I have th Nicoletta Ceccoli. I love it. At first I thought What am I going to do with you. I even went back to the shop three times before I went okay you can come home with me :). I had not a baddream but one that stumped me. I got up and thought how about I shuffle on it then spot on, It helped to clarify the dream like I asked the deck to . Now it is one of my favourites, I won't lie to you the picture can be a little strange but I think worth it :)
I am happy and grateful to have the *Mary-El, Wildwood, and Wild Unknown,* in my collection. ♥️ Familiar with a couple of others you featured (fountain tarot, star child, nicoletta ceccoli)... Thank you so much for sharing some unique gems!
Hi Avalon. Have you ever encountered a deck wherein you are visually in love with the art work but could not connect with it? Also, do you have a deck that is not appealing to you but calls to you big time? thanks.
Just saw this recent and it's just what I've been looking for. Someone well informed on the craft. I've seen other vids.....boring. Yours is top notch. Thank you
Hi Avalon. I can't stop watching your channel! I love the fact you get straight into it, give good honest reviews, and you're interesting to watch and listen. Thank you 😊😌
Very informative, thank you. I have the Chrysalis and the Wildwood. Looking forward to working with them. I don't like photo collage decks either much. Two exceptions -- the Cosmic Tribe and the Sacred Circle.
The Wild Unknown connected with me immediately. I also have the 2nd edition but it doesn't resonate with like original. I'm in Love love love with it! I've been wanting the Crysalis Tarot for awhile, I'm saving up!! Thank you for sharing this video!!
Thanks for this video Avalon! I recently got the hidden waters and for me there are no words for the genius of how each ink blot works with the corresponding tarot card archetypes, who would have thought! Lots of great decks mentioned here, um, I do think I now want the Cheimonette deck! Hahaha. Much love xx
Ceccoli Tarot, Starchild Tarot and Fountain Tarot are all that I've been wanting to get my hands on for a while but I just haven't had the extra funds to justify the purchase. But all these decks are beautiful.
Thank You for this vídeo, i have been struggling to find a more masculine deck and the fountain tarot deck was the Best for me, mary-el is interesting but i'm not too much into it. Its refreshing to finally see deck free from fairies, unicorns and lots of pregnancy, thank you!
I'm going to be making a list to shop for! 🤣 I struggled with my first deck in my twenties (why oh why does everyone suggest the original Ryder-Waite to beginners). I couldn't read it, I never connected with it. I couldn't interpret the images, it just didn't look like anything I could understand! Fast forward roundabout twenty years, and a few decks passing through my hands as visitors on their way to their final partners. Today, my Welcome to Night Vale deck arrived. I am in love!
Hi Avalon. The Wild Unknown is one of my favorite decks to work with. I get great readings with it and the Art Work is so great. I love that it's a black and white deck. i really like the Margaret Peterson deck too.
I'm new to tarot and love your video! Thank you for sharing these decks! I am so drawn to the Wildwood, Mary El and the Margarete Peterson...They are so so beautiful.
Uggh! :P I thought I was done buying decks! Till you showed me the Cheimonette Tarot! Wow! It's incredible. Beautiful. Also kind of cool that Mary-El is an oil painted deck, and Cheimonette is a watercolor deck. Thanks so much Avalon - in spite of costing me money, I really love this and all your other videos. Wonderful info, and so much charisma and enthusiasm! Cheimonette will be my 22nd deck! Hmm... one for every major arcana card! Perhaps I'll have to do a video equating each deck to an MA card! TY! :D
I drew my tarot deck. I feel like that made me connect to it more. But I'm scared of using it because I don't want to ruin the artwork. So I'm gonna scan them and print them out. And store the original away. But I'm afraid that would take away the connection...
@Avalon's Spiritual Odyssey thank you so much for this wonder-filled video! It had been too long since I had watched one of your videos, and I often acknowledge you, as well as @owlmoon513 and @EmberHoneyRaven for helping me reconnect to the Spiritual Depth of my Magickal Path, as well as being the Living Goddesses that have helped me with my own UA-cam Channel. I loved your insights into the "Chrysalis Tarot" and the "Mary-El Tarot." As for "The Wild Unkonwn Tarot," it is one of those Decks that I wish resonated with me, but alas, does not. However, I AM well aware of its massive popularity, through you and other UA-cam Channels, but I digress.Thank you for making this video, and thank you to @heyheyitsmaggiemay on Instagram for the idea for this video, too.
"Little Miss Creepy", that cracked me up. It's also one of my favorites. :-) This was a great video and I loved your choices! The one deck I didn't have I had to go hunt it down because of your description of the voodoo tarot. You're absolutely right about the airiness of the fountain tarot and it does resonate with men well, I had to trim one of my copies and beat it up a little for me to bond with it. Love, love, love your videos. ❤️😘
Hay girl! Yaaay Wildwood and Mary-El are two of my faves 😄! Very nice that you made a vid on non teaditional decks, and that you love deep decks as well! The deck out of your list that interests me the most and that I hadn’t heard of before is the Chrysalis deck. I felt instant recognition , I saved the name ‘cos I love to buy it sometime. Thanks for sharing! Xo Olga
So glad I came across this great video! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Agree with you about the Fountain Tarot too cold for me and about photo realism not my cuppa either .....to each their own!!! Great reviews! Off to purchase New Orleans Voodoo deck.... just got back from NOLA a couple of days ago.... so seems the perfect deck!!! Love your effervescent personality!!!! 💜
YAY somebody who shares both my love of the Wildwood and my discomfort with airy decks. They give me an actual unsettled, creepy feeling. I like earthy decks much better, even creepy earthy decks.
Thank you for a great video! It inspired me to take out my Mary-El and marvel at it some more. I've never seen pictures of the Margarete Petersen tarot before, what an interesting deck. Do you happen to have the Tarot of the Spirit? It reminds me a bit of it.
Some of my favourite decks shown here! The Chrysalis Tarot is my choice for Ostara, The Wild Unknown is my Hedgewitch deck, The Wildwood and Greenwood are my soul decks. I wish someone else would publish The Wildwood with better cardstock. I just got a backup for half price from a store closing! The Mary-El. So deep and extracting! Fountain Tarot is my minimalist, painful, sharp and stark deck. Great for icy cold winter days! Great choices!!
Faerie, the German version of the Wildwood is much thinner and a really awesome card stock. I show a comparison between it and the american one in the debut video on my channel (didn't even THINK I could hold the camera HORIZONTALLY, darn it). The borders are also less annoying.
i love tarot decks, in my wishlist there are chrysalis, delos, XIII, wild unknown, dame darcy, morgan greer, lunatic, haindl, and uhhh, ceccoli, italian like me ;)
even though many advised me against choosing dreams of gaia as my first deck, none of the traditional ones resonated with me. i was instantly drawn to dreams of gaia the moment i saw them, i didn't even do any research into them before buying them - i was starstruck. and i did not regret it for a second
I am one of those who absolutely Adores the Fountain Tarot. It is a very straight forward deck. Noting that there is an extra card being the Fountain Card. I am generally more of a RuneCaster so Tarot is not generally my strong suit however this one in particular truly works for me.
You should create your own deck Avalon! I kinda have the same feelings with the fountain Tarot beautiful crafted just does do anything for me that's not to say someone else doesn't has an amazing experiences everyone likes what they like. And I love love the Nicoletta Ceccoli deck creepy but fun thanks for that that was fun to watch.
I wish the Wild Unknown came as a mini tin version. I don't like white borders on decks either. I think The Fountain deck is pretty traditional. It's a gorgeous deck. I'm dying to get the Star Child deck! I am a bit weary of guilded decks because I always think it's rubbing off on my hands (even if it's not.)
Bjs!
I really enjoyed this video. I happen to have all of these decks, but it makes me want to pull some of them out to work with again. I would love to see more videos with your top picks for different categories, though I'm biased because I love seeing your videos in general. Best wishes and a lovely week to you and your family. :-)
I do love me good card stock. I know that It can be expensive. But bad card stock just puts me off from keeping a deck. It is sad because there are beautiful decks with really bad card stock. Thank you for this video.
The mary el is a very intense looking deck,Im tempted to pick up a copy however as you pointed out it is a very crone style deck.Therefor As I am a man I almost feel as if it was not made for man but specifically for women. The feel I get from it is that I can gaze into the cards and see things but theres a hidden language in them not made for the eyes of man,and that in itself makes women ever more mysterious 😉Id love to know what were you're thoughts on the dreams of gaia tarot if you picked it up?
I don't think the mary el is a crone deck tbh and even if you think that it is, it doesn't mean you can't use it because you're a man. If you feel drawn to the artwork, give it a go. It's one of my faves.
It can be hard to find one that suites your taste and needs. I suggest looking at Pintrest until you find one that you like and then search for unboxing of the deck you like here on UA-cam.
Avalon Cameron wow, you are the second person to advise me to go on Pinterest lol. It's amazing. I noticed that I don't connect with the traditional tarot decks. How about the Dreams of Gaia Tarot?. That does not follow the traditional rider wait system and has some truly amazing artwork and new ideas. It is supposed to be "the new modern idea" of tarot.

Great choices. Yes, white borders really distract from the cards. If you have to put a border on it, do a black border because it's less distracting. For the most part anyway. I love the Margarete Petersen Tarot. But it's not one I've used for others yet. Starchild Tarot Akashic cardstock is phenomenal. I didn't expect to resonate with it so well, despite knowing there are cards that look so fake. Ex: The Hierophant. I love when decks go off and do their own thing.

Dear Avalon, I quite enjoyed your dramatic and *_sensational_* presentation style!!! ♥️

Hi Avalon. I can't stop watching your channel! I love the fact you get straight into it, give good honest reviews, and you're interesting to watch and listen. Thank you 😊😌
The cardstock of the WildWood Tarot has been improved. I just bought it a few months ago and it's much thicker than people say.
This was SO awesome, loved seeing these more non-traditional decks and which ones you picked. Thank you thank you!!
Very informative, thank you. I have the Chrysalis and the Wildwood. Looking forward to working with them.
I don't like photo collage decks either much. Two exceptions -- the Cosmic Tribe and the Sacred Circle.
She is so fun and full of life! I love her!
she dissociated
I've been on the fence with the Mary el tarot but hearing you talk about the way you do sold me😄 thank you !

@@AvalonCameron thank you!!

I have two decks from Doreen Virtue. I seem to be more attraced to her work in Tarot/Oracle decks.

Thank you! I was wondering if the Starchild would make the list! I loved this video.
Thats so funny the decks you don't like are at the top of my wish list! Its amazing that there's so many decks that cater to so many different tastes!
I have the Wild Unknown deck and it’s the deck I’ve connected with with most of any deck I’ve used.
It’s a very unique deck.
A fascinating video. I need just the books for most of them.

Love seeing videos like this! With your expansive collection you could easily continue to do videos similar to this.
Love ur review. Would love to see your deck when and if you create one. Tu
Oi :) Que legal que vc é brasileira! Amei teu vídeo, e o jeito como vc se expressa.
Eu tô começando a estudar Tarot agora, meu Rider-Waite chegou hoje. Por enquanto, vou ficar com os mais tradicionais, acho que vai ser mais fácil de ler.

I do love me good card stock. I know that It can be expensive. But bad card stock just puts me off from keeping a deck. It is sad because there are beautiful decks with really bad card stock. Thank you for this video.
I always enjoy your videos always so informative, you have some beautiful decks. By the way nice nails 👍
I can not find that version of The Antique Anatomy deck for sale anywhere. I guess I missed the boat on that one.
Its probably OOP now
Check out the Orbifold Tarot deck.

For those interested in a Vodoun deck I would look at the Carrefour tarot by Sean Woodward. Very intense and well done.
this is a late reply, but do you know where I can see all the cards? I was only able to find a few cards online.
"For getting down to the bare bones"
Lmao!!!
What a fun topic, love this video!
Did you have the link for the blog post where info about the wild unknown could be found?
Hi thanks for this video
Have you ever looked at the Gaia's Dream Deck? I think you might enjoy it. Also do you think you could do a video on the Mary-El deck?
Sorry struggle with audio can you list them below please
Love this :D Great topic!
Can u list the tarot decks in the description
I'm having a hard time finding a great tarot/oracle deck -_-
It can be hard to find one that suites your taste and needs.
So I'm trying to find something none traditional that I can connect with. Thank you so much for replying to me. I appreciate you and your advice 😊❤️
Much love 💕
Btw i am a new subscriber 🙏😊.
I also would like to know how do you feel about The Fountain Tarot deck. I was going to buy it but I git two Oracle decks instead. Energy Oracle Cards and Work your light Oracle Cards. Do you have these cards? Do you like them?
I have greatly enjoyed this video
Shocked to find out Avalon is Brazilian. Saravá!
Muito obrigado ☺️
How about the Dreams of Gaia Tarot?. That does not follow the traditional rider wait system and has some truly amazing artwork and new ideas. It is supposed to be "the new modern idea" of tarot.
You want dark? Try the HR Giger Major Arcana.
hey beautiful! Awesome topic! XOXO lots of love and blessings!
Thanks for sharing this!
the tarot forum .com is an excellent place to hone your skills and practice reading. I can highly recommend it whether you are beginner or a well seasoned reader, there is always something new and exciting to learn within the cards.
Nice variety, thx :]
Hi fellow Australian? I’m surprised how many tarot reviewers are from AU!
Do u have a lenormand or kipper or gypsy collection?
Great choices. Yes, white borders really distract from the cards. If you have to put a border on it, do a black border because it's less distracting. For the most part anyway. I love the Margarete Petersen Tarot. But it's not one I've used for others yet. Starchild Tarot Akashic cardstock is phenomenal. I didn't expect to resonate with it so well, despite knowing there are cards that look so fake. Ex: The Hierophant. I love when decks go off and do their own thing.
Norse Pagan Tarot Witch me too, it's nice to go off the beaten track with decks.
Love Your Video's :)
Pls write the decks' names under the video!
Is that your store or inside of your house holy crap!!

"Getting down to the bare bones" LOL Mary El is a deck which is not to my taste!
Non traditional lipstick :)

I wish you would do something about your audio. It is very hard to understand you. I don't know if it is your voice is soft or you don't have it turned up. I really like your videos but I have to watch them over to understand them. Thank you.
+Radha Das that's strange, my audio is loud across all devices at my end. Have you checked your audio?
I can hear her really well even on my kindle. What device?
Radha Das Audio on iPhone is crisp and perfect. Check your audio on UA-cam if you're on desktop there are different volume modes sometimes.
Are you sure it's not your device? I hear Avalon very well in all her videos, on my crappy Samsung pad lol
I notice it a bit too. Not on every video though which makes me think it's just that her voice volume varies a lot.
