In this video I travel to the Union snowboard binding factory in Italy to see how snowboard bindings are made. I've owned many different pairs of Union snowboard bindings in the past including the Atlas, Strata, Force and Contact Pro models. What I think makes Union snowboarding bindings special is the combination of function and style. The factory really exceeded my expectation seeing the amount of planning and development goes into each model. I was really blow away by the number of collab bindings Union has done with other businesses in snowboarding. If you have any question about Union bindings or snowboarding in general you leave them in the comments. Thank for watching and have fun out there snowboarding! - Спорт
As a snowboarder and engineer myself I love these factory videos, keep them going! Thank you
PD: I have a pair of Union Trilogy bindings myself and I love them
Bruhh, you are living the dream! Not only being able to shoot amazing videos on the snow, but also seeing where it all starts! So interesting to see. It's good to see these snowboarding brands trying to be more sustainable, and using good factorys in places where poeple actually ride snow rather than using some factory half a world away with cheap labour. Thanks!
Loved this. Thanks Kevin!!
Thanks for checking it out Ted!
Man, these factory tours are mindblowing. 3-d tech is crazy!
I love Union Bindings! I don’t think I’ll ever change bindings!
Loved that last part where they showed off all their special Co labs. That Kazu binding looks siiiiiiiick!
We need a church of snowboardology collab!
Sweet dude, love that union is trying to be environment friendly when they make our sick bindings
Dope video man. Wish it was longer!
Thank you for have visited my country and one of the best companies in our territory
Hope you can enjoy our mountains too 🤟
I never had Union bindings. I had even italian Drake bindings, but the circumstances always turned out that i went to buy Atlas, and bought something else...)) And now I went to buy a Falkor, shook their hands and again... bought the Cartel, the Cartel X.)) I hope that someday I will buy the same Union)))
P. S. Respect from Russia, Moscow
Thanks for the high quality videos Kevin! The snowboarding community appreciates this look under the hood on how our equipment is made (or at least I do). Keep it up!
Perfect timing as I'm in need of new bindings and have been looking at Union.
Just broke my rome bindings, what a well timed video
I broke my Rome's too haha cracked both baseplates down the middle, switched to Unions.
Love these factory walkthroughs! So fun to see the place where our favorite gear is made! 👍
Great content! This is why there are so-so bindings, good bindings, & great bindings like Union, Bent Metal, Nitro, Nidecker, etc.
Thanks so much Kevin. Great job.
Thank you George!
DUDE! great video and music choice, completed matched the hype of seeing a place like this! thanks for the stoke! sending love from Toronto
Glad to see where my bindings came from this year 💪
Hey Kev, loved the video man. The whole process is very interesting and I loved looking at all the collaboration Union has done. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks Jack! I couldn't believe all the collab bindings they've done.
@@SnowboardProCamp That display was pretty awesome
That was sick
I started on a pair of Union T-100's and this year I picked up a pair of Union Force's and I've absolutely loved them both.
Loving these tour videos Kevin, thanks!!

Such a sick video Kevin, thank you for sharing brotha🙏🏾
Lived in Van for 3 years and only just rode whistler boxing day 2020, I've also got those OG forces, probably from '07 (just broke the mounting disc and had it replaced for free). Forever Union!
Thanks! Awesome video, dude! Missin alps so much! If you're still in Italy you just have to buy local Parmigiano Reggiano. And if you'll go back to Austria i recommend to visit Katschberg in Karintia region. Specially A1 pista. It's so amazing 6 km long piece of snow happines
I have those Contact Scott Stevens bindings from 2019 and love them. Got them to go on my first board a Capita Indoor Survival
thanks men!! really enjoy this kind of videos!
Very nice to have a look inside the factory! If I would count the times you say guys, it would be alot haha, but thanks Kevin for the visit at Union binding co.
I'm still rocking some Burton Customs from 2008 when I first upgraded my board in high school. I've been eyeing some Union Forces in the Team White for this season, and this video just makes me want to buy them all LOL
Awesome to see how things are done at Union. I still have a pair of the Union Airblaster’s that I rock from time to time.
Such a cool video Kevin!! Thanks for making it
Thanks Nirav!
Awesome, I just got some Union Bindings!
Thanks for sharing all your journeys. You mentioned something about letting you know about ancient bindings-
I have a K2 juju from 1996 that I have a pair of burton freestyle bindings from that same year. I enjoy a throwback ride from time to time.
Keep Up your awesome work friend.
I still have some Burton Freestyle bindings from late 90s
Those are some classic bindings!
@@SnowboardProCamp I no longer use them but they definitely stood the test of time.
I think I either have year 1 Force's, or Year 3 😏. Can't remember, but I know they are white.
As do I
I have some 2008 red Forces that were my first set of nicer bindings. Rocking the 2021 Atlas now, such a high quality piece of gear.
Thanks for your advice last week Kevin I got the job selling snowboards!!!!
Amazing! What's the shop?
@@SnowboardProCamp steurtevants down in tacoma, it is smaller but packs alot of stuff into such a small shop and they have been around for ages, my dad went to them in the 90's!
@@SnowboardProCamp if you ever feel the urge to go to Crystal in Washington its a hop and a skip away :)
Cool buy not great pay
@@dieseldabz7104 honestly I don't care about the pay for a job while in college, just the opportunity to nerd out about snowboarding for money is great :)
What an amazing European tour you've had the last few months! Loved both this Union and the Capita vids. Bought some Unions for this season (I'm hoping I'll actually get to the Alps at some point before it ends though)
Thanks for following the tour! Hope you get to ride those new bindings soon!
Thanks dude. Keep up the good work!
Traveling the globe during a pandemic! Nice dude!
So awesome!
Just picked up the Union Atlas bindings for my new NS Harpoon!
This was a great video!!
Still rock the 2012 pink, blue, and yellow union contacts
Gr8 vid Kevin. Grazie 🇮🇹
Dope content bro!
I have some of the union bindings with the collab with Iguchi(his artwork) and Asymbol. Was looking for them on the wall but didnt see them. Great bindings and thanks for the tour!
Good video!
Dream !
Really neat! I wish you could have gotten interviews with some of the people behind the design and manufacture of the bindings.
this vid is gonna be sickk
Sick I can’t wait
That was a lot more interesting than I was expecting but also highlights how far your video production has developed over the last couple of years.
Yay this sounds so cool
Let's go!
@@SnowboardProCamp it's game time
Are there any snowboard companys around Boise?
@@SnowboardProCamp there are some but what should i know, I'm from Washington
Very informative video. Thanks! One suggestion: I would have loved to see some interviews with the staff themselves talking about their day to day work in the factory. Hopefully future tour videos will have this. Great stuff otherwise.
What a fascinating insight.
Awesome show all.
I just wanna let you know that you’ve help me IMMENSELY with backside 360 progression; I was able to land my first clean 360 off a jump today 😭😭
Cheers man!
Jussitsau thank you 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Amazing!
This is cool thx Kevin I own 2 pairs unions. Scott Stevens contact 2017 and just got the 2021 force can’t wait to ride would love to visit the factory!!
thanks for sharing!
This one too! Got the new set, (haven’t figured them out yet but working on it!)
It'd be sick to have a custom design on some Union Stratas.. I'd pay
Yo this is sick 👌
i broke the highback on my first day (this past friday) by slipping and stomping on it like a fool while trying to get my back foot out of the binding, lol. (i bought used, the plastic was brittle from age i think)...just ordered a pair of Union STR for the replacement. :) can't wait to get back out there to try again :) thanks for the inside look at the factory, it is confidence inspiring :)
I still have a pair of those white, first generation forces. They were still holding strong aside from a broken buckle I couldn’t find a replacement for. I have 4 other pairs of Unions on various boards. I even have the original Drake bindings before they became Union!
actually drake buildings still exists, only for the domestic market i think though as a cheap union alternative for beginners
@@peppolicchiopappo7274 they sponsor rusty toothbrush crew too!
@@Shred1904 yeah totally true
I have a pair of ride revolts lasted me years
so cool!
A factory review wouldn't be complete without going on the roof
Awesome vid Kevin! Love the on mountain stuff bit this was a nice change up... You could make some money doing these ;)
EPIC!
I've gone the bent metal route and luv how lite they r. But 2022/23 has me going the Strata route. I'm looking forward to it and the new evil twin or evil twin+👍
Perfect timing dewd
never knew union made that many different bindings, cool
Love to go there and have a nose around
Let’s Go!
Very nice video in Austria
Awesome. I recently bought a pair of Stratas. I rode them the other day on my Kilroy Custom and they were great. I was wondering how they would perform on my Jones Mountain Twin for all mountain riding. Any thoughts?? Thanks
Have a pair of I think 2009-10 factory...still ride them!
nice! thx, man!! )
Hey, I loved the video! I have a question tho. I’m looking for some new bindings and I’m rly interested in the union line. But I’m not rly sure which to get and what would fit my boot size bc brand size varies. Would u have any advice for me when picking some bindings?
I like how you don’t even appear to have a guide in the factory, just wondering around on your own, finding the archives lol
Love Union Bindings! Would never ride with anything else
Been on Union since year one. Still have my first set of OG Force's.
Hey Kev which union bindings would you recommend for freeride?
Great tour!
Could you share name of soundtrack, please?
You should do a review on the Ruroc Lite, it's a new model made specifically for park and I'd love to see what you think of it!
Kev, is the union contact pro a good binding for mountain and park?
I work on Mt. Spokane in the rental shop and we get multiple union bindings in for repairs a week due to broken toe straps
Can you go check out Northwave factory? Their boots are sweet. Love my Union bindings will never ride any other binding. Force all the way.
My first union bindings were a set of Force in white around 2010. They lasted until 2014 but by then they had a blue ankle strap on one side, one black highback and toe strap on the other, not sure what happened to them. I've got some F-Lite somewhere in the house. Looking for some new bindings to pair with my Jones Flagship. What would you recommend from the Union lineup?
sweet stuff! How do I get a job at a snowboard factory?
Union please bring back the Union Force MC bindings.
My falcor bindings were built there
Prob won’t see this but I need a new board and was thinking about the Burton instigator? Any thoughts
Which union bindings are the Bestfor all mountain freestyle?
Love the vids! I’m 43 years old new to snowboarding. 5’6 200lb. Looking to just ride and carved. Something I can grow into when get better. Let me know which two would you recommend. Price is no concerned just want the right binding. Ty
No step ons? :)
What would you say it’s the best binding to work with SuperDOA?
Holy damn, I think i have the earliest Union Forces. Just like that white ones, but on black, damn. i got them for free, haha
