I just got overall 7.0 (L7.5, R8.0, W6.5, S6.0) last weekend, which have made exemption application for freshman English was approved.
But I performed much worse than usual in the speaking test. I kept stuttering and my mind went blank during the process.

I followed all your advice for all parts. My listening section part 2 was full of trick questions 😂. And for the speaking section I think I repeated a few words more than I should have. In my opinion i love Indian accent because it so lovely and her grammar is good however rather then i would give a grade to Palestinian girl because her English is much better ❤❤

I think the main key to speak coherently is calm and clear our mind. If my mind is entangled, i can't even speak in my native language, let alone foreign language 😅

Are examiners in some countries stricter in giving higher scores? I know Ielts has its own criteria but I feel the first girl in the video had lots of pauses but still managed to get a band 9?

Hey Chris! Can u help me to understand I'm confused. I registered to British Council CDI and my main exam is on 17 August and my speaking test is on 16 August. A lot of people are saying like Your speaking test will be in the same day with your main exam. Can you please explain?

I personally think that the „learnt parts“ of the second one are too obvious and for sure, this must be treated as my personal anecdote, but based on my experience, I‘d rather struggle around instead of risking a not so smooth transition into a memorized story.

The person doing my interview had to struggle holding back laughter to some of my responses. Am I cooked or am I cooking? Answers weren’t jokes but I could see why someone would find them amusing or what not.
Hi there. It is normal to wonder what you could have done differently and even feel nervous after doing a test, but there is nothing you can do about it now.
What you should do is just wait until you get your results and we will provide you with the help you need afterward. Hopefully, you won't need it!
