As a Londoner it’s always interesting to learn about the history of a great city. It makes a refreshing change to watch videos about aspects of the city’s history that are lesser known about. Your knowledge and attention to detail oozes out of this video. A great watch.
Another fantastic video! A great explanation on what a livery company is. My daughter is called Katerina and my mother was born in Alexandria. As a small child, we used to celebrate Saint Katherine’s day with my daughter and we have a picture of Saint Katherine with the wheel. Watching the video reminded me of that. I also know the church in Saint Bartholomew’s hospital really well because I used to go there often when I was visiting a friend who was very ill there. So your video has brought back many memories. You are really good at this. Keep the videos coming.
What a great video. Your explanations are so clear and engaging. I love your reference to pubs in both videos. Always useful to know where you can get an early morning pint before work. More please.
What an interesting channel you have here. I’d love to be part of a livery company. It sounds so traditional. I suppose the general public can’t get involved even as volunteers? Well done on such a great video. Going to watch your other one now.
A really interesting video about London. So glad I will be visiting from Rom over Christmas. More nice looking pubs to visit too. Thanks for all the information. Salvatore.
What a fabulous video. Teenagers seem to learn so little of the heritage and history of our great city. Your video is clear and so well delivered and would be a great tool in schools to teach of our history. You should approach schools with it. I imagine if the school you went to is still around they’d be interested in showing their students what one of the pupils has achieved. Well done.
Great video. I went to a school called Haberdashers Aske school, would of been in the late 70's probably, we used to catch a school bus from Sudbury Town station and I think it went to Elstree. My mum also went to the same school except she said it was in Ealing back then.
Enjoyed the video very much, in particular David who is an admirable speaker; he's visualizing as he speaks, so it's easy to comprehend everything that he says. (Am assuming that the 2 statues in the courtyard are pointing the way to the bathrooms...after viewing the fountain, that is...just a joke).
Another interesting video. I knew nothing about livery companies until watching this. I like to watch with subtitles as I am of Spanish decent. Sadly you did not include your own ones for this one. I watched with You Tube subtitles and they are not great. No punctuation and not all words are properly recognised. For example the first reference to the work pewterers is not shown spelt correctly and what is shown is actually a swear word in Spanish. Amusing for me but probably annoying for those who need subtitles. I hope you go back to your excellent sub titles. Muchas Gracias.
Thanks for your comments. There is a difference of opinion on the sub-titles. I included them on the previous video but some people complained they are a distraction. I can't win!
I must commend you on how clearly and confidently you speak . So well delivered. Thank you for another great video.
Thanks for another great video. With really knowledgeable guest speakers again.
I learnt so much about something I only had vague knowledge of thanks to you. So well delivered with great images.
I was aware of the term livery company but was never really sure what it meant. A very clear explanation. Thank you.

Enjoy your visit. I'm hoping to include a lot more pubs in future videos.
An unusual subject but very interesting.
Excellent, Peter. Thank you.

History of livery companies?
Or an advertisement for the worshipful company of haberdashers?
Made with the help of the Haberdashers.
