The Warning is a rock band from Monterrey, Mexico, made up of sisters Daniela (Dany, 24), Paulina (Pau, 22), and Alejandra (Ale, 20). Dany handles lead vocals and guitar, Pau is the drummer and often takes on vocal duties, and Ale plays bass and provides backing vocals. "Choke" was recorded in 2020 and released in 2021 as the first single from their EP MAYDAY, which featured six songs later included in their 2022 album ERROR. The song addresses the overwhelming feelings of emotional struggle, with Pau explaining that it’s meant to provide listeners a space to process their emotions. Dany added that the music reflects the tension and struggle described in the lyrics. If you're exploring more of their work, check out their Pepsi Center concert in Mexico City from October 2023. This show celebrated their 10th anniversary as a band and included a mix of fan favorites and newer material. Highlights include their live performance of "Hell You Call a Dream" and two songs "Dust to Dust" and "Dull Knives." in one video Another must-see is their performance of "Evolve" at the 2023 MTV VMAs, showcasing their energy and musicianship to a global audience.
Live is their superpower. Anything live from their official channel is great, especially from The Pepsi Center concert. Don't worry about blocking, they don't block if it comes from their channel. They started on social media and they are aware of how important it is to their brand.
You do not need to worry about the copyrights if you react to a video from the official The Warning Channel. They are very positive about people reacting to them. After all their career started on UA-cam.
@@lilyanyan if you look on their UA-cam channel and look at their videos oldest first you will find a cover of Enter Sandman by Metallica, that now has over 26 million views, that’s where they decided that this was going to be their life!
@@lilyanyan You should check out their cover of "Enter Sandman" they did when they were much younger. It went viral and you will enjoy seeing those young girls rock out!
Always nice to welcome a new reactor to The Warning and their fan base. As others have mentioned, their MV’s are great, but they don’t capture their stage presence and engagement with the crowd, the hallmark of their performances. Lots of great recommendations have been made as to where to go next.
Welcome to the rabbit hole! There is no escape (don’t worry, you’ll enjoy it here)! Once you start listening to The Warning you get more and more drawn into their music and just want to hear more. You will learn pretty much everything there is to know about them from reading comments on the videos you are about them, everything from classical piano lessons to the air early MTV videos to their concept album (just their second album written and recorded when they were just teenagers), to their Pepsi Center concert (you’ll get a lot of recommendations for songs from that show) to Hurt. Their fan base, The Warning Army (a.k.a.- TWA) is very supportive, protective and proud of them. You will get plenty of recommendations from us, especially ‘Evolve’ from the 2023 MTV VMA. Pau’s scream of destruction there rivals Daltry in that performance (you’ll know exactly what I mean before long). I would recommend you listen to their cover of ‘Atlas Rise’ at the Whiskey a Go-Go eventually. People will tell you that live is their superpower and suggest that you watch them in concert (and they’re right). Anyway, make yourself comfortable here in the rabbit hole. You have been warned!
Thank you for reacting to The Warning. As has been said, you really can't appreciate them fully without seeing them live. The Pepsi Center concert is their latest and biggest headlining show. Start with Disciple and see if you can resist doing the whole concert. It is a powerful and emotional experience.
A very nice detailed reaction LilYayan, I guess that their collaboration with Band-Maid sparked your interest! It was a very good collaboration song but didn’t really showcase either band in their own style. I am glad that you came back to see The Warning, you definitely will not be disappointed; their real strength is in their live performances, so many bands are great in studio sessions but are often disappointing live, definitely not the case with them. It doesn’t really matter what you choose next but it should be live!
Collaborating with another group is cool but I guess you need to give up a few things to make it happen. However, I look forward to hearing more of both groups' songs!
The Warning Army will soon be on the way. They will give you all the info you could ever want and more. Show them some love with reactions and they will certainly help your channel grow. This is definitely a fan favorite and when you see them live you will see why. Check out this song from either the Teatro Metropolitan or Pepsi Center shows. Their stage presence is second to none. You will find that all of their lyrics are very mature and extremely well written.
Excellent (1 1/2 times) The Warning reaction lilyanyan! The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE" (2018), is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD" (2017), is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND" (2015); and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! Their 4th studio album, KEEP ME FED was released June 28th, 2024. They have released 7 singles: "MORE", "SICK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "AUTOMATIC SUN", "BURNOUT", "QUE MAS QUIERES", and "SIX FEET DEEP". The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Crazy they are 24, 22 and 20 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #57 original songs. They performed 2 songs at the 2023 MTV VMA's. Drummer Paulina begins writing around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. Drummer Paulina won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's 2023 reader's poll. They performed AUTOMATIC SUN at the 2024 MTV EMA's (European) in Manchester, United Kingdom. 4 days later they performed QUE MA`S QUIERES at the 2024 LATIN GRAMMYS in Miami, Florida. Both performances highlighted songs that were nominated for an award. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California, USA. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I met them again at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach California for a CD signing on the day their new album KEEP ME FED was released (June 28th, 2024) and the morning after they performed live on the Jimmy Kimmel show. I saw them again October 8th and 9th, 2024 in Los Angeles with a meet-n-greet on the second night. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. They really shine live: even better than their studio recordings. 🗣 Subscribed! 🤘☺️❤
Loved the reaction! All three ladies shine, and they deserve recognition. This is one of greatest power trios. You have three sisters who play multiple instruments and all three can sing lead (though Ale, the bassist, who we call the unicorn, does so on really rare occasions, by her choice). If you see her sing a part, or lead solo, it's a rare treat. She sings part of this song solo in the live performances. ❤️⚡🤘

Oh and Pau (like pow) is a co-lead vocalist from her drum kit so she's also a center feature live too!! And like Bandmaid they're actually even better live!!! 😉✌
Their Pepsi Center concert is a great journey but their performances of "More" and "Evolve" at the 2023 MTV VMAs, and "Automatic Sun" at the 2024 MTV EMAs are awesome. Part of their power live is their obvious joy when performing. Dany (guitar) is super expressive and Ale (Bass) and Pau (drums) make a lot of eye contact with each other.
Enjoyed your reaction and point of view!! I recommend you watching a live performance by them at the Pepsi Center CDMX(Mexico City). They released 22 songs from that concert, I don’t believe you will find a bad one. I suggest Disciple, the opening song, it will give you an opportunity to listen to both Pau(drummer) and Dany(guitarist) both sing lead. In case you didn’t know, they are 3 sisters from Monterrey Mexico!😊🎶⚡️
