  • Cle de Peau is a brand that I have used for a long time. It's the first luxury brand that I used for a full line of skincare. I love their cream foundation and when I saw the new radiant fluid foundation release I knew I had to try it! Since Cle de Peau was having a sale, I decided it was time to re-acquaint myself with their makeup! #cledepeau

    About me:
    I'm a 49 year old with a busy full time job and three older pups who I love dearly. I'm sure Bailey, Harper and Remi will make guest appearances from time to time. I've always loved makeup, fashion and beauty and worked as a makeup artist while in school to make extra money...although that was many years ago now. I have dry, rosacea prone skin with wrinkles and skin damage caused by the fact that I'm no longer 20.

    I love it as an everyday look, too. I'm not a fan of the Rose Prism. Thank you for recognizing that there are some of us "older" (me) women who do still wear
    a bolder eye (my words) and don't criticize it -you truly respect our individualities. I'm sure there are women who would look at me and say "yikes". But, I'm not fair at all and love wearing bolder colors, mostly Dior and Chanel. There are so many makeup artists out there who criticize older women for their makeup preferences. You never do that and it's appreciated. I love makeup, wearing it and playing with it.

    Completely agree with you regarding pigmentation in products - enough so you don't have to mess around but not too much that you can't blend it out and/or fix it! I definitely need to check out CDP products! x

    I hear you regarding the bronzers, as far as I'm aware they only have two shades and, even though I'm have light/medium warm toned, neither bronzer is an option for me.
    The Luminizers are gorgeous! I was, wrongly so, under the impression they were somewhat "glittery". Seeing you use the No. 16 and achieve a glorious sheen was eye opening for me. Well, there's another product to be added to the Cle de Peau list, 😉
    I love the eye look, subtle enough to be classy. Yes please ..... 🗣📢🗯 LIST!!!!!
    Love ya, 💗

    Still watching, but although this is radiant it doesn’t look excessively radiant. The reformulation of the Le Teint is definitely easier to sheer out than the original formula. I think you’d appreciate that it is not a flat matte 🤗💜 did you say warm bronzer 😳😳🤩🤣🤣🤗🤣

    On another note.....Cle de Peau's skincare.... I only use their eye cream as I find all of their skincare products to be overly fragranced and cause my dry-sensitive skin to breakout. I currently use mostly Biologique Recherge for my skincare routine. Thanks again for your review.

    Hi Jen, this quad looks gorgeous on you! I also love Cle de Peau... I love almost every product I've ever tried including this new foundation. If you're getting the stick concealer, also try the radiant corrector for eyes in the liquid/brush packaging... coverage is a bit lighter than the stick, but my absolute favorite since it launched. I've tried both bronzers in 1 & 2... the formula is amazing, but both shades are too warm for me and I prefer cooler leaning bronzers... one of the very few CDP products I didn't keep. I'm also looking forward to getting their upcoming holiday collection... and yes it's way too soon for all these holiday items!!!

    Yes! One of my favorite "You Tuber's" is reviewing this product! The B20 looks absolutely perfect on you. Back story.... so, last week, I decided to "bite the bullet" and repurchase my "holy grail" foundation....."The Foundation". THEN, come to find out, Cle de Peau just released the one you are reviewing. Well......I just had to have it as well. Sadly.....I do not find this new foundation to be very radiant. It is almost as matte as their Radiant Matte foundation. I was so disappointed because as "The Foundation" actually looks better as the day wears on, this new Radiant Foundation kinda looks like makeup on me. Bah..... ..... But, thank you so much for this review. 🥰

    I got samples of this foundation months ago and the color match was so bad. They have dark shades, but they're olive and neutral (like grey not balanced). I think if you're of Indian, versus African descent, they might work for you. I tend to make a variety of undertones work, but I couldn't do this. I'm not sure if it was purposeful or it was one of those things were they didn't spend a lot of time developing the brown shades.

    • @Allfeisty
      @Allfeisty  3 роки тому

      I agree about the color matching issue! If you find a shade that works for you it’s awesome but so much if the time it’s impossible to find the right undertones.

    Another great video! 🥰 I love the Chanel Ultra Le Teint! It’s not too heavy or matte at all - I’d be surprised if you don’t love it! ❤️ 😂😂 - the comments re Massachusetts! 🤣 I’m in Hopkinton, fashion capital of the “Midwest of Massachusetts”

      I have it as well and love the finish and way it wears-only issue is getting a good color match for my somewhat golden olive skin. Chanel still has shade range issues.

      @@Allfeisty Oh, wow, a reply already! I've been a long time subscriber, and so appreciate your doing these reviews while working a full time job. Also, I so know what you mean by revisiting old favorites. When I was working (I'm now retired) and could finally afford good makeup/skincare, I jumped into Chanel with two feet. Then I thought that in retirement I should back off and try drugstore brands. Nope, not happy. Have discovered Chanel all over again. And I still put makeup on every day, even if staying home to clean the bathrooms!

    I wasn't impressed by the powder. It definitely fell into my lines, on the back of my hand, and looked quite white (though I guess that isn't an issue for you). The Chantecaille loose powder is much better for dry skin IMO. I am very picky about powders though.

    Sometimes it annoys me when people say super pigmented, it's like that is normal pigmented for me. I don't have to spend forever building it up. PMG is a dark skinned black woman, why would she create eyeshadows that she would have difficulty using?

    • @Allfeisty
      @Allfeisty  3 роки тому

      Totally agree. What is super pigmented to one is normal to another. Same is true on the other side. I was so surprised how many people loved rose prisme and to me there’s nothing there. Always important to have perspective and recognize that not every product is for everyone and that there needs to be options for everyone not just a select few.

    • @JessieBanana
      @JessieBanana 3 роки тому

      @@Allfeisty Yeah, I think for the other side people confuse pigment with depth. A light colored palette can still be difficult to work with and not worth the money because the shades lack good pigmentation and/or texture. Mel Thompson was describes this well and was disappointed with the Rose Prisme palette for that reason. You can like the end result because you have skills and can make it work, but it can be in your opinion not worth the price point. Who wants to struggle with luxury?

    • @Allfeisty
