His coat is exceptional Lisa and has a many champions in the blood line and being a gun dog may fetch not catch......lol. may loose more carrots to him.....lol.
Awwww, he's beautiful! we have a 7month old Doberman, she's full of beans, loves the allotment and any vegetables and fruit she can get her chops around 😊

We did anticipate how big he will get looking at his champion dad so got the biggest crate we could find, well behaved so considering he has started missing his brother's and sisters. Looking forward to the long walks as he gets older and we will then reduce the amount of running we do at the moment.
He's a beautiful pup Terry, try and encourage him to sleep in his crate, this will make things easier as he'll know it's his safe place. In particular when you both need to go out.

Aw Terry Mrs K must be thrilled with her new puppy and I hope it helps in her recovery. I lost my last dog a black German Shepherd two days before the very first lockdown. That is why I became a veg gardener to get outside and take my mind off it and I still miss her but not yet ready to have another, though I do teeter from time to time. LOL. The Westie was going to be our last dog, but once she wasn't able to go long walks and now not at all has made it difficult for my wife to get out so we went for it. Take care my friend and don't rush into any quick decisions about getting another dog just because you have seen this video.

I hope your little Westie is OK it is hard when they get older and can't do what they used to. Don't worry about me I have my sister's 18 month old dog to pet and play with the joy is immense then when I have her to look after it reminds me of the hard work involved, I borrow her when I am teetering. I had Weimaraner x long-haired Golden Retriever and he was a wonderful pet. The Golden Retriever calmed him down but he got his personality from his Weimaraner heritage. I would have another in a heartbeat. Your puppy is glorious!
A new puppy that will keep Mrs K busy especially in Winter, I remember the muddy paws tracking through the house. A beautiful pup to train and enjoy, but I love your Westie even if old. We don’t have any pets now, our lifestyle doesn’t allow but I do miss having a dog. Enjoy the new year all of you.
The wife is missing the walks so doesn't get out the house as often as she should so this will help her focus on looking after the new dog and hopefully will mask some of the pain when we make the decision about our Westie. We run about 12 miles a week and need to reduce this due to our age so long walks will help reduce that. Happy new year to you and your family.

We have bought the slo feeders for when he gets greedy Malgosia and we normally run 12 miles a week so we are changing to quick walking to save to much strain on our bodies.
He appears in most of my home videos and is now over two years old, been a little handful for the first two years, don't let him/her try and rule the household.
We had three dachshunds. So we thought, how hard can a Weimaraner be after that. Suprise! She calmed down after two years, when we adopted her sister from the same litter. They are five yrs old now. And dowing fine.😅

I have a, just turned one, German Pointer and went through the ear thing for the first few weeks last Winter/ early Spring. Had a small Pyrex bowl in the cupboard and found it was the perfect size. Nose on the inside, ears on the outside. Won't be long before Mrs K will want to kill him ten times a day!
She has always wanted this breed and he is behaving really well for now, my wife is at home all day so should be able to nip anything in the bud as it happens. We got a specialist bowl, but he is a bit too small to keep both ears out.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening the inside toys get left outside then get mucky. They will bring that toy inside and it will get flung against the wall. Mine will leave them laying all over the floor. So no indoor toys outdoors. All the best to you my gardening friend.😊

I have a question. I have a small apartment in which I live alone. I have loved this dog since I was young. I want to buy a puppy soon. I am very athletic. I run at least 10 mils every day in the forest next to us, I have the opportunity to accompany him in the first months. Is raising him expensive? And does he bark at home? Is it possible to raise him in a small place, even though I pledge to give him daily walks? Thank you for this video and I hope for an answer from everyone with experience.
They stay in the puppy stage for just over 2 years and they love attention, but they will try and rule you so you need to ensure they don't. Barking when we leave has been an issue and you will need insurance as they are very clumsy. sounds like you will have the time for this breed and the open spaces. You do need to look for more advise, all dogs are different so you may get a good one.
meaning, is there a way to train him not to bark? Of course I will accompany him all the time while he is a puppy, as well as for walks. How much does it cost to eat a good croquette?

Two years old now and he is just getting out of the puppy stage.
He's cute! is he silver or blue? we are waiting to bring ours home in May when he gets to 8 weeks old.
