Great video doc!🤝👏 How do I deal with white pimples I am post op day 7 cast removed yesterday - my dr did not talk to me about taping my nose even if my skin is thick: is it because I went through a septoplasty as well as a rhinoplasty on the same surgery? Appreciate your reply
Thank you. Skin can get oily for a few months after rhinoplasty. Gentle topical anti acne toners or light lotions are OK to use. If you have a bunch of pimples, taping will make them worse so we tell patients to wait until the skin clears up. Talk to your own surgeon and follow his/her instructions.

Doctor, is it okay to undergo rhinoplasty while on Isotretinoin? There are mixed information in the internet , I'm confused.
Good question. Traditionally we believed that 6-12 month period must pass before surgery. That is still true for any type of surgery involving skin such as CO2 laser resurfacing or facelift. But for Rhinoplasty the guidelines have started to change. Many doctors actually pre and post treat patients with thick skin with Accutane to help thin the skin. Many of these doctors still require the Accutane to be stopped a few weeks before and resumed a few weeks after. Talk to your own surgeon and see how he/she feels.

we start our patients after surgery but pineapples can be eaten before and after

@@savannaaahkia we have a ton of tips and instructions on our website. feel free to check them out. but you need to follow your own surgeon's instructions - not ours. The biggest tip we have is "make sure you chose your surgeon well!"
