these comicss look realy good. maybe someday i will get at least one. but i wonder why their cutiemarks are on both sides when in make your mark and tell your tale they are only on one side.

Continuity seems to be Gen 5’s biggest weakness
I think a big part of that was that production on the show started before the movie even finished. Thus, the creative teams have had to figure things out as they went along, far moreso than G4.
@@MLPSilverQuillprobably wrong but I thought the G4 planing phase was: we have made toy x, promote at some point, big lines go to final episodes rest whenever
@@playererror4044 That may have been the big CEO perspective (thank goodness Lauren Faust put some more passion into it than that). However, that was all within the confines of a single TV show with a movie and spin-offs much further down the line.
G5's planning feels more like "Let's make new products. We'll start with a big movie then go right into a split presentation set across Netflix and UA-cam with separate production crews and run a comic at the same time. And do it all now!"
Yeah, i didn't mean my explanation of G4 to be an insult. I thought of it more like a writting prompt; so I guess G5 is like giving people like 4 prompts to different people and making them work as a solo story

Is it wrong to say I still miss Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6??? Silver? Anyone? Am I just stubborn?
They were a part of our rhythm for almost 10 years. It's not stubbornness to miss them. I still rely on G4 for a lot of creative expressions.
The trick is to not automatically close ourselves off to new expressions while missing the old. I criticize G5's lack of purpose for its characters, but that's because I think the characters do have potential.

I'd just point out on the question of royal duties, we have seen Zipp tackle several in both the comics and the series, while we haven't seen Pipp do anything that princess-y, so I think that makes for a bit of a new angle for her. Just because she isn't the crown princess that doesn't mean every duty is all going to fall on Zipp.
Also the dynamic of Izzy and Zippy (or Izzy, Zipp, and Pipp) would be far different and I think they want that contrast of Pipp being unenthused and Izzy overenthused. It wouldn't really work if it was Zipp going or tagging along.

G5 was a mixed and low bag and they should have been its own series and not continued many years later after G4

Hey Silver what do you think of doing a analysis or theory video about on the Mane 6 along with Starlight representing the 7 Deadly Sins and here's my opinion on there Deadly Sin each of them ((Twilight: Lust / Rainbow Dash: Pride / Fluttershy: Wrath / Rarity: Greed / Pinkie Pie: Gluttony / Applejack: Sloth / Starlight Glimmer: Envy))
I can see pride and greed affecting Rainbow and Rarity, respectively. Harder time with the others. Maybe their dark counterparts in "The Mean Six", but even then Twilight's only lust was for power.
@@MLPSilverQuill Twilight represent Lust because of her obsessive love over books / Rainbow represents Pride and because of her self achievements and probably her arrogance / Fluttershy represent Wrath despite being a soft pony she's actually a treat if you push her to the limits / Pinkie Pie represents Gluttony because of her indulgence in food as well throwing many party's that involves food / Rarity represents Greed because of her materialistic nature in also maybe being a gold digger / Applejack would represent Sloth because in canon she's a hard working pony but in a different world she be a slacker resting her days in no effort of anything in work or her family / Starlight Glimmer represent Envy because after losing Sunburst that seeing everypony but her having a friend if she can have one than nopony can..so Silver what do you think of it all?
I keep feeling like everyone in the staff of G5 be it make your mark, tell your tale, or the comics keep forgetting things. Like that Sunny is adventurous & is into bring the peace Twilight worked on. Especially when next in it is finding those that have been Allie’s that Twilight help learn friendship & giving it a chance to help their culture.
And let’s not forget that Queen Haven is having Pipp do this princess duty since the wood letter specifically mentions of wanting Pipp to come. Normally it be Zipps duty to do for her training to be queen in doing dignitary, but Pipp doesn’t normally get any princess duties at all since Zipp has been their moms focus for them. So this is kinda Pipps first princess lesson if this is meant to be in the tell your tale connection.
