He won a grammy so he is clearly a fantastic musician capable of playing various musical instruments and arranges and produces music. LJ is so intelligent, a lil genius. Definitely a child prodigy and already composing instrumentals.
LJ def has natural skills. It could be seen when he was 2. I was amazed. In a good 5 years I want to hear him and here he is! And his parents are great teachers too. I love the way Dad plays and how Mama sings. What a family! All that music in one place.

I love to see how Justin tries out ideas and follows impulses. A lot of people are teaching child prodigies to do some sequence of motions as perfect as possible while giving them little space to experiment and develop. I'm glad that he has parents that understand that music is about much more than virtuosity.

Now I might be biased on the whole thing since I am a lifelong fan of Dave Matthews Band, but in my opinion Carter Beauford is one of THE BEST drummers I have ever watched just on the way he can switch.
