I had a three piece set of these. This truck, and then a tandem dump truck and a road grader. Wore holes in my pants playing in dirt. Thanks for sharing.
I had one just like this years ago. Modded it to be a full suspension realistic proportion drive train with some Tamiya parts. I think i still have it somewhere in my attic. Memory flashback nostalgia hit. :))
I understand that Tonka has used the chrome wheel covers since their beginning, but does anyone prefer just the black wheels on some of the work trucks? Just curious if I'm the only one...
After seeing all the extra parts and assembly labor I can see why I never got one as a kid. Brautiful job, beautiful truck. Looks so much like the Minnesota Highway Department (pre MNDOT) snowplows of the era.
That looks like some little boy gave that truck plenty of sand box time, dreaming of the day he could "drive the big one." That was a pretty complex bed, more engineering in that than could be expected in todays toys.
I've wondered through many of your videos why you don't strip the paint before sandblasting. The old paint only contaminates the substrate in your machine and slow down the process...
A most excellent restoration job on this truck. Another childhood toy brought back to life.
Excellent 🎥
Exactly the kind of ASMR I needed. Thank you! Especially liked the polished nickel plated hub caps this time.
Thanks Paul! I've been experimenting with some new processes!

I like them too. And white steel wheels on commercial trucks. I've done a few with white ones.
Looks great well done.
Thank you very much!
The best 😎👏👏👏👏
Cool resto. What are you going to put the twin carb manifold on? That would be Interesting too.
Was going to ask the exact same question.
31 Model A I'm building. I'm have to put up a video when it's done.

Increíble trabajo.

Beautiful color joe

Nice resto, but I gotta say I dug the original patina on this one. Had a nice rat rod vibe... 😄

Really nice resto. Do you heat your retainer tabs so they don't break off when bending back over?
Nope, just bend them. They tend to weaken so you really don't want to have to rebend them once they're rebent.
A+👍!
Nice job. Is that a hotrod downdraft intake for a model A on the bench ?
nailed it!
Nice
Is the pcs 1000 a good powder coating gun or would you recommend something different?
ficou muito legal
Tonka didn't make the plow until 1957, which probably explains why it was missing from this one when you got it. Looks good, regardless though.
First like

You should merge with chip channel bc your formats are identical.
Couldn't tell the diff on who l'm watching.
I've got an old tonka dump truck that i'd love to get restored by you brother, how do i get ahold of you?
