Very cool!!! I really like the art deco transformations. The richness of color and shapes, created by what seems to almost be a lost art in affordable furniture.
Fabulous result! The handles are genius! Please, please do a tutorial on using lacquer powders for touch-ups- I’m always looking for better techniques for this type of repair.
You did a wonderful job saving this piece from the landfill, and it looks beautiful. I personally would have liked to see more of the original features kept, but excellent work.
Beautiful set you did a wonderful job making a Deco set of nightstands or side tables. And yes, I would like to see more about the lacquer grain painting please.
I love these, i love your research about the pieces. Keep them coming, you are going to go big my friend. I need to find that better niche for myself, it took me 2 years to get to 1.4 k subs, you have accomplished that in under 2 months. You make your pieces fabulous and highly desirable!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous work! I would definitely like a more detailed video about the lacquer inpainting. I’m thinking about buying the Mohawk Blendall sticks though they’re a bit of a splurge. One note: no respirator masks?????? Fine dust and lacquer are definitely NOT things you want in your lungs. Please protect your health
I love Donald Deskey! Toured Radio City Music Hall about 18 years ago. I've always thought art deco was so elegant, unlike "midcentury modern". Geez, I was wondering how you were going to color in the Bondo, but turned out gorgeous. Vanities just aren't wanted these days, so a great conversion to nightstands. Would have loved to see how you colored in the woodgrain and not just the base color. I don't see how refinishers can get along without using a proper spray rig. Get you all set up for about $400 with an air compressor and gun.

just wow❤
So Inspiring! It was a damaged piece and you transformed it into MODERN and AWESOME nightstands! The handles are gorgeous!
Thanks so much. The handles were hard work!
Stunning! (I also appreciate the Laurel & Hardy!) Beautiful work and information about the designer as well. 😀

Amazing - I haven't seen Radio City in person. We've considered a spray gun, and will revisit the idea, thanks!
@@ArtDecoFurniture I use a $17 spray gun from Harbor Freight and replace it whenever it stops functioning properly, which is every 6 months to a year.
I was last in Radio City around 1958. I’ve always loved art deco. Great result.
Que lástima que Ud. no haya usado las manillas o tiradores originales..
@@teresafierro1789 we will use them on a future project! : )
looked better unrestored rather than that garish result

Well, whether or not you like something is very subjective. No need to be a troll about it though.
Somebody needs to google "art deco". 😉

Thank you! Yes, we are working on a video focused on lacquer powders right now. … And good reminder about masks. We need to do better with that!
@ we all forget! Just keep in mind people will mimic what you do here, and emphasizing safety is good for all. Keep up the great work!
