This has been the neatest joining method ever. I have done so many varieties of joining methods, but I have now found the method I will always be using. Thanks for a easy to follow tutorial.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much. This was the exact tutorial I needed as I plan out a blanket for my son.
This is just what I have been looking for! I am making a mitered square knit blanket but I am making separate squares instead of joining continuously. Using black or white join was my plan! Thank you so much. Also love your pleasant voice and encouraging instructions!
Thanks so much Janie!
Suggestions for a 2.0 version: Demonstrate using a light colored contrasting yarn, please, and how about a peek at what the underside looks like. Your explanations are very clear. good work!
Thank you so much.
I have knitted 120 squares to make charity blankets to keep people warm & wasn't sure the best to go about it.
Wonderful!
Great video! I've been knitting stst squares since 2016 from my leftovers and needed an easy way to sew them together without a million ends like I would with mattress stitch. Definitely picking up a crochet hook and doing this!
Wonderful! I'm so glad you are going to try it.
Nice, think this will look nice on my project, thanks.
This is perfect, exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Thank you...I have been looking for another way to join knit pieces together.
I love the contrast seam.
Great instructions for both edges.

Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! I have watched so many videos and this was the best explanation. ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Meghan - can you post what it looks like on the back side? I am very interested in this technique. I am new to knitting and have acquired several diagonal knitted squares from an auction and want a way to join them together. It looks like this may be the way but I am interested in the back side. Thanks so much!
Thanks! 😊
Fabulous instructions. Thank you. 🙂
What does the back looks like? I love the technique!❤❤❤
Can you share a tutorial on how you made your black and white squares?
I can add it to my list to make.
💯👍Sieht klasse aus
How did you cast off? Or did i miss it???
Thanks Meghan. Very easy to follow no doubt about it. One question though- at the end of one column I have to cut the wool to start joining next column, right? Pls confirm as I don’t see any other way to continue without cutting at the and of row or column!
Yes that is correct. You’ll fasten off after each column.
Reverse side view?
Does the back side look the same as the front side?
No, the back side will look slightly different. It is the reverse stockinette stitch and wont show the little v stitches.
Why didn't you show the back side. I would like a join that looks the same front and back.
Me too!
Will this work with double knit squares?
I think it will.
I did this method with double knit squares. It is a little different, but still has the same finish. Edit: this is my new joining method. Works well with double knit squares.
@@maxineleibowitz5367 thank you so much. Have been looking for so long for this method!!

in one minute you said at least 30 'UMS" it was difficult to watch the video.
