A large crowd gathered at Waikari Marae, Tauranga to bid farewell to a prominent Mongrel Mob member. However, the significant police presence at the funeral, including a helicopter flying overhead, has been criticised by locals and those steeped in tikanga Māori for being culturally insensitive.
