Vaibhav Arora I'm actually using only one bit from it, the precision bit adapter. I'm using the precision bit adapter with my electric screw driver. The electric screw driver does not have small bits and this adapter is coming handy for a lot of stuff.
Yes. But if you are looking for general purpose home screwdrivers(without ratcheting and precision screwdrivers), go for Taparia set which is more durable and sturdy. amzn.to/3gkiucD (*affiliate link)
What are the cons of having play in the bits and extensions as you mentioned? Going with the original Bosch Ratchet screw driver set as advised. Thanks
nonconformiconoclast I'm a home user, not an expert. Here are my thoughts. When you are putting some pressure to tighent/loosen, the play can result in the bit slipping out of the screw and damaging the screw head, scratching/damaging the device you are working on etc. The precision bits have pronounced play as they use extension. These bits are used for small screws which are more prone to damage. Everytime you turn the handle, you have to keep the play in mind and compensate for that. This does not give much confidence, any tool should be firm/without excessive play. * I did not use Bosh Ratchet set but I expect Bosch to be generally better. I would recommend checking it and buying if possible. (I'm actually not using the skil ratchet screw driver. I'm using a cheap jackly 31 in 1 screw driver set which is much better for precision stuff. I only use the bigger bits of the skil set, I use them with my black and decker electric screw driver.)
+Harshit Rathi I have not used Bosch screw drivers, I do have a B&D electric screw driver that works great(video is there in my channel). My opinion is that both Bosch and B&D are very good, B&D is slightly cheaper. Skil, though is from Bosch is not a quality product.
very nice description.. i think it would be very good if you be more specific with every tool for new users like me.. but what you did is very good atleast we got to know some thing.. and if you show more usage of every bit.. it will b very helpful to me as well as others... good thing you did... appreciable...
I'm not an expert in these. I just review as a user. I have no idea of Bosch models you mentioned. I have a Bosch drill, I think RE500. It is almost 10 years old and still works like new. Ofcourse I'm a home user. My experience is that Skil products are of poor quality though owned by Bosch. Bosch products are very good, so choose anything that suits your requirement. Other option may be black and decker.
You had included all the negative sides of this product unlike others. I had decided not to buy this one because its too flimsy. Congrats for an amazing and truthful elaborate review. Any other recommendations from your side?
+Mithun John Jacob The cheap Jackly 31 in 1 from ebay screw driver set does a greaat job for me when I work on electronics. For larger house hold stuff, it's the Taparia 812 screw driver set. I have several others but these two always prove to be very useful.
I highly recommend this product,is good enough for small job! Don't aspect cheap product do the job like professional one! I'm hgv driver I'm using for change back lights on my trailer or my truck!
+VISHKI is the play designed intentionally? It's probably there to avoid any bending failures of the bits and adapters. If there was zero play then any bending loads would kill the bits in fatigue. The play is kind of like an allowance. Most of the times the force we put is not 100% used for turning. It'll put bending loads on the screwdriver. The play should allow some misalignment before the bending load acts on the bit. But I'm not sure. Because rough use will put high bending loads. Can anyone help out here?? Is this correct?
Amanveer Wesley If you use these tools regularly, I suggest you to check physically and then take a call. There is a Bosch Ratchet Screwdriver on flipkart, check that out. I haven't used it, but Bosch are generally of very high quality. Skil is marketed by Bosch but are cheap quality.
+Vipin Rahul This one is not worth. There is a lot of play as you can see in the video and you may end up damaging the screw heads. Bits are ok, but because of the play, we may end up slipping them off the groove. I realized that the ratcheting doesn't help unless you are working on wood etc. On a laptop and many other household stuff, the screws are very free after the initial friction in loosening them(or at the end if tightening), with such free screws the ratcheting will not help. The cheap "Jackly" 31 piece(or 30 piece) sets available on ebay/amazon is a better choice for laptop. I never use SKIL set for my laptop, I always use the Jackly set for all those small screws. Unless you really need those sockets and all those hex bits, do not go for this. Better to get different sets for your different needs.
Hi, i purchased a Jackly 31 in 1 screwdriver set today...have managed only to open the RAM slot screw...tried few other screws but having difficulty....pls let me know which screw type i need to use.i spent lot of time but could not find the right one...this is what i have now. cdn.shopclues.net/images/detailed/12/ORIGINAL_JACKLY_31_IN_1_MAGNETIC_TOOL_SCREWDRIVER_KIT.jpg
+Vipin Rahul Yes, looks the same as I have. I have used/opened Sony/Lenovo/Acer laptops with the same. I needed only one bit for all these, the small "+" bit. The same one that opened the ram slot worked for all other screws too. Which laptop is yours? do you see different screw heads? It should be "+". Without the screwdriver handle, just put the bit into the screw head and check, it should fit snug with out lot of play. Do not force anything, laptop screws usually do not need much effort. If you are using too much effort, something is wrong, you may damage the screw heads. Can you post a picture of the screws to my FB page?
Probably my phone headphones or the phones(Nokia 808) internal mic. I usually use my phone for recording. I don't use any special mics although I have a Samson Meteor(I find it inconvenient).
i have multiple sets. My preferred one is jackly 31 in 1 set for phones/laptops(electronics). For bigger stuff, it is Taparia screwdriver with interchangeable stuff.
That's a Good one. Need more such Honest Reviews in UA-cam.
Is good enough for small job!
Ty for explaining the extension part man. I was able to use the other parts now :).
Are the bits magnetic?
I got this product for Rs 250 from Flipkart. This video helped alot. Thank You

thanks for this! can i use this to dismantle screws?
Yes. But if you are looking for general purpose home screwdrivers(without ratcheting and precision screwdrivers), go for Taparia set which is more durable and sturdy.

So for power drill, what branded insert or power bit is best? Bosch GBM 6/6 RE/600 Professional?

Thanks for the review, very helpful
Thanks Good Review! Can you tell me where was it made? in the box? is it made in China/India?
Sanjay Ra Nothing is mentioned on the box, it just mentions "imported and marketed..."(can be seen in the video)
9:o8 what is the use of that?
am planning to buy this.. can this be used for my laptop and other home appliances? hope the bits fill the small star screws as well
