- Welcome to Weekly Used Gun Review. These videos are meant to by entirely educational. Nothing in the video is for sale. There are no fire demonstrations in this video. In this series I pick a small sample of guns that have been brought into our store for review. This is a good way to expose my viewers to a wide array of firearms that might not otherwise get their own dedicated review. Any comments asking for pricing or inquiries into the purchase of these items will be deleted. Thanks for watching!

That Garand and Inland Carbine, and that Winchester 1897 12 gauge pump shotgun are tasty... Great upload. Thank you.
My absolute favorite weekly show!
I wish Florida had your “should go for” prices. I feel like your prices are always lower then they are here
Remember on every used gun there should be a negotiation. Use these prices as a good resource to negotiate. It never hurts to ask if they will take 25- 50 $ less.
Yay, highlight of the week, thanks Chris for rescuing us from another 7 days of virus- and election-related horrors.
I’ve only become interested in guns in the last 5 years... I find myself wishing for “the good old days” when the market wasn’t a mess.
Now that you mentioned the VP9 being in your top 5 modern handguns you'll need to do a video on all 5 lol
My top 5 r all caniks. Lol
Hi Chris! Loving your channel, great concept, great execution.
Man I just love this series! I learn something new every other firearm you 5alk about. Great videos! Much appreciated
I love your videos. Its like a time-travel trip. Like this one - starts with Taurus, HK, then before you know it, M1 Carbine, Garand, 1897... Awesome !!
It's amazing, the info that you and other gun guys have on these. Thanks for doing what you do
After the weather , i go to this guy to see new vids. Goes well with Folgers coffee.
That 1897 has been cut down. The riot and trench 1897s don't have the pop-out lever that allows the gun to be easily broken down. That shotgun does have that lever. The Model 12 shotguns were the same way. Still, a nice example and they are easy to maintain as long as the headspace is still good.
My favorite clip.
Always great info .
Great selection this week. As always....very educational. Keep up the good work.
My first pistol was a Sigma that I bought from Sports Authority in 1995. I never had a problem with the trigger because at that time I didn't know anything about triggers.
You need to put together a montage of how those walls behind you have looked over the last few episodes. It’s like seeing someone whose house has been repeatedly overrun by marauders. Fewer and fewer supplies.
Great content as always. Love your posts. Thanks.
Got a SW40VE a couple of years ago at gun show. Don't remember what I paid for it, no issues with it so far👍
Keep em coming. Look forward to these every week.
How ironic,i am purchasing a 97, made in 1924,it does have the front bead sight, it also has some damage to the forearm, one more payment and i can bring it home, great show, always enjoy it thanks.
Chris, an amazing video as always stay safe thanks.👍👍👍
That 1897 was chopped down if it was a trench gun it would have grooves in the bottom of the barrel for the bayonet lug the cylinder bore marking could have been faked
That's what he basically said.
1. I like your videos
2. Good format
3. You do a great job
Top notch again Chris just wish you did one every day!
Great video, thanks Chris.
On the Winchester, could the barrel have been replaced? Maybe a riot gun that was damaged and someone replaced the barrel with a different one that was not the correct length and chopped it down? Just spitballing.
Love the info you share. Means a lot
And did I see the trench gun was hammer fired
For Romy AK's the first ones came in in 97, as a bunch of different models. It wasn't until 99 that you got the WASR-10's and SAR series. The WASR-10 GP was the original "evil feature" AK as they went on sale immediately after the ban expired and a lot of the earliest ones had their slant breaks "permanently" installed with some kind of thread locker. They were also made with surplus parts.
Good job Chris.
I have a 1897 riot gun with a cutts compensator added. If I were to cut it off it would end up like yours. Just a possibility. Favorite show.
Cool selection
Really wish my gun shop had cool stuff come in like that.
Always a fun video!
Wanted to thank you for the education on the Japanese bring back rifles.no orchard on mine ..darn it!but aircraft sights...check..actually got me back into reading a book on the subject.take care
I was waiting for this video...I really like 👍
I believe that the 1897 Winchester is a cut down Brush Gun. The reason that I am making that Assumption is the missing front sight bead. That being said, Original Winchester factory records are available for this model from the Cody Firearms Museum in Cody, Wyoming, from serial number 1 thru 377999. Polishing Room serialization records are available for all serial numbers.
Why would you ever trade in a treasure like a Garand?
A lot of people just don't want to mess with an old warhorse or would want it to go to someone who would enjoy it more.
Or they see what they're worth online and take their deceased grandpa's gun and sell it for quick cash :(
It’s worth $$$$. Been offered $1800 for my feb 1940 SA.
Because the ridiculous lockdown made them unemployed and they need to feed their family.
@@VCBird6 Or they somehow found the exact same gun, in better condition and/or with more original parts, and they're selling one gun to help pay for the other--upgrading their collection.
I have all girls and I pretty sure when I take the big nap my collection will get dumped, no one in my family has a interest thats where they come from
I want that VP9 because I have a RMR laying around that needs a home!
Nice guns nice video thanks for all the info
Like the old guns
God , i miss those AK prices, First one i ever bought, not owned but bought lol was in 2008 and i got it for 350 out the door! Damn, I shouldve bought 5! Haha same with SKS and Mosins back in the day BUT you know what they say , Hindsight is 20/20 right , 2020 lol been a weird year for sure ! Stay well and safe! God Bless!
I’ve had several Taurus models including the G2C and a PT-58, a Beretta Cheeta clone from when they first bought the Brazilian factory and tooling
Always had success with all but just moved on as my experience, knowledge and savvy progressed
Basically, I moved on from a strictly defense motivation to performance hobby
Very good.
VP9 has a really good trigger.
True American Patriot ! 🇺🇸❤
I want that H&K!!!!!!!!!!! and an RMR TYPE 2!!!
Wow you still have the 1903 Springfield!
How to reck the value of a surplus rifle- Refinish it! I have 3 M1s all were rebarrled in the 1950s. And all came from the CMP.
that has to be the biggest range of worst to best, I dont trust the ruger or the smith, just tacklebox guns, but the carbine and 1897 are sweet
Not knowing if it's a $1000 gun or $50,000 gun.. Gun shop problems....
I made my early 1897 duck gun into a riot gun.. just saying. I did it cause I wanted the handiness of the short barrel.
That 1897 shotgun got my attention. Paul Harrell discussed this weapon in one of his top 5 guns for home defense, this made his list. He explained the function and demonstrated the action, showing that it is indeed a unique, cool shotgun. Love your content and presentation style! Thank you
That vp9 is sold am sure in a day.
The Cugir plant in Romania is pronounced Coo-Jeer not Cougar
CYL marked 1897s with 25" barrel - aka "brush guns" were manufactured. Also the stock isn't correct for a 1909. You did not mention if it was a takedown model.
My homie had a sigma. It was a jammomatic
Also.paratrooper stuff.like it. Gravity knives & one of those rifles on this video(but the real deal) in the market.more of a shooting person rather than a gun collector so a reproduction maybe the way to go. Dk. Do some estate buying & all sorts of stuff pops up. Either way, they are still going to be shot some.HK’s...mag release buttons for Americans..NOT this American.love some German quality...great format.keep up the good work.
PS.its a shame about panic buying. Not my thing..never participated and never will..later. Keep on keeping on!
Kinda funny that half the firearms I own are never on your channel.
you could check with othias at c&rsenal, they did avideo on trench shotguns
Contact Garand Thumb, he has worked with restorers on different Winchester 1897.
Ww1 trench guns were takedown, could the receiver have been civilian, but the barrel and tub assembly been military? Could explain why the receiver is unmarked and stock in such great condition. Otherwise 99% I would just say it’s a cut down 28-32in barrel to 20
It's been cut down.
I’m trying to buy an M1 carbine but they’re so pricy!
Sell one of your kidneys -- I hear a good one goes for about $100,000, and much more to the right buyer. Just kidding! :-)
BigSkyOkie ahah
You can buy a new production gun for under a grand.
@@WALTERBROADDUS ive been searching but theyre all marked up above 1k these days.
Check out under sporters or custom, they are cheaper but still carbines
Too bad the Volks can't have it anymore.
Just checked inland-mag.com. All M1 carbon repros have msrp over $1200 and apparently all are out of stock. A rebuild for a regular shooter is much more appealing. And I still wonder if these repros are pieces of shit.
Anybody have experience with Inland repros care to comment?
You bought crs channel's project. Lol
Great video! Really enjoy this series - especially when you share your knowledge of milsurp firearms.
Doesn't look like you are going to survive this pandemic.
Focus you !#$%
I just convinced myself that youre not really a reliable source for information to people that are not that savey.
Well hells bells why don’t you put out some stuff for us to look and for some people maybe drool over because they don’t get out much!!! I’m glad im connected with a lot of different sources to be able to make my own assumptions
