I'm glad they showed Kahleah Copper apologizing, and I'm glad that Kahleah's teammates prevented anything from escalating in that moment earlier.
The only person who showed that part
@@SKILLZGAMING5Sucks when the media peddles race bait, doesn't it?
Both women handled it like role models.
Caitlin's so used to just shutting out and ignoring negative noise; it took her a few moments to realize Copper was actually being nice/thanking her! 😂🤣😂😁 Glad to see this nice moment between opposing players. 👍🏻
Well she was no doubt expecting her to say something nasty and pleasantly surprised it was a thank you or whatever was said…
The surprise and empathy on CC's face when she realized Kahleah was saying thank you warms my heart. Thanks for showing us this moment, I missed it.
A Great night for CC even though she was playing with a migraine. She got hugs from DT and BG before and after the game. DT gave her respect in the post presser. The fans stayed and gave CC a standing ovation when she walked off the court to the locker room. AND the team won as a team. They dug deep and pulled it together. AND CC was only 1 rebound away from A Triple Double and would have been first and only Rookie to get a triple double in WNBA History so far. Fingers crossed she reaches that milestone during the 20 games they have left.
I also think she broke a team record during the game also. Either assists or rebounds.
It had to be good for her Heart and Soul. 👏👏👏👏saw on another clip Cotton gave CC a hug too.
That’s not what “empathy” means.
Wait! There's a such thing as the WNBA?
@@JTD472 You do realize you can't get through to some of these folks, even if you're 100% right.

Props for CC for deflecting the ball! Props for Cloud for telling Copper what CC did! Props for Copper for apologising after she realised what had happened! This is sportsmanship!
Props to this comment.

I understand the opposing player's initial reaction AND respect her talking to Clark after getting the heads up from her teammates.
Facts I thought she was finna fye shawty too 😂😂
For real. From her POV it was weird but she had no idea Clark was doing her a favor. Just a misunderstanding and when she realized it she apologized.

Thank you for showing us this. Good stuff all around.
This is another thing that Caitlin brings to WNBA- Sportsmanship. Competitive yes. Physical yes. Cheap shots and trash talk No. Both NBA and WNBA should be taking notes. This is what will bring literally millions of fans to WNBA.
Exactly what I've always said, wit CC, graciousness is what draws people to her. There are people who hit stardom at that young age yet their obnoxious attitude drives people away from them. And that's what I've been preaching to AR, I pray she gets a good mentor/advisor - AR is good but she needs to stop comparison with others, rather compare yourself against yourself in the past, have good attitude, people will literally flock to you... Messi and CR7 in the soccer world both have their fans, the world is big enough for all to shine
The NBA absolutely doesn't need to take notes from the WNBA or Caitlin "The GOAT" Clark.
I'm not really a great fan of basketball until CC, I prefer soccer. CC entrance into WNBA, the hype and everything pulled me in to see what's going on and I'm gradually developing a flare for the sport. I now know a lot of the WNBA stars than even the current NBA stars now. My point is, people need to understand at every point in life, 1 person leads and open the doors for others, we're over 7 billion in the world, yet we aren't struggling for oxygen...there's enough to go round
Trash talk 100% she does, just like Brady she does just as good. When you compete like she does you talk smack and she can back it up. Thing is she leaves it on the court and its between plays, not while your trying to do a layup as she rips your head off trying to "block" it. Thats what these girls have been doing to her though.
Trash talk is fine if you can back it up woithout cheap shots(see Larry Bird)
I was impressed by the sportmanship of Taurasi and Griner. So much trash talk in the media and some CC fans around but nothing but class from them on the court. Respect.
Agreed. Also - I’d love to see a super team with Griner+Aja+Caitlin.
It's about time Caitlin is being respected!!! Hats off to Phoenix for being respectful!!! Lets see if other teams get the message!!!
Aside from the one Chennedy Carter incident, everyone else has been respectful. All the other stuff it just pure, physical basketball. This notion that she is being disrespected is "made up" by those who want to get clicks or attention. Carter had some mental issues in the past and she has worked to get back in the league. No one else has said or done anything disrespectful other than simple competitive play, which Clark does, as well.
Urm..really? @@kimlinden2280
I was wondering what that was. The tv cast cut away quickly after.
Thanks for update!
And that's why we love her.
She is one of a kind.
Is nice to see the other player saying something about it and talking to C.C.
Three of the hardest things for people to do:
1) Say, "I need help",
2) Say, "I love you",
3) Say, "I apologize for my wrong".
Not sure about #1 & 2 being in that category because generally speaking, it’s easier for women to ask for help and express affection …but #3…now that’s a tough one for anybody regardless of their gender. 😁
I dunno where "I farted" is on the list.
But I just farted.
That's real sportsmanship
Not enough of this in sports 🏆
The WNBA has, actually, a ton of sportsmanship, far more than the NBA. Every game, you see opposing players helping players on the other team get up from the ground. I even saw, last season, a player stop to help an opponent up in the back court while play was still going on and the rest of the teams had gone to the other half of the court. You'd never see that in an NBA game, with play being still live. In other words, she helped her opponent which meant her opponent could more easily get up court to play defense.
Caitlin won some new friends in the game
No, they are never your friend.
Nice to see. I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out. If only the league would realize that if they would act this way more people would be drawn to their sport.
They do act this way all the time. Are you a new fan? The female players help their opponents up off the court all the time, sometimes even when the play is still active.
Great reporting, bud. You'll never see this on ESPN
kind of amazing how cordial the phoenix players were toward caitlin.
Why are you surprised? They are not disrespectful players. And, there was zero wrong with Taurasi saying, before the season started, that a rookie would have an adjustment playing with pros compared to college. Clark even agrees with what Taurasi said. It's the truth for every rookie.
@@kimlinden2280 I'm surprised because Caitlin has been taking abuse all season long. And Taurasi said zero complimentary about Caitlin, even said she wasn't the best player in college basketball, and you could clearly see she was suffering from a case of envy while Caitlin was getting all that attention in college.
@@driger888What abuse has she been taking? Why should Taurasi have to stroke Clark's ego? She's not from the era of everyone being buddy buddy with who they compete against. That's the problem y'all want these women to kiss Clark when they don't,they're called jealous
@@354alldaynot from the era of being buddy-buddy? My man, she’s been in the league since 2004, it’s not like she was on the Bad Boy Pistons-the NBA has been very friendly since Malice at the Palace, there is no logical reason for Taurasi not to be friendly other than that she doesn’t like a rookie having more clout than her.
@@354allday taurasi disrespected clark saying she played against 18 yo's and would not draft her #1. Clark has been taking physical and verbal abuse on the courts all season long, while the referees look the other way. On average Indiana's opponents get five more free throws per game.
The media didn't show that part.
I saw it live on tv
Yeah they did
What media were you watching?
Lol how the hell did he get this footage then?
Yes they did. I saw it.
Shows CC in a very good light.
Shows them both in a good light.
So, you missed the part where both players were equally good? It's understandable that Copper didn't initially know why Clark was reaching over her shoulder. People act like Clark is an angel on the court. She's fierce as well. Trash talks. Pushes off. Got a T for saying something inappropriate to a ref. Yeah, she comes across as a genuinely good person. Just like 99% of the players in the league, as well. And, I have been going to games for many years.
I now have another WNBA player I like in Kahleah Copper. I appreciate her intensity, but I absolutely love her decency shown here.
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR : Caitlin Clark she leads the WNBA in Assist with ( 138 and 7.0 APG ) Also she leads in 3 pointers made ( 56 ) my personal favorite is her passing and vision on the court which is Excellent. Also Caitlin just beat 3 olympians as a rookie. but for some reason she's not qualified for the usa team. CC is a TRUE TEAM LEADER..
If Indiana doesn't finish in front of Chicago in the standings she has no chance to win ROY. They already want to give it to evil angel for obvious reasons and she's a super productive rookie in terms of rebounding and double-doubles. But Caitlin plays on the better team I think and I have a more favorable schedule the second half than they did the first half so they need to go 12 and 8 in the second half finish 500 that might be in front of Chicago. But that's the only way Clark will win rookie of the Year. I mean Angel shot 4 for 16 yesterday had 10 points and accounts as a double double. And for most of the season she was shooting like 35% from the floor and 90% of her attempts are inside 5 ft.
A lot of her rebounds are her own misses 😂
Her Passing is fun to watch, when is the next game?
@@rsb512 Caitlin has a lock as ROY unless she gets hurt. Reece is not that close.
@@andyparks6120 It is fun to watch. She might want to work on her turnovers tho.

Does that sound like Sorry I misjudged you and thanks for looking out for me?
anyone else notice CC always focused and "in the zone" when in court?
The players all seem to hate her but she is likely going to be responsible for them all being paid more soon.
That's bogus. None of the players hate her. That's just made up BS by click-bait low level bloggers that want clicks or new fans that have never watched a WNBA game before this year. No one hates her. You can't name one single hateful comment. And, one player out of 144 had the flagrant 1 foul. Don't buy into the fake stuff. These women are just playing competitive basketball. I don't get the over-reaction. We see hard fouls in the NBA, many flagrant 1 and flagrant 2's in the NBA. But, when it happens in the WNBA and involves Clark, some fans say "oh no, the ladies aren't being sweet enough". Seriously, it's a competitive sport and Clark dishes out trash talk and push offs and got a T for saying something to a ref. Tell me, what specific facts are you basing this "the players all seem to hate her" on? Can you name specific comments and events other than: 1. Carter shove

It makes me feel a lot of pride in these clips of opponents showing class to one another after seeing so many videos of the exact opposite occurring so frequently where CC is involved.
CC leads the league in class and integrity.
995 of the players have class and integrity. Only new fans think it's something new with Clark. I've followed and attended games for many, many years. There is a lot of terrific women and role models in this league. Clark, also, does her share of competitive stuff, such as trash talking, pushing off, getting a T for saying inappropriate words to a ref. She's not an angel. You must not know of many players if you think that there aren't women with equal class and integrity.
@@kimlinden2280 you are 100% correct, I don't know many players. I never had any interest in the WNBA until CC came along. Anytime prior if I would happen across a game it was all sloppy play and fighting.

I challenge you to come up with two. And, the one flagrant 1 foul? Come on. The over-reaction to that one incident is insane. You see Flagrant 1's and 2's far more in the NBA.
@@Dr.gobshite The vets have zero hate towards her. That is just made up stuff by people wanting to stir controversy. Taurasi saying that rookies will have a learning curve is NOT hateful.
Emotional and quick to violence. Standard behavior.
Respect to the woman putting people on your seats.
She has done that. But, new fans don't seem to be aware that some teams were filling 11,000 and 12,000 seat stadiums last year. And, Storm and Liberty had 17,000 at some games that last 2 years. Many people dont' seem to know that attendance was trending up the last 2 years. And, Clark added to that.
Sure
@@kimlinden2280 attendance was NOT even close to when Catilin plays, 4 of the biggest crowds in 20 years are fever games this year. More people came to their last regular season game then the championship game last year.
THIS is what is gonna get the masses to watch more WNBA games. Sportsmanship. Not the stuff that Chicago Sky players were doing.
One Sky player did one inappropriate action, which was only a flagrant 1. Too much over-reaction to that. I womder if fans that make a huge deal of that one bump have ever watched an NBA game. You see far more Flagrant 1 and Flagrant 2 fouls in the NBA than in the WNBA. Did people stop watching the Warriors because Draymond crosses the line at times? Did people stop watching the Nuggets because Jokic got ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul? But, when a female does a Flagrant 1 foul, people act like the player should be suspended for the season. It's basketball, which has Flagrant 1 and 2 fouls in the rules BECAUSE they happen once in awhile. After the Carter incident, Clark even spoke out in praise of Carter and said she thought Carter should win 6th Woman of the Year. Why don't Clark fans follow Clark's lead on the topic? Reece, after Alyssa Thomas had the Flagrant 2 foul on her, even said she was glad that Thomas came at her hard. That it was helping her. These players have the right attitude. Some fans have over-reacted.
