Children of the Damned is a song by Iron Maiden, maybe he's getting the title confused with that.
I only recently found out it was about Brenda!! I've always rocked to this song.. still love it even with the dark meaning behind it!
In my opinion, it's one of the best pop songs ever made.
The piano on this is rather tasty.
in 1979 this was a dark conversation. In 2020 it's casual talk.

First off. Bob Geldof didn't make her famous.. she did that all herself. The other point is that this song is timeless. Unfortunately. I mean, decades into the future we had more school shootings.. but the song itself really captures the angst of I think everyone, especially now.. how fucked up our society is, how depressed folks are.. how Mondays DO suck.. how work SUCKS how school SUCKS.. it all SUCKS and while most of us won't murder innocent folks.. we need to start addressing the mental health issues in our society cause we are doing something majorly wrong.
I thought everyone knew this….Brenda Ann Spencer. When asked why she was shooting that school she said “I don’t like Mondays”
Was at the school when it happened and I used to hate this song growing up. What is odd is as a teen I then watched the wall and loved this persons acting. Never connected the two until much later.
When they sang it at live aid, you could tell the passion that he had for the story, especially at the end when he yelled. Gave me goosebumps
It's a really sad reflection of society that not only is this song now much more well known than the mass shooting itself, but most people tend to not realise what this song is even really about.

One of my favorite songs of all time. The piano in the beginning and in the song makes the song.
I saw them,The Boom town rats play this live at the Portsmouth Guildhall on a Monday when this was No 1 in the UK charts,Was and still to this day my most memorable gig I've ever been to.
Actually, there are two separate films - "Village of the Damned", based on John Wyndham's story "The Midwich Cuckoos" and a sequel, "Children of the Damned", so they are talking about two different films without realising it.
