Just found your wonderful channel. Visited The George in 1969 and Blackfriars in 1972. My in-laws met during WW2. Ruby, a Londoner who's dad worked for the railroad, and Reb, a barefoot Georgia moonshiner until drafted into the u.s. army. They met, fell in love, and married after 3 weeks. Their daughter, Maureen, and I loved visiting from Oregon. Cheers, lovely to see London again, and the pubs.
i've drank in every pub you visited and in terms of interiors, the old bank of england is the most impressive however my favourite is the ship and shovell, terrific little pub and really good beer. i've made a note of the pub tour (i'm a member of camra and go to pubs in various areas primarily in and around london just to discover them) and i intend to pop along and join him. thanks for the video, it's very interesting.
Thanks. So many good pubs. I'm not a member of CAMRA but I picked up one of their free magazines in The Coal Hole recently and was surprised at the huge number of micro-breweries in London they mentioned. (Perhaps another video?).
Your mention of pubs in your previous videos was really interesting and when I heard about this new pub one I thought you would be going into more depth on the pubs in those videos which I would have personally preferred. This video just feels like an advert for Vic’s London pub tours.
The long-awaited pop video. I must say, I have previously really enjoyed your other three videos. They are so informative and so professionally delivered. This one, however, although it is still very informative and interesting , has a much more casual feel to it and for me it’s not as enjoyable in its delivery. It doesn’t seem to flow as well, and there seem to be many stilted silences. It’s very good and really interesting to know about the pubs. However, it’s a completely different style to your previous videos which I preferred personally. I hope you will revert to you previous style of delivery. The style of this video being more casual is very prominent on UA-cam and does not stand out from the others which your previous ones did. Looking forward to more videos in the future.

Glad you enjoyed it.
The great British pub. Vic is fascinating. Will definitely book one of his walks. Great filming.
This is a fantastic video!
Excellent as usual, thank you.
Thank you!
In 2022, I had lunch at the Bank of England...one of my least favorite pubs. Had dinner at the Blackfriar....wonderful place.
Excellent video, I thought I knew a lot about the topic well how wrong I was. Look forward to your future videos. Thank you
Glad to hear it! Thanks.

@@TheHistoryofLondon-PeterStone that would be lovely. obviously i don't want you to be beer focused, but it would be nice once in a while.
@aethellstan With it’s lofty ceiling and hard surfaces, I imagine the old bank is quite noisy when reasonably full of patrons. True?

Very accurate review. Interesting content in the video but not as well flowing as earlier videos.
My favourite pub is the Cock And Balls on Old Compton Street.
