The photo it’s okay either way and about the printing I’m not sure but since it’s not mentioned in the guidelines I guess it should be okay to print on both sides. Just to make sure ask the embassy/university if it is allowed

You would most likely fill it up using word or any other text based program. I would recommend you fill out as much as you can in the computer and then give it to the recommender, as it would look more professional, but you can fill in thing by hand and that would not disqualify your application or anything like that

He took the plane in the bay and he immediately adapted to this new environment. He is used to live in small appartements with 2-3 hours of walk per day. I have pursued hard time-consuming studies so far and having a dog has never been a problem, on the contrary it has allowed me to maintain a good physical condition and a clean mental health. Do you think that owning a dog could prevent me from getting the scholarship? Should I mention it in my personal statement or say nothing until the end of the selection?

I think I mentioned this already but short answer is yes, you can apply to multiple scholarship as long as they are not another form of GKS. As for the dog I wouldn’t mention it. Idk if you are applying for GKS-U or G but if you don’t know Korean and have to take the first language training year you are obligated to live in campus and dogs are not allowed in dorms. After that you can rent and apartment if you have the money and having a dog wouldn’t be a problem but it depends on your financial situation. Know that first year would not be possible to bring him

It depends on your embassy I guess. I talked about the general rules of GKS but sometimes embassies change some requirements and in those cases you need to confirm any doubts directly with them

There is no such thing as a copy of the recommendation letter per say. You need to ask the recommended for 4 sets of recommendation letters in a sealed envelopes signed. One per each set of documents just as the check list

I don’t really know why you would need it other than to attach a non-A4 document to an A4 paper. But in that case, yes you can. Make sure that it is tidily attached
I have submitted my application form last week but all the documents are original format with English translation. Is there any chance for me? Coz I didn't think there's a need to authenticate after I submit the original. I hope it won't affect my chance? I used the Embassy track
Unfortunately it won’t be accepted and you won’t get those original documents back. That is why it is SO important to read the application guidelines CAREFULLY before submitting anything. Try contacting your embassy but I don’t know if they will be able to give it back to you 🤷🏻♀️ good luck!

Don’t get discouraged about that but I do think that if you can try to boost your application it is worth doing so 💪🏼 talk to other GKS from your country and ask them how it was for them some places are less competitive than other or the average GPA of the applicants may be higher or lower 🤷🏻♀️

You mean for the grade transcript right? I think that may be enough but depends on your embassy if they will accept it or not. Since it has the seal and everything I think it will be fine
Had a question, in 'Embassy track - excel sheet' the field medicine is mentioned in a highlighted part along with Artificial Intelligence and other fields, also not much info about these fields are included in the sheets (like language department, language, remarks)..Medicine is also not included in the some 'Overview of the University' pdfs (only in SNU's overview it is included) does that make any difference? Cause I want to apply through Embassy track...What's with the highlighting? For example, I want to apply in Yonsei, in the excel sheet, med is included in the highlighted part but it's not in the Overview pdf? If that is so, do I have to go with University track? Medicine is only available through embassy track. As I said university track is only for natural science and engineering majors. I don’t know what the highlighted thing you mentioned is because I haven’t checked the list for all majors and all universities but maybe it’s because it’s not available in that uni idk, if you have doubts about any specific major it’s always best to contact the university directly. You have the contact information for each one of the files too
Hi i want to ask, the guidlines says that you can use high school grades OR associate degree grades to apply. But the application form wants high school grades. Can i use my associate degree grades to fill in or i still need to use my high school grades? Or I need to include both? Please reply~
I think you need the high school grades regardless of your associate degree. I had a degree myself and apply through my high school grades but maybe in your country is different 🤷🏻♀️ if you want to be 100% sure contact the embassy/university and ask them directly

You need a total of 4. The original set and three additional copies of the set. The first one is the one for the embassy itself and the other three will be distributed to your universities of choice once you pass to the second round

Yes, in the case of English certificates only notarization will do since there’s no need for the oficial translation. Make sure not to send the original but the authenticated copy!

You don’t need authenticated translation and depending on what type of doc it is you will need apostille or nothing at all (info on that in the first check list table)

That’s an excellent question! I want to apply to GKS-G (potentially) in the future and I’ll have two bachelors so I would like to find out what the official answer is. In my opinion putting only one (the one related to the master) will do, but if you get an answer directly from the NIIED that would be better than anything I can tell you

Hi! I am currently applying for Ewha through the GKS-G program under the university track. I am from the Philippines and I already passed the 1st round of admission. I think there are only 2 applicants who passed from my country. Do you have a clue if I have a high chance of getting into the 2nd round? I didn't submit TOPIK nor IELTS certificate(same as all the applicants from my country) and I didn't join any extra curricular activities either. But I did graduate as Cum Laude and received a few certificates from my previous work.
If what you mean is that you passed the university acceptance round and the only thing left is to be accepted by the NIIED then you most likely already got it 😊 is very unlikely that they will not take you. Only due to serious problems like extreme illness or drug usage, political controversies, falsification of documents or stuff like that is that they would turn down an applicant

Depends on your country and how competitive it is. I didn’t have certificates for all the things I did, I mostly just talked about on my PS and then brought the certificates I did have to the interview in case they would want to see it. In my case they didn’t ask for any 🤷🏻♀️

No, you have to apply on the next round on September of the following year. Classes in Korea start in March and you need to arrive in February so it is virtually impossible for you to apply with an expected graduation date in June or July
All schools do. Sometimes people don’t know what document to provide when you ask for a transcript but if you explain the situation they should be able to get you something similar to what I mentioned in the video. I had to go several places and wait a really long time for mine, so get working on that 💪🏼

Pretty much as I said on the video, only if you get your graduation certificate before February, so you will have to wait a year. Try to use it to study corean, take extra classes and do volunteering to up your chances

Mmm this is a very tricky situation. The only way for you to prove that is with a document from the school so you will have to try again maybe with someone else and see what you get. If they don’t keep the records in the school itself, then have them tell you were else to go because of legal reasons those records must be stored somewhere without being deleted so there should be another place where to get them if not the school
Yes but dance major is suuuuper competitive here. As you may know Koreans start learning and training in different dance disciplines since they are very young so you need to be sure of your abilities to go for that

As I have said on many on my videos, please watch them there are a lot of useful info on my channel about what you are asking already, you have to select all universities in the same major to be consistent and potentially selected and of course if you chose dance you have to mark the corresponding category (entertainment and sports) not engineering. That’s makes no sense and will only make you fail the application if you do that so don’t try anything weird 🙏🏼

Hi, am applying for the GKS through the embassy track for 2023. I want to ask if I should submit a total of 3 forms because through the embassy track I can apply to 3 universities.
You need a total of 4. The original set and three additional copies of the set. The first one is the one for the embassy itself and the other three will be distributed to your universities of choice once you pass to the second round

Hey in the form is written that embassy applicants must choose 3 different universitys and departments, which means that the department doesnt really have to be the same, i wanna study biology education in one of the unis and its department is natural science but in the other 2 ones i chose i wanna study education that is in the liberal arts& Social Science department(cuz sadly there is only ONE university which i mentioned first that has biology education major, what do u think about it?

Yes, if you don’t need to prove the 20% thing because you have a higher GPA and your country doesn’t use ranks, just leave it empty

Yes, in the case of English certificates only notarization will do since there’s no need for the oficial translation. Make sure not to send the original but the authenticated copy!

so just to be certain you DONT need to apostille/authentic copy etc if your documents are already in English?
You don’t need authenticated translation and depending on what type of doc it is you will need apostille or nothing at all (info on that in the first check list table)

Yes many people do that and drop out once they have been selected for the scholarship

Yes, none of the optional things need authentication if I remember correctly but if it’s in a different language you need the notarized translation

So the thing is there is one original copy and other three is photocopy. So I should notarized one copy and get photocopies of that or should I notarized each document of each set?

That’s an excellent question! I want to apply to GKS-G (potentially) in the future and I’ll have two bachelors so I would like to find out what the official answer is. In my opinion putting only one (the one related to the master) will do, but if you get an answer directly from the NIIED that would be better than anything I can tell you

Yes, that’s exactly what I explained in the video. You need to ask the recommender to give you three letters on sealed envelopes

Hi! I am currently applying for Ewha through the GKS-G program under the university track. I am from the Philippines and I already passed the 1st round of admission. I think there are only 2 applicants who passed from my country. Do you have a clue if I have a high chance of getting into the 2nd round? I didn't submit TOPIK nor IELTS certificate(same as all the applicants from my country) and I didn't join any extra curricular activities either. But I did graduate as Cum Laude and received a few certificates from my previous work.
If what you mean is that you passed the university acceptance round and the only thing left is to be accepted by the NIIED then you most likely already got it 😊 is very unlikely that they will not take you. Only due to serious problems like extreme illness or drug usage, political controversies, falsification of documents or stuff like that is that they would turn down an applicant

Depends on your country and how competitive it is. I didn’t have certificates for all the things I did, I mostly just talked about on my PS and then brought the certificates I did have to the interview in case they would want to see it. In my case they didn’t ask for any 🤷🏻♀️

No, you have to apply on the next round on September of the following year. Classes in Korea start in March and you need to arrive in February so it is virtually impossible for you to apply with an expected graduation date in June or July

All schools do. Sometimes people don’t know what document to provide when you ask for a transcript but if you explain the situation they should be able to get you something similar to what I mentioned in the video. I had to go several places and wait a really long time for mine, so get working on that 💪🏼

Mmm this is a very tricky situation. The only way for you to prove that is with a document from the school so you will have to try again maybe with someone else and see what you get. If they don’t keep the records in the school itself, then have them tell you were else to go because of legal reasons those records must be stored somewhere without being deleted so there should be another place where to get them if not the school

Yes but dance major is suuuuper competitive here. As you may know Koreans start learning and training in different dance disciplines since they are very young so you need to be sure of your abilities to go for that

As I have said on many on my videos, please watch them there are a lot of useful info on my channel about what you are asking already, you have to select all universities in the same major to be consistent and potentially selected and of course if you chose dance you have to mark the corresponding category (entertainment and sports) not engineering. That’s makes no sense and will only make you fail the application if you do that so don’t try anything weird 🙏🏼
