Suggestions that a radical transformation must take place (true) but be immediately be experienced in fullness causes many to doubt the assurance of their salvation. Doubting one's salvation has not damned anyone. Presumption of being saved despite a contrary life has damned a great many. All that stands to be lost is simply comfort in the first case. In the latter case one loses his own soul. I'll take the former over the latter any day. The main problem in Evangelicalism has always been easy-believism (in recent times anyway). Besides, if a so-called believer does not earnestly and fervently yearn to experience a transformation in fullness, something is very clearly wrong.

If you're talking about ACTS 16 and the Philippian jailer, that's not "IF" you believe, like it was some bogus choice; it was an exhortation to believe. The Holy Spirit was already fully engaged and working conversion in the jailer's soul, and Paul recognized that. The Jailer KNEW when he heard the NAME that He was the truth, because peace replaced the turmoil of his heart. The jailer's Faith was immediately expressed by bringing Paul and Silas into his home and dressing their wounds. God brought about all these things including having Paul and Silas beaten and thrown into jail, and including an earthquake: all that just to save the jailer. God will move mountains if necessary to save His sheep wherever they might be or in whatever circumstances they are in. In fact, I think this all was deliberately started by God when Paul, not knowing where to go next was confronted in a dream by a man bidding them to come over to Macedonia. A lot of believers can relate to the jailer.

Perfection is the goal a.k.a. Sanctification. You won't be the same person ten years from now, and you won't be the same person ten years after that. Repentance has nothing to do with salvation!! A non believer cannot repent of their sins. You must first believe in Yehusha (Christ) as the Son of God and he will send the Holy Spirit to live in you forever. The Holy Spirit will guide you through repentance.
You are mistaken. The same way a non believer cannot repent, is the same way a non believer cannot believe in Jesus. Why? Because they’re dead in their sin. (Eph 2:1) A dead person can’t do anything. Yet Jesus repeatedly preached “repent and believe in the gospel” to the unbelievers. Mark 1:15 for example. Now how can an unbeliever repent and believe in the gospel when they’re dead in sin and have a heart of stone? Because in Ezekiel 36:26, which is God’s promise of the new covenant, He says that He will take the heart of stone and make it a heart of flesh. Meaning He takes the unrepentant, unbothered by sin heart and makes it responsive to sin. Additionally, Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that the ability to have faith in Christ/believe in God is a gift from God, not a result of our own doing. Paul Washer has dreadful theology. Repentance is no more complicated than changing you mind and attitudes so that you genuinely want to follow God's precepts. Paul Washer is foremostly a missionary. He's not a celebrity, but he is "known" to proclaim the gospel and he is a kind, loving, humble, truthful and sincere man. Also, these videoes/soundfiles with thumbnails are almost always misleading in some way. Paul is not the kind of man who would stand for this, or for stuff being taken out of context etc. It's not as if he needs someone to defend him, as he's a brother in Christ and much loved both on earth and in heaven. Your comment is more in line with spiritual reality. A wife who has a husband produces fruit naturally. That's the simplicity of the whole christian life. That's where they need to get to in their understanding and their experience. The answer is oneness with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Repentance is no more complicated than changing you mind and attitudes so that you genuinely want to follow God's precepts.
The scriptural salvation message is repent, be baptized, get filled with the Holy Spirit.
That is how the Apostles were saved 2000 years ago and it is the exact same process today.
Nope. True repentance is sorrow that you’ve sinned against the Lord and forsaking it. No longer living for yourself and your desires but to the Lord who bought you with His shed blood on the cross.

Paul Washer is foremostly a missionary. He's not a celebrity, but he is "known" to proclaim the gospel and he is a kind, loving, humble, truthful and sincere man.
Also, these videoes/soundfiles with thumbnails are almost always misleading in some way.
Paul is not the kind of man who would stand for this, or for stuff being taken out of context etc.
It's not as if he needs someone to defend him, as he's a brother in Christ and much loved both on earth and in heaven. Still.
