I am so proud of you kids. Besides your earthbag house you're following on UA-cam is phenomenal. I found you looking on alternative way to build structures and you kids popped up. I've been watching you guys for a long time and now you're not kids no more you're young adults. your channel just exploded and I just realized it. enjoy your children mom and dad are doing a good job
I stumbled across your site while looking at some other earth bag homes. I have to say that your family is very unique and wonderful. Keep having fun and keep up the good work!
Y'all have worked hard & now U get 2 reap the benefits of your labor ! ! It will B such a fantastic space 2 let your creative juices flow ! ! So awesome ! ! & we get to reap the benefits also by all the video projects that Y'all will make 4 us 2 enjoy using this newest build ! !
We used that foam flooring with our son when he was a toddler to cover up the hard tile surface. It was great but dogs and animals eventually wore it out. But for the price, it is a great solution for comfortable floors. I was thinking about putting it back in because it is comfortable and cheaper than carpeting:) plus, you can just take it up when it gets worn and use it for different things like pads for working on cars, insulation and other things. Our old floors are currently the padding beneath our above ground pool.
I also suggest a floor/wall molding around the glass square in the floor because the foam looks higher than the glass. Plus it will make a good looking frame for the glass.
Wow, this earthbaghousedome is really getting caracter, but no high heels on that floor. If you make the feet of the bed half the size of the surface of one foot each it would hardly make a dent in the floor.I love seeing everything come together.
The Studio Rocks, paw print and all. How was Coma con? Hope we are able to see a bunch of costumes you encountered and the stuff you all wore. Have a great week, cya.
The place is looking really good. and Gary didn't tell everyone that underneath his classes he was wearing contact safety lenses. lol Got to keep those eyes protected you only have the one set. I remember years ago when we was building a metal track at this Factory and I was wearing safety glasses and grinding on metal as Gary was doing.Anyway a Shard of metal flew up under the edge of the safety glasses I was wearing and hit my eye and my eye turned deep deep red thought that I may wind up with permanent damage. luckily the metal was so hot that when it went into the eye being so much colder it contracted around The Shard and pushed it right back out. the way that it came in. so I was very lucky. Remember safety first.

I love the floor!!! This will be great for my basement. No shoes on this floor. I guess it's better to order too much floor and return later or keep for replacement pieces.
love the flooring.... we're all worried about the bed feet...how about larger wooden feet screwed to them to spread the impact point.... great seeing the final touches as they go along....
I noticed that the part of the floor that was stained, is to the back of the room. It looks like a trick of the light, and that corner (of a round room) is deeper in shadow, not off color.
I really like the way the floor looks, but I fear the relatively small feet on the Murphy bed are going to make depressions in the foam once the bed gets some use.
The burlap looks fine because of where it is the sky light tricks your eyes and it looks fine. Great fix on the floor too. You would think a company if they wanted to have return business would put their name on the product.
Absolutely awesome finished product, the dragon is a great center piece amongst many cool little features that you all built into the MusArt Studio as I watched over your shoulders. It was over too quickly (from my perspective at least) but I am looking forward to your next endeavour, whatever it may be. Off to Patreon now to help finance that next chapter, something that I have neglected doing for too long. Cheers from BC.
Wow! Finished! It looks amazing, but, then, I would expect nothing less from you guys. Do you think the foam flooring could survive a soaking and still be usable? We went through three laminate floors in a year due to plumbing breaks in one of my rentals condos.
How much do we have to donate to get you a matching pack of foam tiles to fix that?!?!? >.< You'll drive the internet insane until it matches!!! (Color & orientation)
PLEASE keep us updated on the floor's condition and hold-up to wear. This kind of floor could be excellent for little kids playrooms and for those of us with bad backs and stone/concrete floors.
Do I understand correctly that there are no basement fire exits? Have you checked your foam flooring for possible fire issues (flammability, toxic gases, ...)? Very nice house: but I have this image of someone working long hours alone, in the basement, unaware of a problem upstairs.
Sorry I haven't seen it discussed and I've averaged seeing about every-other episode because of my crazy life. But the expense to build this fortress I'm guessing over-all between $12-$15,000? The man hours worth a lot more. This building will still be here in 200 years I'm guessing. Anyways I've enjoyed watching such a tight knit friendly family working together. Many families can learn from your experiences.
It would be well under that on this one by my guess. The down stairs came from the hole they dug the dirt for brysons room so the cost to dig the hole was already covered, and the ondora(sp?) roofing was donated to them this time by the company in exchange for pictures. Which is cool because they didnt contact the company the company contacted them. So the most costly parts would be the windows and sub roof and top floor. Which considering they spent less then 5k on Brysons room and had to pay for the roofing supplies. I would say this one cost around 8k for them. Which basicly they built a 2 story house this time and not just a small bedroom.
Oh no...that totally sucks about the tiles...smh. What company would change the end so it doesnt line up?....Not good. I love those for the garage or basement though......area's that get wet or are damp, never seen them before...Love..
Not a problem here in the desert. But it should be no different in a wetter climate where other types of structures are built. All buildings must mitigate moisture.
@@mylittlehomestead True dat! And also i've noticed you have A LOT of soil. If I dig 20 cm anywhere on my field I encounter a big fat rock. So no soil no cob. Still one day ill build my dream cob house no matter what. Keep..."rocking"...i guess!?!? :)
floor.looks great but im afraid is not going to last very long. i would sugest laminate is very cheap and would last 10 15 years. but is an amazing project i love it i wish i had the time and the money to do something like this you guys rock !
Bought high grade laminate for kitchen when remodeling our house, just pushing kitchen chairs in and out tore it up terribly. Dogs' nails scratch it, it's less than 2 years old, never buy it again. We're pulling it up and putting in tile or bamboo.
love the color of the downstairs walls, but the upstairs just seem soooooo brown, the walls, the cabinets, even the ceiling are all brown, the outside is so pretty, just seems disappointing going in after the colorful outside, with so much artistic talent ya'll have, it just seems surprising ya'll love brown so much!
I love watching your family work together and come up with all these creative solutions. This project is turning out so great it's really inspiring!

The outside came out s whole lot better than I expected it to. Good job guys. Oh and the inside is coming right along.
I enjoy being able to watch the previous episodes
Yaaaaay the dragon's tail is green and the baby dragons too. LOVE IT!!!
these kids awesome the way they pitch in and help their parents
I stumbled across your site while looking at some other earth bag homes. I have to say that your family is very unique and wonderful. Keep having fun and keep up the good work!
Thank you guys for one of my favorite channels. This is a blast to follow. Really like the floor.
looks like a great place for thanks giving

Love it. You guys are Smeared in Awesome Sauce. Love the floors too.
feels like I accomplish so much just by watching your weekly peeks haha
I absolutely love the flooring!
That is becoming such an awesome space. Great job.
wow...I;m getting a little choked up as this near completion.
More projects to come. Shae's building is next :)
great job all around and y'all are such a good team
I'm loving your flooring!
I also suggest a floor/wall molding around the glass square in the floor because the foam looks higher than the glass. Plus it will make a good looking frame for the glass.
You guys are an amazing family!
I love it! I really like the stain on the walls it has a great cave feel.
the house looks great ..... congrats
That looks really good guys.
"I like the red"
"Me too."
Stains steps grey. lol
I guess I should’ve waiting till the end of the video before commenting. I like the miss-match look.
Also love the Murphy bed!
Floor looks good y'all.
Looks prettyyy prettyy prettyyy good guys. I would definitely like to live in a house like that.
'sweeping youtube' :P. Bree so fun-e! the floor is cool. good idea to use foam flr. looks great.
Wow, this earthbaghousedome is really getting caracter, but no high heels on that floor. If you make the feet of the bed half the size of the surface of one foot each it would hardly make a dent in the floor.I love seeing everything come together.
Just throw a couple of dog beds or a big rag rug where the mismatched floors meet.. all good, and gives dogs place to relax.
I love the floor!
It's really looking great. Cool solution to stain the flooring. Kind of looks intentional like it's a designated spot for seating.
The Studio Rocks, paw print and all.

Just put a sofa over the discolored tiles, nobody will ever notice, and you'll be able to sit right next to fire.

Good point :)
What cha think about drangon footprints in the stairs?
AWESOME YOU GUYS ROCK! The place look so great I'm loving it but sad cuz your almost done hope you have more coming in the future!
Lots more to come! Thanks for your comment and watching! :)
***** Awesome
love the flooring.... we're all worried about the bed feet...how about larger wooden feet screwed to them to spread the impact point.... great seeing the final touches as they go along....
LOOKS GREAT
I noticed that the part of the floor that was stained, is to the back of the room. It looks like a trick of the light, and that corner (of a round room) is deeper in shadow, not off color.
that foam core looks super durable there's no way that's going to be a regrettable decision within 48 months.
I really like the way the floor looks, but I fear the relatively small feet on the Murphy bed are going to make depressions in the foam once the bed gets some use.
Craig Mooring i thought the same!
They can stick some of the extra pieces of floor foam left over on to the feet of the murphy bed, should last a while.
Don't worry. They'll come up with a unique "fix" and film it for us!
Add a square-foot of wood under each foot to displace the weight, better yet, the entire size of one of the foam-floor pieces.
WOW does that floor ever look GREAT! And if the miss match really bugs you toss a rug over it and a chair, hahaha
The burlap looks fine because of where it is the sky light tricks your eyes and it looks fine. Great fix on the floor too. You would think a company if they wanted to have return business would put their name on the product.
Sorry I would notice and it would drive me nuts. Lol.
Always have to follow the groove of the wood.
Looks amazing though.
Nice 👍
I Love you guys! So cute!!
You could put a ladder there going up through the skylight in the floor...gives you another exit in case of fire.
I am glad you liked the idea of the foam floor tiles. It should help with sound deadening .
Great long lasting structure. However, how do you get through zoning and building permits for this non-traditional dwelling space?
Absolutely awesome finished product, the dragon is a great center piece amongst many cool little features that you all built into the MusArt Studio as I watched over your shoulders. awesome guys
Wow! Finished! It looks amazing, but, then, I would expect nothing less from you guys. Do you think the foam flooring could survive a soaking and still be usable? We went through three laminate floors in a year due to plumbing breaks in one of my rentals condos.
Hey try putting felt pads under bed legs.
Like the floor, worst case, if it wears out you have a good surface to toss sim laminate onto.
How much do we have to donate to get you a matching pack of foam tiles to fix that?!?!?
>.<
You'll drive the internet insane until it matches!!! (Color & orientation)
Deal with it, people! ;)
PLEASE keep us updated on the floor's condition and hold-up to wear.
This kind of floor could be excellent for little kids playrooms and for those of us with bad backs and stone/concrete floors.
Will do :)
Thank you.
Just wondering how the foam flooring held up...considering this as an option for my guest bedroom.
Looks great! What brand of foam tiles were the first one you laid down?
You mentioned taking questions in the video, is there somewhere specific that I need to send my questions?
Love it! You all did such a fantastic job! What's your all in total cost? How are the bees? Blessings
You could make a window bench seat over the mismatch floor,
Nice!
Do I understand correctly that there are no basement fire exits? Have you checked your foam flooring for possible fire issues (flammability, toxic gases, ...)? Very nice house: but I have this image of someone working long hours alone, in the basement, unaware of a problem upstairs.
I don't want it to end lol
They have one more bedroom to go
Like the idea with the cross bracket. Thanks for your comments :)
Architecture school changes a man. hahahhahaha
you may not wish to walk on it with high heels or furniture with small feet as it will kinda puncture.
looks great!
awe u left the footprints of the doggies :)
I'd love to learn how to build this!!!
Weirdly enough, i like the lighter, stained flooring more than the original flooring. At least from what i can see of it at 8:23 or so.
my experience with those foam panels dogs and home do not mix. too fun to tear apart
Some of my foam panels can give you a testimony about their canine attacks
NOW I found out how you were going to prop up the Murphy Bed when it's opened.
So does this video mean my guest room is ready for me to move in?
will you consider doing more cooking, farming and ranching videos? Someone should've tickled Shae's feet when she stuck them through the roof! :p
Sorry I haven't seen it discussed and I've averaged seeing about every-other episode because of my crazy life. But the expense to build this fortress I'm guessing over-all between $12-$15,000?

Most of their buildings are 5-7 thousand by cost breakdown. If you had to hire labor it would probably double.
Oh no...that totally sucks about the tiles...smh. What company would change the end so it doesnt line up?....Not good.
I love those for the garage or basement though......area's that get wet or are damp, never seen them before...Love..
You could have used the lighter tiles around the stove and the bed and the top of the stairs as surround accents instead of blending them in.
I hope you fixed the part of the floor where you went the wrong way with the grain it would drive me insane
Family. Did u know dog prints on awalkway is good luck.Love your family.GodBless
great way to make the floor work. my o.c.d. wouldn't allow it tho.
How are these floors holding up?
I was wondering about humidity levels inside a room thats basically made by plastic walls and plastic floor. greetings from italy
Not a problem here in the desert. But it should be no different in a wetter climate where other types of structures are built. All buildings must mitigate moisture.

Should paint the puppy prints black or some other darker color
Anyone with fish tanks?..those foam panels are good to go under your tank if you cannot find polystyrene..
nice
Where do you guys get the sand bag tubing?
Cool building but what is a Muse Art Studio? What will you do there in it?
Downstairs will be the recording studio, upstairs a general purpose art/craft work area. Thanks for watching! :)
Acoustics in circular spaces are incredibly problematic for audio applications
oh yeah, no shoes, floor will hold up longer! Use chanklas ;-)
Whats the deal w the fire holder
that place is ridiculously attractive
How did this flooring hold up? Did you glue it down or just snap it together and it settle?
Just snap
cool

laminate is horrible for sound reflection. Never in a round building!
Does the dragon have wings?

be very careful what you clean it with. my kids used something that ate the finish off. stick with just water
Thanks. Will do :)
Can you carpet an earthbag house?
Sure
I remember you having an ant problem with the fruit plants, "Does the ants dig their way through the earth bags or walls at all?"
We had a small ant thing in Shae’s room. It has been remedied
stain the main flooring darker.... its too light in contrast to the other wood
