In this video I take you inside the Capita Mothership snowboard factory. The Capita Mothership is the most iconic snowboard factories in the world. What makes it so iconic is the location in Austria, their clean energy efforts and the snowboards they produce. In this video I show you how snowboards are made. Also a look at their clean energy heating system which heat the building and provides heat to snowboard machines. A huge thanks to Marlon and Greg at the factory for helping to make this video possible. If you have any questions about Capita snowboards please leave them in the comments. If you want to see more snowboarding videos about how to make a snowboard let me know in the comments as well. Thanks for watching! Have fun snowboarding! - Спорт
I didn't know I would appreciate seeing all this as much as I did. I guess my passion for snowboarding goes deeper than I thought. This is so damn cool.
Awesome! Being there definitely made me appreciate what goes into the boards more!
Yewww
so sick to have a look inside the mothership thanks Kevin for the content!!
Thanks for the feedback Simon!
Yooo
i could look at capita decks all day long .., they consistently make the coolest topsheet and base graphics each year in snowboarding. super sweet to get a quick tour of the fabled mothership where they make their boards!
What a cool factory, really makes you appreciate the design and craftsmanship that goes into a snowboard. Proud owner of my first Capita Kazu Kokubo board.
I understand the high costs now. It's such a process per board, like an art.
So cool to get a comprehensive look inside the mothership! Killer job with this one, I really like how you put this all together. Wish I was there with ya!
Wish you were here too, TJ!! xoxo
Teeeejaaaaay miss u sócio!!!
You so should have been in this one TJ!
This year I bought a Outerspace Living, and I got to use only once before Covid hit, can't wait to start riding it again... Tnx for the tour Kevin, beautiful building, beautiful landscape over there
Just received my 2021 Duotone Kiteboard and so stoked that it was produced in the Capita Mothership !
I went there with a collaboration with EVO. One of the most awesome trips I've been on! We got free merchandise and custom capita boards during our tour.
This is so awesome. I just purchased the doa over the summer and is just sitting in my room ready to be used. Crazy to see the process and steps of making a board. Glad I got a capita board this year!
This video was done so well.
The making of a snowboard combined with amazing mountain and scenery shots.
Thanks you! It's an incredible spot for a snowboard factory!
:)
I just ordered my First Capita board, im way too excited 😂
Thanks for all the tutoring and information over the past year or so. I enjoy watching your productions. Keep up the good work and let's hope for a great season here in the northern hemisphere!
I remember when my manager at Ride left for another job - to work at Northwave (N Boots) & from there VP of Capita Snowboards when it was in Seattle. I'd say this was around 2000-2001. They've come a long way.
Love my Capita boards🤙🏼. Cool video Kevin, love everything about zero waste and the hard work that goes into quality snowboard products.
Kevin you brought us to snowboard heaven my guy thank youuuuuuuuu
Thank you!
this was so sick - thank you for taking the time to really make this a solid edit. Capita forever!
I thought it would be a full robot assembly line... Awesome to see so many people involved in the process.
Doug! How ya doing brother?! Hope we get a chance to ride this winter!
@@SnowboardProCamp doing really well man! Looks like you guys are having an epic trip. Hope to hear about it soon especially the Portugal part. Chelsea really wants to go there. I'm going to put in some effort to make my way to Whistler at some point this winter. I'll keep in touch!
There's a few interesting videos of some fully handmade boards. Would recommend this video - ua-cam.com/video/7Uu4Et7oahE/v-deo.html
Damn knowing how's done made suddenly made me want one! Damn it
What a cool opportunity! Thanks for sharing this. I teach tennis for a living and I remember how informative it was to see how they make racquets. I am sure you feel the same way about the boards!
That place is unreal! They have it so dialled
This was so awesome to watch! Thanks for bringing us along
what a beautiful factory and surroundings, cool to have a tour into a board factory. Capita design style always nice
So sick seeing the process and that they're trying to be as clean as possible in the manufacturing process. Loving my Capita DOA! Thanks for the behind the scenes vid!
Love my DOA as well!!
This was such a cool video! After watching I went to the Never Summer factory and also bought a Capita! I just wanna say how appreciative I am of what you put in to making these videos! And thanks for always being happy and looking out for us little guys!
Thanks heaps Kevin. Would love to see you do a 'world tour' of snowboard factories. 😉🤔
This is so good! I love u Kevin and keep up the great work!
my 2021 Capita Asymulator is an amazing board. I am in love with it
This was sick, was super interesting even in such a basic breakdown of the factory!
So wild to see the start to finish process, appreciate the tour man!
More than ten years? It’s literally their 20th anniversary.
Great tour, thanks (everything is possible)
I’ve always wanted to see this place!
This was dope! Cool to see how a snowboard is made!
Fantastic material, thanks Kevin!
What a great experience! The automation is state of the art. You are blessed
Nice man been looking forward to this video
Love the factory and the boards, my next board I’d definitely going to be a Capita Mercury.
Also love the fact that Duotone Kiteboarding boards are made in the Mothership 🤩
So cool how much the factory is run off natural zero emissions power - we will be buying at least one Captiva this year for sure 😄
Juste got my superdoa with union atlas bindings, cant wait for my trip to whistler !!
This is awesome! I cant wait to go here
I literally just got my capita board in the mail 😂
Nice!
Congrats! Took delivery of my BSOD on Saturday. Pairing it with Rome Black Labels... it's my Ferrari. Sweet video Kevin!
Same here lol, perfect timing!
Same here man
DUDE. Possibly my favorite video that you've ever made. EPIC music choice (what's the name of that track?!), great edit mixing in the overhead drone shots of that space age factory and the mountains in the distance, and of course the I-would--kill-to-be-there insider's look at the Capita Mothership. Love how you managed to capture the finishing process of the DOA too, my favorite board of all time. Huge props man, that was AWESOME.
Awesome feedback, Tim! Miss you!! (Also, wish you were here!)
Yo tiiim!!! Killing it. Cant wait to ride with you dude!
@@gillianmariepearce Miss you guys too Gill! You have no idea how much I wish I were there too!
@@Shred1904 Yo! It will happen this season my dude!
Yeaaah boy ! So cool thank you to share that with us !
OMG man great edit Kev hope you're doing well out there brother! thank you for showing the awesomness !
This is such a treat.
Thanks Kevin. This is so rad that you toured The Mothership and shared your experience with us. That's my baby right there 7:03. I have to wonder though how un-interesting your tour guide was because it seemed as though they just let roam around on your own most of the time. Thanks again!
Love the content. You guys are doing great. Keeep it up.🤟🤟🤟♥️♥️
Great video. Very well made
3:18 is the kiteboard "Duotone" design behind Kevin which started the 3D shaping on boards like superDOA
they have a clean building. and their machinery is spotless.
Im one of the service technician of the Felder CNC (the blue maschine what makes the woodcore). I have to go there 2-3 times pro year to repair and maintain this Maschine. It is realy awesome to see how the bords made. Wie have also a lot of maschine in Atomic ski this is also an intrestig place and its mutch bigger.
Capita forever
So sick. Makes me appreciate the brand even more now.
Amazing factory
That was a great field trip kids. Thanks Kevin for keeping us educated with COVID going on.
Haha, happy to keep the infotainment coming!
Thanks for posting! Stoked to ride my capita!
So sick!! Wish I was there :D
That mask looks like the one that acid spitting guy in “X Force” in Deadpool 2 had😂
I was thinking the same thing
epic review!
I never knew what really goes into a snowboard this is a great video
You have the best snowboarding video anything I want to know about you have a video for it ✊
Man i have to get me a capita board now keep this planet as safe as possible 🤘
6:35 Ultimate beaver slap!!!
wow that so sick!
Can't wait for Snowboarding this season
That was ace !
Keeveeeeeeeeeeeeeen New Zealand misses you :(
Miss you guys too!
Traveling the globe during a pandemic! Nice dude! Congrats
And after all that my week old DOA topsheet still creased after no particular landings of note and Capita decided they wouldn't warrant the board. Thankfully the retailer I purchased through is gunna help me out with a cost price new board, won't be a Capita after that experience though.
I would be interested in a “learn how to and make your own board” snowcamp/experience!
Thanks for the vid. I have a BSOD and it's nice to have some reality on what it takes to produce it
Wow it's super and very intresting. It's fine to see how boards are making, because most of people ride on boards and they don't know what is inside.
Wow nice :D ! I want to work there now.
congrats on 500k
Super cool
If you’re testing snowboards, please test the Ultrafear!! I got it for this upcoming season and it’d be great to another viewpoint on it. Much love from MA and keep up the good work!
I've really enjoyed this video... One of the most I enjoyed from you
Even with that mask everyone is complaining about hahaha
Looking forward to watching the Capita boards reviews!!! Thank you so much for sharing this kind of videos
Super cool😎
The music reminds me of some inspirational slow-mo Olympic game videos when athletes struggle to achieve greatness.
such a sick vid dude
Snowboard heaven
MARS1 !!!!!!! We have landed!
Great now i know where my horrorscope was made👍🏿
Is that prepreg fabric for the boards? As a manufacturing engineer working with composites, its cool to see how my outerspace living was made 🤟
What’s the deal with the mask Kevin. What is that 😂
It is a chin protector 🤪🧐🤔
Thank God masks are almost over but good lord this guy is ignorant for wearing such a stupid mask
That little strip of plastic literally does nothing.
If you guys look closely you can see the nose piece positioned at the bottom of the "mask". What it actually seems to be is eye protection in the form of a eco friendly disposable mask. Took me like 3 seconds to observe lol
Actually it was eye protection which he happened to place near his chin since he couldn't raise it onto his head being that he was wearing a hat. you can see the nose pieces jut below the screen of the mask. Its one of those easily disposable and less costly types which is rather eco friendlier than completely plastic glasses
I got my eyes set on a Capita indoor survival as my first board hopefully I get it soon
Yeah, I just saw my board, the ultrafear, pretty nice vid Kev, by the way I'm also a Kevin 😂
Man this really felt inspired by the mothership! How long are you in Austria for man?
I spotted some Duotone kiteboard graphics at 3:23 and 6:13 😎
Cool chin shelf
That's actually around the corner where I live, they offered summerjobs to students but unfortunately I was too late with e-mailing them :(
I’ve been really wanting to get the ultra fear for the next season but I can’t find any in stores near me
That's my boy bleau!

Great tour! 1 Question, are all boards made of wood?
Very good idea. Awesome work. Bravo.
Thanks Alexander!
If you want to see how some real handmade snowboards are made you should check out Douk Snow, UK based snowboard factory. Have a few videos on their youtube which is interesting, and I am sure if you were ever in the UK they'd let you come in and build your own!
I wish I could get that Travis Parker that was on the wall
When are you coming to Italy? :)
No way!😅
May have to change some plans and get down to Italy!
😳 uniiiiion
