it again anytime soon.

Yes. You can't transfer any more credit once you start at WGU.
Should i get the 4 month supscription or should i just do 1 month at a time?
Personally I'd do 1 month at a time, but once you've done a course or two, you'll be able to roughly estimate how long it'll take you to do most of them. You also have a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't like it.
Does the final exam require online live proctor?
Sophia's exams are not proctored.
What does it mean by expiration? I have heard some of the classes expire so you can’t transfer

1) I can attest that for me they allowed three classes
2) for the milestones. I combined PDFs on all the chapters so it’s one pdf. So I could easily do control f and find stuff.
