I remember meeting Alexia & Violet back in 2015 at a annual thanksgiving run in our city. We were volunteers that were spectating/helping the runners near the finish line. At the time they were in high school and I remember them telling me about how exited they were to start their band “Destroy Boys”. They invited to to come to some of there first small shows but I too was a busy high schooler at the time (boy do I regret it). It’s a trip seeing them grow into amazing musicians and creating awesome music especially knowing where they began. Shouts to Sacramento!

Been following these guys for a while and I’m happy they’re finally picking up after the release of their newest album. “Drink” is an absolute masterpiece. Happy Fender is helping the revival of Pop Punk

yeah i mean, you could say it's "pop punk" in the way where it's punk music that's popular, it's not the most abrasive punk music (i mean, their first album is) but it's definitely not pop punk in spirit. has way more roots vibes and they don't really stick to a genre rather than sticking to a core "feel" with many influences. also who cares anyway they're cool!!!
This video fills me with soo much joy. I'm sad that I havent found this earlier :( I love them so much - they give me so positive vibes and just make me happy and I love that they get recognized by larger audiences now!!!

Not insulting the band but lets get real, they dont need a $1000 strat. A K-mart guitar for $50 would do the same job. ps, I loved the sex pistols back in the day and the same applied to them, a 3 chord thrash requires little in the way of quality instruments other than something with strings sort of in tune and a very loud amp on full distortion.
Thing is it depends on if they want a good sound or a shit sound. Imo if they wanna be grungy or punky I agree besides the fact I’d rather have the 1k instrument cuz it’ll feel better than a 50 dollar guitar.

I see so many people here complaining about this band trying to be "woke". Grow tf up there's nothing woke about them all their songs are about breakups lol, not everything has an agenda. I hate preachy music as much as the next guy but this isn't R.A.T.M.
To be fair they have said that one of the songs off this new albums is about or at least influenced by hating the police. (Not that it matters because their music slaps)
