I love that Y'all go as environmentally safe as possible, trying 2 take care of yourselves & the planet because every little bit helps ! Hats off 2 Y'all ! ! Your doing a wonderful job ! ! Take care & B safe ! !
Always enjoy the videos, but I think I enjoy watching you all work together as a family more! Thank you for letting us into your world, and I look forward to future videos!
The trim you did looked very nice. I forgot to say on the last video the idea Bree had about putting musical scales on the walls of the recording studio. Come along great guys. (I know it is already done but I just seeing it for the first time.)
opps already left a comment just love this project congrats to all great family hope you see the first comment I left cant wait to see the finishing of this project good luck
this project is so beautiful can not wait to see the finish of this just love it oh by the way to mix your products to use you can use a drill with the a beater of a house mixer great for mixing whatever you wish love your project lovely family
Good job on the sound insulation! If you find the floor squeaks I would suggest liquid nails in addition to the screws. (There is a special method to use in this case but not really important now) Great start to good acoustics.
glad you didn't get the eco white insulation. it was used in my house. in three years i lost 80% volume. so now i'm laying r-30 fiberglass over the compressed eco junk. the blue jean sounds like a great product. i wasn't able to find it in my area..
Ep 9. From all the rains you had problems with the ground settling and the outer wall getting to wet from the rain. Has all that dried like it was suppose too? You had talked about buttresses, what about a small round tower instead, with more cement in the dirt and a flag pole on top?
Hi Linda, the ground was never a problem. The bags themselves were over saturated and we corrected that. Now that the roof is on, everything is working very well. There's an idea in the flag pole....
really great to see your project advance. just one little concern, how hot will those lamps in the ceiling get? because this insulation sure looks inflammable! hope you got some precaution built in
i did the same insulation for my vertical walls in between the studs...cut the bags open using an "x" and use a garden trowel to loosen the fibers...the stuff settles so reapply after a few days, the only cheaper insulation that i know of is packing peanuts.
can't wait till next Friday, need to put liquid nails down with all the vibration from your music may make the floor start to squeak, over all very good work
Just wondering if you had considered the sound transmission from the floor, through the joists, to the ceiling below (and vice versa depending on the sound being generated below? Especially as you've got the OSB screwed into the joists, and the ceiling tiles appeared to be nailed/screwed through the tiles with metal washers? There's very little isolation between the 2 areas, and the movement you're trying to prevent with the securing method is actually what would allow for vibrations to dissipate between the areas rather than propagate. I realise it's too late now, but maybe some rubber/neoprene along the joists and a floating floor, in addition to using some isolation clips on the ceiling.
I have 2 make this odd & strange comment ! I love goats but I just do not care 4 the name they R stuck with ! Goat. & sheep have a more calming name but have just about the same disposition. Just does not seem fair ! ! Your little one R so very cute ! !
I am burning with curiosity: what was Shae listening to? Not trying to be a wet blanket, but NO BARE FEET IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE. Rock out with your jams, but keep your shoes on.
I find it funny how the wife won't buy an expensive window for the roof, yet they spend a few thousand on roofing materials and tongue and groove flooring.

I can see it now. You guys can do local music festival and work with local music groups and stuff. You can turn the studio into a revenue stream.

Alllllllllllllllllllllllrighty then.
Looks like you were using "Trowel and error" on putting the insulation down...LOL
Sorry couldn't help myself.....:P

Her imagination.....
Knee pads help a lot... :-)
If you put that fabric under the plywood, floor wont creek when you walk on it.
Nothing wrong with a little family manual labor on the insulation
Not enough Goofy Diesel!
Trowel and error?
If you don't mind me asking, how to you all support yourself out there financially.
where is garen?
I find it funny how the wife won't buy an expensive window for the roof, yet they spend a few thousand on roofing materials and tongue and groove flooring.
LOL! Do you often pet decaying animals?
$1,000,000.00 idea,
Get rid of the 'muse/art' and just call it, THE STUDIO
sooooo much better, funkier and easier :-)
