I still love a good potato harvest Terry..Like your carrot root fly, powdery mildew seems to crop up no matter where I plant zucchini. At least this time I got a real good crop before it took over most of the leaves. This time I just cut all the affected leaves off and perhaps a little more time before their growing season is done.

Wow, i didn't realise they would grow that far down. I think I'm going to need a bigger pot. I have now started using decking screws on my plot, thanks to your channel. They're so much better. Brilliant harvests there. ❤ All the best to you and Mrs K

I bought a packet of two JA tubers in a packet from a garden center about 5 years ago, they were on sale and looked pretty past it.. planted them in open ground at my allotment and nothing happened, forgot about them, 2nd year they appeared and got a nice little harvest, 3rd year much more. After having to limit my time at the plot the past 2 years to care for my wife, who sadly passed away last July, I'm now completely overrun with them. They've now pushed out to about a 3m circle. I clearly didn't do my research before planting them. They are on my hit list to hopefully double dig and clear out the area in spring. Thank you for your content Terry, it keeps my passion alive while I'm lacking the mojo/drive to get back down there myself. Looking forward to some warmer brighter days in the coming months.

I was saying to myself," I bet it's the fartichokes that pushed the board out". I know how prolific they grow, especially around the corner s and edges.
    I love using decking screw's too.😊
The carrot root fly can blow anywhere any hight in the wind 🌬️🪰
What an amazing harvest Terry, I wish I could grow potatoes and carrots all year round 😊
    Take care my friend...😊🐮🐮🐮

I wonder if the winds that we've had have carried the flies up higher than they would normally go. It's a case of wheeeeee ta ever so for them! The Wiljas look great! Nice harvest for this time of year. Cheers.

That was an amazing amount of potatoes out that container brother Terry. I know you look forward to the challenges dealing with the carrot fly, the carrots looked amazing though

Hi Terry. I remember when you planted your artichokes. That's a good result and so is the rest of the produce you took home. I think im going to put my carrots elsewhere this year and cover them up. Lesson learned lol. Oh that toilet brush action...👍👍 🥕🥕😁👍😂

Hi Terry when you were tipping the potatoes did u not have any of the stems with some green leaves at the top of the compost or did you take them off before hand. Thanks Emmet.

I grew Jerusalem artichokes two years running quite successfully in a container. The third year I forgot they were in the container and used the soil for something else. I was amazed they didn't show up anywhere - and still haven't. I think I dodged a potential headache there! Do you grow your celery in a trench or is it the self blanching variety, Terry?

Carrot root fly are a pain. I’ve given up trying to evade them. Only way would be pesticides, but not doing that. I only grow the resistant varieties now. Don’t taste as good, but organic!

Any chance you can send me a few artichokes? I did have some of you a while ago but the tub I put them in had no drainage holes and rotted 😢
