- Today, I'm reviewing the new Cle De Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Matte foundation. I tested it out both with a primer and without over two days. The foundation contains anti-aging skincare so the price point is $130 for 1.1 fl oz. It offers 24 hour wear, a soft matte finish with a radiant medium/full coverage appearance. I’ve been loving your hair lately (I think it’s the hair, both it being more flat and closer to the face and lighter). It makes u look younger and fresh. And I really love this foundation color on you, it’s my fave on you. I feel it gave you a natural skin look without washing you out like a lot of medium/ full foundations do; u could wear this foundation w/out any contouring, bronzer or blush because the color was so good it looked like real skin but amazing skin

The foundation looks really beautiful on you. You look flawless yet natural. I love most of Cle De Peau. Cannot wait to get this. I have their pressed powder (refillable) in the luxury super thin navy case. It is perfect for the purse. Takes up barely any room.

This looks beautiful on you! I haven't tried a Cle de Peau foundation that I haven't liked, including "The Foundation". I cannot wait to try this one. The only negative to their line is their shade range. Cannot seem to get a perfect match without mixing two colors, which for me, becomes quite pricey.

It doesn't seem to transfer too much! I wore a high neck white top so I did see some foundation on it later on which is to be expected. When I touch my face it feels like it is completely set in place :) xx

Hi Erin: Maybe try B20 instead of B30? That would come off less "pink" if you will. I tried the O20 and it worked for me but I felt jaundice. My CDP concealer is Beige so switched to B20 and like it better. I do not feel jaundice and it matches well with my CDP concealer. No line of demarcation on the jawline.....blends nicely there. I cannot say I feel the B20 is "pink" just not as yellow as the O20. Finding a color match can be a challenge...hate this part. ;) Are you also saying you have a sunless tanner on your face thus why the B30 works now but otherwise the B20 without a sunless tanner would be better for you? Please clarify if you can..........thanks so much!

i think this looks gorgeous on you, and i definitely prefer the first look without the primer. it’s such a natural finish that says « perfect skin » compared to the 2nd look that says « perfect makeup ». both are great & the shade is just right too !! 💗

Thanks for the video! I would love to see you compare this with the Tom Ford. I am looking for a luxury foundation for events such as a family wedding in Miami. I prefer products with sunscreen but I've heard you talk about flashback in photos. Is that an issue in natural light?

I purchased this foundation recently and it does give a beautiful coverage and the most important thing for me is that it does not transfer!! I get hot flashes and was presently surprised when I blotted my face and NOTHING came off, I have yet to meet a foundation that can do that. I've tried Nars and it failed, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury and on and one. This is the only one that does not transfer.
Erin, this foundation looks amazing on you. On camera this doesn’t look pink. I find that I get along with NARS colors much better.

Cle De Peau tends to run very sheer. Glad this has more coverage and it looks absolutely amazing on your skin!!! ❤️ It’ll be interesting to see half guerlein and half of this foundation on each side of the face to see how the lasting power and finish. Hi Erin, great review. That looks beautiful on you.I would like your opinion. I have large pores and I am always searching for a better coverage luminous foundation. I have quite a few. Some of my faves are Guerlain L'Essentiel, La Mer Soft fluid, Chanel Perfection Lumiere, YSL All Hours, Lancome Idole Ultra Wear, Lancome L'Absolu cream, Givenchy Teint Couture. Is the CDP better than these? I am interested but do not want to spend money foolishly.

Erin your skin and your makeup always looks impeccable and just beautiful but I thought this foundation made your skin look absolutely flawless and as if it had been airbrushed even though the color was a tad pink for you. I need a new foundation as now with age my EL Double Wear looks flat, dull, dry on, and unfortunately, I have a backup to get through as well so would you be an angel and suggest the best product/color (if applicable) to make my skin look a little radiant, healthy as I don't know whether to add an illuminator to it or spray on a hydrating radiant mist (eg Tatcha dewy mist or Hourglass one) as an illuminating primer doesn't work under it. I like med-full coverage and I'm about your coloring when you haven't sunless tanned..what's your most favorite non-matte foundation and non-sunless tan color to date? Would be great for you to do a favorites foundation and a concealer review including the "winter" colors you use as I can never get the color right looking online and as so many of us struggle and can't buy one after the other or test so many out. Can always add the Bare Minerals as you do to darken for summer. Sending much love xoxox

I'm like you, the price is not my favorite, but I love the fact that it stays all day and you didn't have any creases! Yay! Yes, I'm going to try it. I love CDP base products and have most of them including The Foundation, Radiant Cream, Radiant Powder and the cushion one... to name a few, my go to concealer is also from CDP...both the original stick and the radiant corrector you used, so I will definitely have to try this new one. I'm usually O20 or O30 in CDP foundations and Beige in the concealers, do you think I should get O20 since it runs darker? Also, can you please try it with a mask and let me know if it wears better that other foundations like the Tom Ford, Guerlain, La Mer, Surratt, Dior etc since I have all of them... thx
I forgot how much I love this foundation, but I actually use the natural version not the matte. It lasts all day! I noticed it looks better as the day goes on and it melts more into the skin. At first application I usually don’t love it but like an hour later it’s perfection! Worth the steep price tag.

How is this cle de peau new foundation compared to the Chanel ultra le teint especially in terms of creasing, enlarge pores, and fading? Chanel perfection lumier is my everyday go to. But I would use ultra le teint in the evening as it's good coverage and last long but it breaks me out if I wear it during a whole day. I have combination skin and acne prone. I can't bear to use the oily version of cle de peau foundation products. They made me breakout. But I am eager to try this one after watching your video.

They are pretty similar. The CDP is a long wear foundation, it feels a bit more lightweight than Sublimage. I prefer a pump to the jar but both look really pretty and have skincare. Xx
I was so excited to see you are reviewing this foundation! Never tried Cle de Peau foundations but this one sounds so good! I just need to get through a couple that I have open first and then I want to try it! Also Belk has beauty discount on Dior! If you are interested in the new eyeshadows they are marked down to $49! I could not help myself and picked up one :)
Your makeup looked great and your hair. I agree with the others, the switch up is very nice. I thought of myself nuts for buying the Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultra Radiance Liquid Makeup at $105 ...what's $25 more dollars. Somehow I'm not intrigued to buy Cle de Peau nor Sisley. For me, I would be La Prairie before CdP or Si. In a couple of weeks, I'll be purchasing the Guerlain L'Essentiel foundation during the 15% off. I also have the NARs Radiant Longwear, Armani LSF. I still need to buy a Chanel foundaton. I think I'll start first with their CC Creme.
I cannot fully express how happy I am that the writing on the bottle is legible. My eyesight is bad but the microscopic writing on some of these bottles is ridiculous! It's an expiration date, people, not state secrets make it readable!

It’s a lovely foundation as are all available currently available CDP foundations. The new primer is nice too (Long Lasting Hydrating Veil).
Both are available at the Neiman-Marcus counter in Atlanta as well as the new moisturizer. See Lisa K. because she is the Cle De Peau SA and she is knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Regarding the ingredients they are in the box and on the website: The first few Ingredients are sunscreen but then ; Dimethicone, Water, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Glycerin, Trimethylsiloxysilocate, Butlylene Glycol, Talc ...And, in English they are basically sunscreen,silicones, and humectants. Talc is well...talc. I think Clé De Peau has created a beautiful foundation for every one with this creation. I have dry, dehydrated mature skin and it has has done well. That may change when the weather is less humid but it works well for now. I also wear many other Japanese brands in addition to a few Western brands like Chanel, La Prairie, Westman Atelier, and Burberry and I think the technology of the Japanese brands is just more advanced. Surratt is exceptional too and, I believe “Dew Drop” his last foundation was made in Japan. I think this is worth the investment. And, the shade range goes from 10 to 100.

Hi Nicole, You always look beautiful so it's hard to say if this foundation has enhanced your skin. Cle de Peau makes beautiful complexion products. I believe they are similar to Chantecaille and Sisley since they seem to use a lot of plant-based extracts in their skincare and foundations. Either way, they should have the ingredients listed since some people may need to see them due to allergies etc. If you go onto the 'Our Story' tab on their website they (kind of) explain what the light-empowering enhancer and skin-empowering illuminator ingredients are. I think those the selling points they use for their skincare and foundation products. I love this brands, they really do make beautiful products. The way you describe it, it may be pretty comparable to the Sisley phyto smth foundation, no? (Teint eclat, is it, the most recent one? That one seemed pretty full coverage to me. I only had a sample, and I just couldn’t define the finish... it sort of changed significantly after application and wear)

It sounds contradicting when it states it has a matte and radiant finish. Perhaps they mean matte but not flat?

I love foundations with treatment whether it b skincare or even better anti-aging skincare i wont waste my money anymore on foundations that dont add skincare, specialy since i have dry skin,the skincare element in a foundation is crucial 4me..i think i was watching 1 UA-cam channel where the reviewer was actually complaining about skincare in foundation being a trend & saying foundation dnt need skincare bc that's wat skincare is for, i disagree so strongly with that bc foundation is so close 2 ur skin & ur wearing it 4 so many hours a day im very greatful wen my skin is receiving skincare benefits wen im wearing it, especially anti-aging skincare benefits & cant believe any1 woud complain about that & cant subscribe 2 any1 giving such bad advice on a beauty channel.if skincare & anti-aging skincare in r foundations r a trend,i can only hope its a trend thats permanent

I think it would be beautiful on dry skin as long as you like a soft matte finish. If you prefer a dewy finish, the original radiant foundation would be better xx

It's funny because when you put it on I thought it was a PERFECT match for your skin.
I'm looking at the ingredients in this foundation and it has a lot of the ingredients a mineral makeup would contain.
I'm always concerned when both "radiant" and "matte" are used a descriptors.

Want you foundation to last beyond the expiration date....place it in the fridge...use it ...and place it back till the next use.
i think you have warm undertone...the price though is too much, we dont have it in Germany and i would not buy the products, the colors are just for pale skins. ...it must be their niche.

A lovely comprehensive review as always. It sounds great but I’m not going to pay that much for a foundation. I wear foundation 6-7 days a week, on work days I do my make up at 6 am and will still be at work around 6pm, so I want lasting power. Using a 30ml bottle of foundation on the daily I will finish the bottle in approximately 8 weeks. Am I prepared to spend $130++ every 6-8 weeks on this foundation. No, I have mortgage payments, bills and life expenses as well as saving for retirement and staying out of debt. Most women don’t earn as much as men and will have children to support, this pandemic has adversely affected women’s earnings and in western nations we are seeing the hollowing out of the middle class, meaning that while a few women may be financially comfortable over a lifetime, most women are going to struggle financially throughout their lives, especially as they get older. Wasting money on a consumable like this product in the long term isn’t going to help women. This product I’d for a small number of wealthy privileged women and their entitled children, it’s not for the masses and we really shouldn’t be wasting our money on it.
