Thanks for watching! Sorry that we didn't show that in detail. There may be some other videos out there showing how to use the jack stands Thanks for watching!!!
You are correct! We should have added brakes during the project. It tows great and is not super heavy, but we do have plans to add brakes in the future. Thanks so much for watching!!!
Seos it lock the axle to the springs somehow - and is there a way to make sure the axle is perpendicular to the trailer centerline so it tracks right? I always wondered about that with these flips.
You made this look really easy. So this type of axle flip keeps the axle "bar" is small enough that just the brackets needed flipping. 🤔 That answers my other question about drain holes. 😮😊
Although you increased the clearance of the bottom of the trailer your axle is the same distance from the ground. How big of a rim and tire can you put on it, and how much will it increase axle clearance?
We increased to a stock jeep wheel and tire. They have a 17 inch wheel and approximately 31 inch tire. It's definitely an increase in clearance over the stock wheel/tire and it looks proportional without being to big or too small. You could probably go to a 33 inch tire easily. Thanks so much for watching!!!
I am converting my 6x12 "cargo trailer to RV" to a straight axle, as I am finding the inside edge of the tires is wearing extremely fast.
I prefer a straight axle, although, there have not been any issues with the flip axle after approximately 6000 miles. Thanks so much for watching!!!
Awesome video.
I wish i could have saw how to get this trailer on jack stands. Im struggling how to do so.

The way they design it allows it to line up, but you still have to measure to make sure it sits even. Thanks so much for watching!!!

Yes, exactly
Towing this with a Jeep it would be recommended to have a straight axel with electric breaks. Upgrade to a 7pin with a brake controller in the jeep.
That's a great suggestion. Thanks for watching!
