Long boxes rule and you have done a great job keeping Dales original look while doing great mods and enhancements. You had a vision of what you wanted for the truck and executed it and you love what you've done so far only problem is they are never done even when you say they are.
I’ve seen some late model Silverado LT dropped, it’s subtle but gives it a streamlined look. I like the 2 tone scheme and wheels on yours. If you can lose the camper mirrors and get the smaller chrome mirrors, it will look great. Chip Foose always liked trimming the bumpers to move them closer to the body. It’s very satisfying to see a project exceed your expectations.
I just picked up a 77 GMC shortbed with the gold trim. It’s a old truck it has its flaws but it’s very cool. Factory AC truck/ 350 4 barrel truck full headliner and wood grain interior. The color is mariner blue it’s absolutely my favorite color on one of these trucks. It’s a Sierra classic which is the highest trim level
It’s looking real good Jason .. I agree with you on all your reasons .. tilt will be nice !! Anytime soon do you think dales uk for a big burnout lol !! Does it have a limited slip ? Also I’m really looking forward to the next six fan show with George from nicks garage!! 👍
BTW Over a number of years I think I had 4 or 5 Square Bodies .... starting with the 76 and ending with an 83 3/4 ton. Now I drive a small block swapped S10 standard cab short box with a 700R4. The truck was a 4 cylinder 5 speed when I bought it.
I like long beds. And AC. I like that color also. (I feel like Bobby Bouchet...I like foosball and I like school and I like Vicki and she likes me back!)
I believe 700R4 final drive is 0.8:1 but I also have 3.73 rear gears that tachs at about 2800-2900 at highway speeds. I’d like to see it down around 2200-2300 with a 3.23 or there about!
I bought a new 1976 Scottsdale Montreal Olympic Edition from Bob MacDonald Chevrolet in Halifax. Have you seen or have a picture of one of these ? They came as both a Chevy and GMC. I also remember seeing a Chevelle version ...obviously not a pickup.
I can honestly say I have never seen an Olympic edition 76... But I do remember Bob MacDonald. I worked at one of his dealerships here about 20 years ago.
Hi. thank you for your good videos. I bought a C10 Cheyenne 1978 350 V8. I'm from Europe and I can't find anyone to help me with the car. I will therefore try this path. How to change automatic transmission oil? Just drain the old one and pour the new one into the level indicator? I will replace the seal and filter at the bottom. Does the car have to be warmed up? What is the right procedure, I would not like to mess something up. You understand the car. Thank you for answer.
You are on the right track. There are many videos out there on how to do this and the procedure is the same for anything american made up to the early 2000. Try this video: ua-cam.com/video/DI2JAwOyg0I/v-deo.html

Exactly. We're always tinkering!
Nice truck, I am getting a '77 that same color, but without the 2 tone, can't wait to get it.

Agreed! So in love with this rig!
I have a short box and it's lowered. I. Hate the lowered aspect. I am going to bring in back to stock
I like the long box. I hate the mirrors as well. I am going to change mine to 1982 Camero mirror
Looks good sport mirrors no tono cover and it's perfect
I kept both as not to have holes in the body, but I agree!

Custom deluxe door panels Cheyenne tailgate trim too
Yellow Trim !!!! I’ve also heard you mention making ~13 mpg? What’s your final drive ratio. I am no where close to that with crate 350 and 700r4 also.

I like that color as well. How does that thing ride with the drop????
Other than the lower profile tires, it pretty much rides like a stock 2wd. Floats nicely down the highway!
What size wheels and tires are they? And the backspacing? Thanks
I have a video about this! 18x8 up front, 18x10 in the rear. Both zero offset. ua-cam.com/video/HjBdwRHMx2g/v-deo.html
Do you got a link to the bell tech lowing kit

I love the stance. If you don't mind, what size wheels and tires do you have on Old Dale?
18x8 up front and 18x10 out back. I can’t remember the tire size off the top of my head! But there is a video!
@@OldeCarrGuy Thank you! I will look it up.
