Dropped a 454 in my 76 c10 in high school in 85, piss yellow and green, loaded duel gun rack in the rear window and the usual hay bail in the back, man I miss that truck, so fast.
This Chevy truck was up for sale, sold, wrecked and now alexrebuilds owns this.

i do have a 73 Chevrolet Cheyenne with 454 original engine on it. someday will be something cool too
If the car is gonna be sitting.. take your time to prep the oils, fuel, and coolant lines/tanks/filters.
Save yourself a lot of headache in the future. A lot of people park up perfectly running cars but when they come back years later everything turns to gunk which could have been prevented and saved a lot of money in repairs.

they sold that truck couple years ago , already been totaled.. alex rebuilds bought the wreck sept. 8 2019, and redoing it .

@@JohnnyG10178 NAH he's come a long way on this TRUCK I just got through watching A Video on this particular TRUCK he has got the FRAME put together the ENGINE & TRANSMISSION put on the FRAME along with all of the AIR LIFT SYSTEM REAR END FRONT END he was test fitting the CAB BED & THE FRONT FENDERS HOOD & even made MOUNTING POINTS for the FENDERS to MOUNT to he now is going to take everything back off of the FRAME & have it POWDER COATED & put it back together so it won't be long now before he has it together(IT DOES LOOK GOOD )

Well if you like gas monkey, fast and loud isn't owned by the discovery any more, so Richard is running the show moving forward. Maybe it'll be like the old stuff, maybe it will suck worse. But at least now they can't blame discovery for making them do dumb stuff.

@@matthewthacker3683 Actually when you account for the labor per hour for all of the different ppl involved it adds up quick.(He does have to account for all of that) Throw a team or multiple teams on a vehicle and the dollars go out the window.As a shop owner I now realize this.I used to think the way you guys do but,yeah you're wrong bro.

Likely that old pickup didn't have a title , was prettyed up for TV episode with RR hooping and wheeling, dealing and ranting on some imaginary deadline for some fictional drama at a big auction etc. After tv episode was released the truck was likely disposed of for liability reasons by TV company.

What were they thinking when they took that LIME green c10 with huge chrome wheels to a Texas auto auction!? Those old Texas people want a newer lifted truck or a lifted c10 4wd or literally almost ANY other muscle car or hot rod out there. Doesn't matter how much you spend on it. It's still a lowered c10 lime green with air bags and chrome wheels. What old man has EVER wanted a truck like that lol that is an extremely specific market for that truck here lol

I got a 79 C10 I'm trying to restore. Bought it for $7500. Already painted 3 times still ain't done right. Got new bumpers and mirrors along with grill. I'm in $8000 and I still can't get these damn painters to get it right.

Actually probably no more than $40,000 in materials. Adding in labor no doubt. There is no way a $1,000 truck, striped and modified has $100,000 of mods on it.

They doo most of the labor themselves & a lot of those parts they get it for the low, by knowing people. So $100K is the estimated value. But I’m sure the money & labored they put on it it’s way less.
