After upgrading from the 5700XT to the RTX 4070S, I can confidently say I wouldn’t go back to AMD. NVIDIA cards excel in every way. The 4070S stands out for its exceptional efficiency and near-silent operation. I’ve undervolted it with minimal loss in performance, resulting in even cooler temperatures and quieter operation. Ray tracing and DLSS are leagues ahead of AMD’s offerings. Interestingly, my Alienware monitor runs noticeably smoother with G-Sync compared to FreeSync on AMD, where I often experienced screen tearing. The difference in overall performance and compatibility is night and day.

The 7800XT beat the 4070 vanilla, which cost 30% MORE! The 4070S came in at the same price as the 7900XT, which BEATS the 4070S. You guys are insane. Youre so emotionally biased ... towards a GRAPHICS CARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY ... that even in the face of basic logic and stats and truth you'll argue black is white. And then you say about the difference in performance between a 2019 5700XT (which cost £330 on release) and a 4070S (five years later costs £700) ..... NO SHIT SHERLOCK! ROFL! I'd bet a 7900XT destroys a 2060 too! But the 2060 ALSO got whooped by the 5600XT! While the 5600XT still cost 20% less!
You paid more money to use upscaling when I paid less money and get more FPS in native resolution. Nobody really cares about upscaling or ray tracing and they are just kind of marketing schemes to be completely honest. 90% or more of gamers aren't going to use those features. If it is so superior why do you have to upscale in a different resolution? Also a correctly undervolted gpu should not decrease your performance it should increase it. You sound like you don't know what you're talking about and are yapping NVidia fan boy gibberish you saw on reddit.
Some people are getting triggered here after I shared my opinion. Let me elaborate: First of all, the Nvidia 4060 Ti costs under £400, so it's not really fair to compare it to the AMD 7800 XT, which currently costs just under £500. Nvidia cards typically come with a premium because they’re generally more desirable and often superior in various aspects. Comparisons between AMD and Nvidia cards should ideally be made between similarly priced options or AMD's higher-end offerings. Nvidia 4070 is no longer on sale, I bought my 4070 Super for £499 on Black Friday sale, and I think the card's value will probably hover around £500 - £550 next year.
While AMD cards often boast impressive benchmark results, they seem to struggle in real-world use. Many gamers shy away from them due to frequent issues. I find that Nvidia is superior on every count, they are more efficient, more stable, more reliable, operate under better temperatures, have superior software, better drivers, Ray Tracing, upscaling etc. I am replaying Witcher 3 next gen with RT currently, oh my god, what a difference! Looking at the 2024 Steam Hardware Survey, the preference for Nvidia cards is evident, with over 75% of gamers choosing them. The 4060 and 4060 Ti alone make up about 10% of all GPUs, and the 4070 (both vanilla and Super) accounts for around 6%. In contrast, the AMD 7800 XT isn’t even on the list. This lack of adoption is likely why its price keeps dropping-it’s simply not what most gamers want.
@@emilm7844 No son. YOURE WRONG. The 7800XT launced at £529, and on the DAY IT WAS RELEASED, the 4060Ti 16GB cost £499 - as it had done since it was released. There were even certain models that cost UPWARDS of £529. Making it the DIRECT competitor of the 7800XT. COS THEY COST THE SAME! It ain't ROCKET SCIENCE! And we are NOT talking about the £400 4060Ti 8GB (which was as much of a joke as the 4060Ti 16GB was anyway). So please, don't talk nonsense. Everything I said in my initial repspnse was accurate and true. You can't argue with it, because it's FACT. Go an look for yourself, it's out there on the web, just google. And as a rule, if you don't know enough about something, as a rule it's better to NOT comment back and just READ and LEARN SOMETHING.
Yeah yeah but then activate dlss or dlss+ray tracing and amd fail in everything. Thats why most of pc gamers use nvidia, cause it offers better upscaling, fps, and raytracing if u want to activate it
You’ve been smoking too much Nvidia. The frame time graphs are much smoother on the 7800 XT overall. In Stalker 2, one of the games where the 4070S had a slightly faster average fps, the 1% low was 7 fps compared to 48 for the 7800XT, and the frame time graph shows the 4070S was a stuttery mess. The drivers have improved on the 7800XT to the point where it was faster than the 4070S overall in the 14 games tested too.
@@adlibconstitution1609 Did you watch the whole video? While the 4070S was faster in the first 4 games, the 7800XT was faster in the vast majority of games after that. While I didn’t compute the percentages, overall on average fps the 7800XT is faster in 7, the 4070S is faster in 5, with 2 ties. So ya, the 7800XT was faster in more games than the 4070S and faster overall.

You talk about the 4070S ... the 7800XT doesnt and never did compete with that card. It wasnt even INVENTED when the AMD card was released.
Sounds like you worship Nvidia
You paid more money to use upscaling when I paid less money and get more FPS in native resolution. Nobody really cares about upscaling or ray tracing and they are just kind of marketing schemes to be completely honest. 90% or more of gamers aren't going to use those features. If it is so superior why do you have to upscale in a different resolution? Also a correctly undervolted gpu should not decrease your performance it should increase it. You sound like you don't know what you're talking about and are yapping NVidia fan boy gibberish you saw on reddit.
Some people are getting triggered here after I shared my opinion. Let me elaborate:
First of all, the Nvidia 4060 Ti costs under £400, so it's not really fair to compare it to the AMD 7800 XT, which currently costs just under £500.
I love My RtX 4070 super OC 😊❤

Yeah yeah but then activate dlss or dlss+ray tracing and amd fail in everything. Thats why most of pc gamers use nvidia, cause it offers better upscaling, fps, and raytracing if u want to activate it
Native resolution is always better. So,no amd is not failing to nothing...
@proletariaRt Yes but Native resolution in games like wukong 57-62 is doesnt worth to buy amd. Lets see the new 9070xt and 5700 ti tomorrow
@@proletariaRtwith 250/300W and shitload VRAM.
@@ZanTTka Νο problem. Go and spend 1000 euros/ dollars for 1440p. It is your choice
@@proletariaRt I'm just talking about efficiency among AMD retarded fanboys. And broke worshippers
Pretty sad u can tell through UA-cam how smooth a nividia card is compared to an amd card😂😂. 3080 is still great and the 4070super is a little monster
@@lawrencekallal6640 Faster overall? Did you use watch the video? 4070super is faster overall in the 14 games tested
@@lawrencekallal6640 It’s worth turning on DLSS and Path tracing - and all the price advantages of AMD video cards disappear like fog in the morning. And if you also want to stream, then it’s a total disaster.
@MrCypher1999 anytime you turn on DLSS it's like smearing vasoline on your monitor. I wouldn't do it unless my performance was so bad I had to. RT screws performance so bad I just wouldn't use it either.
