I envy people who get to have great-grandchildren. I met a woman on a boardwalk by the beach in the state where I live and she was chasing her 2-year-old great-great-grandson. I stopped him for her and wound up having an extensive conversation with her. She was a lovely lady. She had gone to the boardwalk with her grand-son-in-law who was the little boy's grandfather. Her daughter was the little boy's grandmother. Four generations were staying in a beach house to enjoy the beach and each other.

The little girl who said l can't take this anymore.... reminded me of when my now 25 year old gr. nephew was that age. He wanted to stay the night at grandma and grandpa's house so bad. About 1:30 in the morning he had a hard time going to sleep. He sat up in bed, rubbed his eyes and with a fat lip and alligator tears shook his head and said l just can't do this 🥺. Ssoooo... grandma and grandpa had to take him home, it was only like 8 miles away.
