Another start to another year. Nice hunt
Thanks David
Great. I went out today as well, the 1st for '24. .86 and 2 bottle caps. Beaches are clean here in Pensacola. Can't even find trash. Nice vid, great finds.
Thanks CZ! And happy new year to ya!
John, disregard what I said about always running in beach mode 2 with the 900. Only use beach mode 2 if you are going to submerge the detector. Also don’t use automatic ground balance with the 900. Do it manually . The reason being gold is a low conductor , and when the machine is trying to automatically ground balance all the time it will often mask 14 and 18 it gold . Since gold is a low conductor to the machine you will find targets that ring up 0 through 4 will often be 14kt and 18kt gold. Also I’m finding targets with the smaller coil better than the larger coil. I think it also has to do with the fact I slow down with the smaller coil and are more thorough with the smaller coil. It appears to give a little more depth as well. I run my sensitivity as high as I can get away with. But every beach can be different on mineral content.
Ohh good point, i will start manually ground balancing. Thanks for the tip much appreciated. Still learning the nox 900. I mainly use beach 1, used beach 2 today as i was in the water for a bit.
I found a thin ring just like that and rang up as a 1 also. Turned out to be gold.
Ya i gotta test it, it might be.
A great way to start off the New Year congratulations I have surgery tomorrow a arrow fell on my hand and cut the middle finger tendon lol
Oh no! Bill i wish you a fast recovery. You'll be swinging again in no time!
@@SOFLOTreasureFinds thank you I appreciate it
New sub here. I live in the Panhandle & hunt our beaches here. Great start to the new year. Just a curiosity question, why don't you leave the pocket unzipped all the time that you put your coins in vs unzipping it & zipping it for every find? That would personally drive me nuts lol
If i bend over things will drop out. Makes me too nervous to leave it open. Thanks for the sub and the support Gatorchick!
Acid test the big one , sometimes when they resize you can lose the stamp.
Def going to 100% thanks Trash.
What mic are you guys using for your cams?
This is the wind muff: Ruittos 5 Packs Lavalier... www.amazon.com/dp/B07BQ2LZDX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is the mic: Cubilux USB C Microphone, Type C... www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZQB2VF3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Do your water shoes keep out the sand? If so can you send a link please?
They do not unfortunately. Only the higher ankle boots do.
Could be a purple sapphire in that 18k. Might want to get it checked
I saw that, i am gonna have a jeweler take a look. Thanks for watching and the comment.
new subscriber ❤
Thanks my man welcome!!
15 16 on the 900 that is mostly like 10k as that is what mine rings on 10k gold
It was 18k this time 😉
@SOFLOTreasureFinds so I saw. 15 16 can be great numbers but more often they are not.
In the water are you using Beach 2?
I was indeed yes. Beach 1 i use often too by the wet as it is more sensitive, BUT you will need to deal with some chatter. Run both modes at 21 sensitivity. 5 recovery, 4 iron bias.
Thanks, I'l try to remember that. @SOFLOTreasureFinds
Also try running DP on beach mode 1 with your settings .I find 14 kt and 18kt gold from 0 to 4 on the target ID.@@SOFLOTreasureFinds I’ve also found that a manticore does much better with the the smaller 14 and 18 kt items. We ran a side by side test last week on the beach with both machines set the same . The manticore signals on the same target and depth were much stronger than the 900. The 900 wasn’t even picking up the signals until we made a few adjustments. I love my 900 but I have to say the manticore is a beast !
🤙👍
You shouldn’t be taking God’s name in vain.
I dont but thanks for the comment.
Ha e any of your penny signals turned out to be a fat mends wedding band
Not often and not gold, but sometimes they turn out to be a silver ring.
You have a really good channel there. Have you though of starting a how to or tutorial series? Your hits will go through the roof!
What were you swinging before the 900?
I swing the legend as well. Getting used to the 900 but i plan on switching it up. The nokta legend isnt going anywhere.
Thanks Steve. I very much appreciate the kind words. But the answer is simple, i am not an expert therefore i dont hold any credibility. I can only state opinion. 😉. Thank you so much for the support steve, keep swinging brother.
