We put wine in cocktails! (they were actually pretty good)

Here are 5 of our favorite wine cocktails, let us know which your favorite one is!

0:17 New York Sour
1:37 French 75
2:30 Kalimotxo
3:17 1870 Sour
4:30 Devil's Margarita
New York Sour:
2oz whiskey
1oz lemon juice
3/4oz simple syrup
1 egg white
Red wine to top
Dry shake whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white for 60 seconds. Add ice, shake again for 30 seconds and strain into tumbler. Float red wine on top. Enjoy!
French 75
1oz gin
1/2oz lemon juice
1/2oz simple syrup
3oz champagne
Shake gin, lemon juice and simple syrup. Strain into champagne glass. Top with champagne and enjoy!
Kalimotxo
1/2 cup cola
1/2 cup wine
lemon slice for garnish
Combine cola and wine in a glass with ice. Stir gently and top with lemon garnish. Enjoy!
1870 Sour
2oz bourbon
1oz lemon juice
3/4oz maple syrup
1 egg white
Spoonful of blueberry jam
1 oz red wine
Dry shake bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup, egg white and jam for 60 seconds. Add ice and shake for another 30 seconds. Strain into wine glass and layer red wine on top. Enjoy!
Devil's Margarita
1 1/2oz blanco tequila
1oz lime juice
3/4oz simple syrup
1/2oz Cointreau
1/2oz red wine
Shake tequila, lime juice, simple syrup and cointreau. Strain into tumbler with ice. Layer red wine on top. Enjoy!

French 75 is so delicious and refreshing. However, a New York Sour is one of my favorite drinks ever. It inspired a new drink I started making…bourbon sidecar topped with wine. It doesn’t separate the same as sours but it is so so good. Give it a try!
