I've been watching you for I'd say about over 2 years now, and I'm just now turning 21 in like 10 hours. So I'm well prepared to start my own home bar when I get the fundage. Thank you for inspiring me and everyone else and keep being you!
Thanks for another great video. I've bartended for awhile and I'm always thrilled to watch your videos. Bartenders lacking the inflated ego with a friendly disposition are the king of the game.
i like finishing off the vermouth both sweet and dry with just cold flavored seltzer. in fact, right now I am sipping on a roughly 50/50 sweet vermouth and grape waterloo, both cold out of the fridge.
I just really enjoy all your videos. I learned a lot from you. I was just thinking to learn more about sweet vermouth cocktails. And all your cocktails what you just show us it looks like very good. I can't wait to try them. All the best ad please just make more and more videos. Thank you 😊 😊 😊
i actually do have a bottle of sweet vermouth that has been in there for a couple months so this should be the perfect video kinda funny how that works out
My local whiskey bar has a cocktail called the Kentucky orange flower! It is now my favorite drink to make at home. Bourbon, vermouth, Elderflower, orange bitters, angostura bitters, orange peel, in Rocks glass.
Just tried the Swet Vermouth and Soda, and OMG it was wonderful. Got it along with some Campari to try making a Negroni for myswlf and an Americano for the wife who does not drink Gin. Neither of us have the taste for the Campari, although after I adjusted the ratios decreasing the Campari I was able to make a Negroni that fit my pallet. However the wife was convinced that both the Sweet Vermouth and Campari were terrible. I tried to tell her it was probably the Campari that she didn't like but she would not believe me until I handed her the Sweet Vermouth and Soda and she took a sip and loved it. She din;t believe me whenI told her what it was. Thanks for the Tips, Tricks, and Recipes.
thank you my friend i made the bijou because its what i had and i didnt know it was a real cocktail lol i also made the simple soda one just to try it really good video
Guilty of being in the Manhattan rut. Played with it a lot (adding a bit of dry vermouth or a couple kinds of bitters). Then I learned about the Black Manhattan (maybe on this channel) and I never looked back. Then I got all the makings for a proper Singapore Sling and ended up with a bottle of Cherry Heering. Stumbled on something called a "Cherry Old Fashioned" which is essentially a Manhattan with the Heering replacing the Vermouth. So... I definitely need some other uses for the Sweet Vermouth. Some of these sound amazing and I will try them. And as another commenter pointed out,, on the rocks with a twist is a great aperitif. Ubiquitous in South America--often sipped sitting outdoors under a Cinzano umbrella. Thanks for these among many great recipes on this channel.
I usually get the mini bottle of Martini & Rossi when I buy my vermouth. But just the other day I was feeling adventurous and let the guy at the liquor store talk me into a 750ml bottle of Dolin Rouge. Anders coming up clutch once again. Keep up the great work!
I'm definitely a manhattan man, but lately the Jean Harlow (1.5 oz light rum, 1.5 oz sweet vermouth, lemon twist, optional dash of orange bitters) has been on deck. Couldn't be easier, and it's one of those drinks that's so tasty you can't figure out how it went out of style.
Oh it's me again! Thank you so much Anders! I have just the sweet vermouth dilemma where it is indispensable in several cocktails but it can sit in the fridge in the rest of time. Same situation with dry vermouth! Please a dry vermouth version of this video!
I had an opened bottle of sweet vermouth hanging out in my garage for five years. Used it a few weeks ago to make an Americano. It was excellent. Not so sure about mandatory refrigeration.
Great cocktails, will certainly try them. Another drink I like to make is a combination of a Negroni and Campari Tonic. 1 part Campari, 1 part sweet vermouth, 3 parts Tonic. A great low-alcohol summer drink. Or use 1:1:1 ratio like the Negroni, that also works really well, I think.
Now I know I'm a proper Anders fan. All of these drinks (except the "& soda") are already in my repertoire... all because of YOU, Anders. And they are great.
My ears perked up when I realized I had all the ingredients for a Queen’s Park Hotel Super Cocktail. Wasn’t sure about that flavor combination, but- damn. This is a new favorite. Thank you.
Indeed i do! Its been in the fridge for some time(months propably). Thanks lots Anders! You have become my favorite cocktail youtube channel and person
Your bijou became my favourite recipe since the OG video, as well as the real reason I have sweet vermouth throughout the year in my fridge. This video simply expands on the fact that the red one beats the others with versatility.
To me, nothing beats the Bobby Burns when I want to switch up the sweet vermouth drinks... just different enough from a Manhattan to really keep it interesting. Very like the La Louisiane, the herbal liqueur adds complexity. Whether you use Benedictine or Drambuie, the extra smokiness from the scotch goes well with the herbal notes of the liqueur. I actually like a spritz of absinthe in the glass in this as well.
I needed this video! Immediately popped home and poured from my massive bottle the vermouth and soda. Delightful! And very cola-esque! Cheers and thanks! 🥂
Wow, Anders ... Thank you so much for this list of drinks in which sweet vermouth has the starring role. This video is destined for a permanent bookmark! Liquor stores everywhere will notice an uptick in vermouth sales because of you. 😄
The Martinez! Thanks to you I know and love this drink. Always a treat anytime of year, and experimenting with the gin makes it really fun and interesting.
Could you make a reference video with bottles we could find in Canada? Some (many) of the bottles I try to experiment with variants of things I can find in BC Liquor Stores but the selection is tiny and I dont have much to compare, so knowing good bottles that we can find here for reasonable prices, that would be MAGICAL! Btw, thank you for all the videos :)
Great video! Vermouth was never a problem bc we always had Spanish vermouth on the fridge (while living in Spain heh) and it was just a classic to drink on the rocks. It was also the drink to go for most of my Italian friends on spring nights, some good Spanish vermouth on the rocks and good olives
This is just bringing back memories of passing a bottle of vermouth around with my friends, drinking it straight, finishing a litre in one night. Students are funny things.
Queens Park Hotel Super Cocktail is now on the menu for tonight, since I have all the ingredients for it. VERY excited to give this a go! Same with the vermouth and soda!
I've been on the fence about buying a bottle of sweet vermouth, because I don't know what it tastes like/if I'll like it…but the vermouth and soda definitely has my attention!
Anders, I went to Ward Eight recently. The gentleman there made me an incredible Baton Rouge. It was so smooth and tasty. I have been failing hard trying to recreate it… please show us how it’s done. Thanks!
Love this eps…but it’s brings up our fav question again…what does Anders do with all these cocktails when he’s done shooting? Drink them by himself? He & Az have a blow out night once a week? Invite the neighbors over for drinks & key party?? Inquiring minds want to know…
I often have vermouth and soda. It's a nice low-abv drink I can have while cooking. I use dry vermouth though, I'll try sweet now. Good idea! Update: it is almost like a cola. That's neat! thanks for this.
Great vid - I love to watch this stuff even though I don't have the right ingredients to try most of these. I AM a big Manhattan fan though, so I buy a 375 of sweet vermouth now and then and need alternatives to use it up. I pair it with cognac for French Manhattans, Saratogas, and the like.
oh wow, just made the vermouth and soda...wow, right on about being like a rich coke...stupid good and stupid simple. thanks for another great video Anders🤙
I love this video! Delicious drinks! What about the opposite? We're starting to suspect that my wife has a red wine allergy, so we're looking for bourbon cocktails without vermouth, like the Black Manhattan. Cheers!
I know this is a month after the video came out but this was a useful one. Thanks a lot. Looking at your curiada list, though, I do wonder what the difference is between all the orange-based things and when you would use one over the other (Cointreau, Triple-sec, Curacao, Orange bitters).
great video, I just wish you could have done some sweet vermouth cocktails that you haven't done on the channel before. But these compilation videos are a great idea for fortified wines like vermouth, sherries and Lillet blanc etc. so that people aren't scrambling all over UA-cam to see what cocktails to make if they are trying to polish off a bottle of vermouth lol. One of my favourite sweet vermouth cocktails recently was the breakfast martini!
You're truly the best!! Thanks again for another great video. I have a bottle of St. Germaine I bought because it looked cool and have no idea what to make with it. Hint hint lol.
Lacking some of the ingredients for the other suggestions, I tried a vermouth and soda (Just Dolin and homemade seltzer, not sodastream). Not bad, but I think I'll go back to what I started this cocktail hour with, a Rolls Royce.
La Louisiane sounds delicious for this fall. But I'll be honest here...it's hard for me to pass up just using any open bottle for negronis. I'll need to push out of my wheelhouse!
Do you have a bottle of vermouth hanging out in your fridge?
Anders, love the studio. I emailed you!
A bottle of sweet vermouth and dry vermouth and now I have some new uses for the sweet. Thanks!
Yes. And not just one. You are my enabler
Glad you call out drinking sweet Vermouth neat. I recall Bert Cooper's patrician sister in Mad Men ordering a sweet Vermouth with her lunch. Fabulous
smokey Manhattans for years to come....
I've been watching you for I'd say about over 2 years now, and I'm just now turning 21 in like 10 hours. So I'm well prepared to start my own home bar when I get the fundage. Thank you for inspiring me and everyone else and keep being you!
Happy birthday, Jeremiah!! 🍾 Thanks for being here for so long!
Happy birthday! Might be time to revisit his “Build-a-bar” videos :)
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday! Got a Venmo? Willing to support the first cocktail!
Happy birthday and it's sad that over there you can go to war at 18 but not have a drink, but hey, you made it! Enjoy it!!! :)
Welcome back Anders, it's friends!
👌🏼
Haha nice!!!
😂😂
Thanks for another great video. I've bartended for awhile and I'm always thrilled to watch your videos. Bartenders lacking the inflated ego with a friendly disposition are the king of the game.
Recently in Barcelona and at the most Amazing Tapas bar and had their house Vermouth and I am hooked. So this selection is my bag!!
I like sweet vermouth & soda as well, but I add a little lemon juice and orange bitters.. yum!
Vermouth and soda is my go to summer drink! My favorite way to use up a bottle. Cheers!
Vermouth delicious, in a cocktail, over a block of ice, straight up. Lovely. Del professore is my fav. Dolin and 78 deg are awesome too.
Whoo Hoo for Trinidad 🇹🇹
The Queen’s Park Swizzle was also born at the Queen’s Park Hotel which is now the BP office.
i like finishing off the vermouth both sweet and dry with just cold flavored seltzer. in fact, right now I am sipping on a roughly 50/50 sweet vermouth and grape waterloo, both cold out of the fridge.
Vermouth and soda its a classic in Argentina, we put a lemon wheel inside, its great with a Carpano!, Cheers!
Cocktails I can ask in a bar... how delightful. Thanks.
I just really enjoy all your videos.
I learned a lot from you.
I was just thinking to learn more about sweet vermouth cocktails.
And all your cocktails what you just show us it looks like very good. I can't wait to try them.
All the best ad please just make more and more videos.
Thank you 😊 😊 😊
Cheers to you Linda! Thank you!
Not bring a big Vermouth drinker, I stumbled on the Martinez this summer - and it opened my eyes! I'm going to try the others for sure.
i actually do have a bottle of sweet vermouth that has been in there for a couple months so this should be the perfect video
kinda funny how that works out

Now you'll get the most out of that bottle! Cheers!
I appreciate that the RUM sign remains in the background. I like that sign (and I like rum!).
Can’t wait to try La Louisiane. It’s very close to a Rolls Royce, sans absinthe, and my clear favorite cocktail.
Dude your channel is such a huge benefit to me. I’ve seen so many of your videos, and you make them so easy to consume! Just like your cocktails!
I added some Mr Black to the vermouth and soda. If you ever had a turbo coke, chilled espresso and Mexican coke, you won’t be disappointed.
Oh it's me again! Thank you so much Anders! I have just the sweet vermouth dilemma where it is indispensable in several cocktails but it can sit in the fridge in the rest of time. Same situation with dry vermouth! Please a dry vermouth version of this video!
To use my sweet vermouth when I was out of rye, I tried with brandy, vermouth and cointreau. Mix and express orange oil. Loved it
Tried the la Louisiana , you are right, very nice
Great 'Additions'...Anders! Really Enjoyed! Your Canadian Bartender!.....
I had an opened bottle of sweet vermouth hanging out in my garage for five years. Used it a few weeks ago to make an Americano. It was excellent. Not so sure about mandatory refrigeration.
Great idea for an episode! Thanks!

Made a vermouth and soda immediately after watching this… That’s a new favourite. Added a slice of blood orange and absolutely like a rich cola.
My ears perked up when I realized I had all the ingredients for a Queen’s Park Hotel Super Cocktail.
Wasn’t sure about that flavor combination, but- damn. This is a new favorite. Thank you.
I’m always impressed with Anders’ knowledge on cocktails and the different spirits!
Cheers to you Edward!
Salute Anders!!!
Indeed i do! Its been in the fridge for some time(months propably). Thanks lots Anders! You have become my favorite cocktail youtube channel and person
Thank you so much!
Where I live it's very common to ask for a vermouth mixed with beer as an appetizer or just an afternoon drink
The La Louisiane entered my regular rotation the first time I made it. Love it.
Your videos are an absolute delight. Can't wait to try making all of these. Cheers!
Your bijou became my favourite recipe since the OG video, as well as the real reason I have sweet vermouth throughout the year in my fridge. This video simply expands on the fact that the red one beats the others with versatility.

I needed this video! Immediately popped home and poured from my massive bottle the vermouth and soda. Delightful! And very cola-esque! Cheers and thanks! 🥂
Cheers Brian!
Trying these! I never can use all the vermouth of either variety! Thx Anders…. Try doing one of these for dry vermouth too, please.
Wow, Anders ... Thank you so much for this list of drinks in which sweet vermouth has the starring role. This video is destined for a permanent bookmark! Liquor stores everywhere will notice an uptick in vermouth sales because of you. 😄

I like using it in a Martinez or La Louisiane, especially the Martinez because it has turned into one of my favorites.
Almost put the Martinez on this list! Such a good drink.
@@AndersErickson I had it with a chocolate cake and it just exploded in flavor.
That sweet vermouth and soda is an absolute banger.
I like vermouth americanos, and vermouth with some bitters and lemon wheel twisted into the drink. I also like it straight up.

God this is just the best channel man
Queens Park Hotel Super Cocktail is now on the menu for tonight, since I have all the ingredients for it. VERY excited to give this a go! Same with the vermouth and soda!
I love a Milano e Torino (Negroni without gin) or Americano (same, but with club soda) when I want a low abv drink
I've been on the fence about buying a bottle of sweet vermouth, because I don't know what it tastes like/if I'll like it…but the vermouth and soda definitely has my attention!
My favorite vermouth cocktail is 60 ml Sweet vermouth, 10 ml simpel syrup, 22,5 ml lemon juice and tonic. supper tasty:)
Anders, I went to Ward Eight recently. The gentleman there made me an incredible Baton Rouge. It was so smooth and tasty. I have been failing hard trying to recreate it… please show us how it’s done. Thanks!

Haha Az and I fully enjoyed all of these!
I have been thinking of the sweet vermouth in my fridge thank u anders
Just imported a case of 6 1000ml bottles of carpano antica…. This video couldn’t have came at a better time
That'll be a lot of cocktails 😂
So good! Would love to have a companion piece for dry vermouth!
The agincourt cocktail with sweet vermouth is just amazing, you should try it !
I often have vermouth and soda. It's a nice low-abv drink I can have while cooking. I use dry vermouth though, I'll try sweet now. Good idea! Update: it is almost like a cola. That's neat! thanks for this.
I enjoy making a Boulevardier with mine!
We need one for dry vermouth! That is way harder to use up
Great vid - I love to watch this stuff even though I don't have the right ingredients to try most of these. I AM a big Manhattan fan though, so I buy a 375 of sweet vermouth now and then and need alternatives to use it up. I pair it with cognac for French Manhattans, Saratogas, and the like.
All great options! Cheers Paul!
oh wow, just made the vermouth and soda...wow, right on about being like a rich coke...stupid good and stupid simple. thanks for another great video Anders🤙
I was excited for this one, but then realized I don't have 1-2 ingredients for every recipe....
TO THE STOREEE
Well made sir

TO THE BAR! 🥃 It’s Friday! Thank you for another one Anders!
And you too Az!
Cheers! Enjoy the weekend! 🥃
@@AndersErickson I plan to! Going to see The Tedeschi Trucks Band tomorrow evening. Should be a great time.

Are you gonna do the same with dry vermouth? ^^
Always great videos thank you Anders!
Sweet vermouth and grapefruit soda.
Sundays in Madrid sweet vermouth on ice with a slice of orange
You're truly the best!! Thanks again for another great video. I have a bottle of St. Germaine I bought because it looked cool and have no idea what to make with it. Hint hint lol.
Really appreciate this video. Wish there was a way to buy some of the liqueurs in smaller quantities. Any suggestions?
I just discovered the Left Hand! A Boulevardier with chocolate bitters - what could be better?
Saratoga! Best Sweet Vermouth cocktail.
Man O War cocktail is another nice bourbon based one.
Think i'm gonna make a BIJOU tonight!
Adonis = Figaro at Bramble in Edinburgh. Blissful
I like the americano for a sweet vermouth
Could you please have a screen where you have the full recipe after you say each of the ingredients
"4 dashes Ango" -The cowboy bartender
Lacking some of the ingredients for the other suggestions, I tried a vermouth and soda (Just Dolin and homemade seltzer, not sodastream). Not bad, but I think I'll go back to what I started this cocktail hour with, a Rolls Royce.
I do have a bottle of vermouth in my fridge... but I don't remember how old it is! 🤦♂ The Adonis looks delicious!
Honestly a soda bottle is the number one thing to get as "home bar gear".
Cocchi is my favorite. I also love using Cocchi Americano in place of Lillet Blanc in a Vesper.
I need so many things including vermouth in my collection 😪
Man I wish I could get green chartreuse
La Louisiane sounds delicious for this fall. But I'll be honest here...it's hard for me to pass up just using any open bottle for negronis. I'll need to push out of my wheelhouse!
Pretty sure mines now become a fortified port…haha
Great video, Thanks Anders!
The Bijou looks really nice, however, Chartreuse is unobtainable--green or yellow. Can you recommend a substitute?
