As someone who has been inappropriately touched at a young age (like many of us), I absolutely do feel that there is a hierarchy of severity when it comes to sexual abuse. What i went through was EXTREMELY minor, compared to some of the horror stories that i have heard from others.❤

I'm sorry, I enjoy watching these interviews, but I hate how he prys and ask about their SA. He doesn't just ask, he wants all the details. As a survivor of severe childhood R, molestation, asking them to dig into those pass traumatic experiences, can make them feel like they're reliving it. Most therapist won't even ask their patients for details right off if ever, because It brings flashbacks and many other hurtful emotions. majority of these people lack the necessary coping skills to deal with it if they are triggered by talking about it. Respectfully, Unless you have the necessary skills to close that door after opening it, leave it shut. ( You never know when or if resurfacing that trauma could possibly push them over the edge. )

I only watched a few of these videos, I can honestly say the few that I watched made me uncomfortable, because I noticed a pattern of certain things. Please know when to stop prying & just hug people. Saying hmm, sighing, & moving onto the next question is perpetuating their trauma that has always been brushed over by others in their lives. You do not have to unpack their trauma in such great detail, observe their face & body language & know when to stop. Idk your heart like God does, but I noticed that pattern. As someone who has been inappropriately touched at a young age (like many of us), I absolutely do feel that there is a hierarchy of severity when it comes to sexual abuse. What i went through was EXTREMELY minor, compared to some of the horror stories that i have heard from others.❤

I'm sorry, I enjoy watching these interviews, but I hate how he prys and ask about their SA. He doesn't just ask, he wants all the details. As a survivor of severe childhood R, molestation, asking them to dig into those pass traumatic experiences, can make them feel like they're reliving it. Most therapist won't even ask their patients for details right off if ever, because It brings flashbacks and many other hurtful emotions. majority of these people lack the necessary coping skills to deal with it if they are triggered by talking about it. Respectfully, Unless you have the necessary skills to close that door after opening it, leave it shut. ( You never know when or if resurfacing that trauma could possibly push them over the edge. )
He will never stop because he doesn't care about how we feel, all that matters is how he feels. If he cared he would listen to us and ease TF down.

I only watched a few of these videos, I can honestly say the few that I watched made me uncomfortable, because I noticed a pattern of certain things. Please know when to stop prying & just hug people. Saying hmm, sighing, & moving onto the next question is perpetuating their trauma that has always been brushed over by others in their lives. You do not have to unpack their trauma in such great detail, observe their face & body language & know when to stop. Idk your heart like God does, but I noticed that pattern. We can all afford to have more humility, even myself. I pray you continue to give these people a voice, but also to watch your words, as well.

The interviewer is CREEPY he has her reliving what she went thru. But the sad reality is this type of behavior happens often in some homes and the story needs to be heard for the one’s dealing with trauma on the daily 😢
