Great idea for an episode-- and, maybe, it's the only way that you two can get around to playing some of those games that you've always meant to try. Hopefully this will become a series. I really enjoy hearing loose/off-the-cuff impressions within the first couple of hours of play.
Hi super great American video game enthusiast friends! Just wanted to check in with my favorite Colorado guys and let you know that your UA-cam entertainment video productions are, as always, keeping my bowels healthy and regular! I was just watching this superb display of human friendship while doing the dumping and there was red in there! Yikes! I thought that perhaps my uncontainable enjoyment of your hit internet series had finally blown a blood vessel in my dung bucket, but in fact it was just the red Gatorade I had consumed to refresh myself today! Crisis averted! All thanks to your powerful friendship! America and video games are awesome! Goodbye for now!
Yet another excellent video..that has kept me up past normal sleeping hours! GUN is an amazing game and in my opinion quite underrated...def. in my top 5 ps2 games.
This is such a great idea...and it's something collectors deal with in terms of their own collections. I am down for tons more of this type of episode.
Great idea for a video guys! Every gamer has a backlog that haunts them. Another great topic to make a series of vids out of. All your videos always introduce me to at least one or two games I've never seen before and would want to try out, thanks for all the quality content!
Gun is one of my favorite games on the PS2. I wish you would have mentioned the all star cast (Thomas Jane, Chris Christopherson, Lane Hendrickson, Ron Pearlman etc.) and all the references to classic Western movies in the levels, and the game is way more fun and intense on the Hard setting. I really loved that game.
Thank you, Game Sack. You consistently put out quality videos. They have great production value, use obscure games, have interesting review commentary, and great humor. We appreciate it. Keep them coming
I hope there's another back log video, I'm going through all your episodes in order till I have watch them all. Love this show that much. Keep up the good work lads. 175 episodes down, god knows how many more :)
15:00 OMG that game! Me and my brother would play 2v2 or battle royale with a 4 cabinet set up at the arcade every weekend when I was younger. That place would get packed. Also, the boss spawns after you kill enough of the smaller enemies, or eventually if you're just slow.
Toe Jam & Earl 3 actually looks a lot cooler than i was expecting. I actually want to buy it now after seeing that. It's for sure gotta be better than the horrid panic on funkatron one that was a 2d platformer.
Spawn: In The Demon's Hand and Powerstone 2 was all myself and my friends ever played back in the day. Countless hours kicking each others assess from dusk till dawn. Such good times.
This is something the young folks out there don't seem to understand when it comes up, usually about why i don't play RPG's with tons of grinding. The (gaming) struggle is real.
Yeah same here. I've been wanting to play Lunar SSS so bad, but it's hard after a long work day. Not like when i was a kid and could throw in a solid 30 to 40 hours in an rpg in a week or so, lol.
Out of all of the games that I have finished Shape Shifter was one of the more challenging games for me. That final boss took me a while to finally defeat.
The random games episodes are some of my favorites. The end was hilarious. Reminds me that we always had that one friend with sweaty palms when gaming together and when they pass it off you're like did you lick the controller? Then you had friends who licked controllers...
As has already been said, great idea for an episode, guys! I hope to see more like it. It's the perfect reason for you guys to play games that you haven't gotten around to playing yet, and if you guys haven't played a game before, it's very likely that it'll be new to me (and just about everyone else) too. :)
I loved Gun, such a great and underrated game with a really impressive and atmospheric soundtrack. I remember getting it for Christmas back when it first came out, I spent all day in my room playing it. Too bad they never made a sequel.
Love this episode idea! I have an original Xbox that I picked up last year with about 20 games; 19 of those games are part of my backlog. Of course, that's only the beginning of my backlog...
Omg yea Gun! Still one of my absolute favorites ever. It was one of the first games for my 360 that I actually hooked up to a sweet HD computer monitor after playing on a CRTTV and omg! It was like night and day!
Part 2 absolutely! I liked, I am commenting now, and I have been subscribed for years! I know it was a joke at the end, but I got a good laugh out of that and the reaction that Joe had when Dave said it. Keep up the excellent work guys! :) Big fan from Massachusetts, USA.
Yea more backlog videos would be awesome. My backlog just keeps growing, but I figure if I can at least get around to playing a good amount of a game then I'm happy. The ones I never even tried yet or the ones that are still sealed breaks my heart. I think it's an interesting topic
That track in the credits, Tobal 2 - The Speeder, is so catchy!! i love some of the cool tunes you all have introduced me to. My uncle had that game when it came out and i was a teen, and i always wanted it after loving the first one but i didn't have a jp ps1. I need to get one and relive the memories.
I feel this so hard, I actually just got all my games out of storage, nothing compared to you guys collections but I'm going to play through all of my damn games,
Great episode. I think we all have a few games like this, buy them and then not remember to play them. I played Gun with my younger cousin all the time when I was younger. It was really a great designed game. The world felt so open and vast, but still there was so much to do in each town and along the way. We were pretty young to be playing the game. I remember being able to purchase escorts and the story got pretty racist at times. I think we had to mute the sound during cutscenes! The horses controlled as well and needed and it was enjoyable controlling them. The races were great.
Look forward to a part 2 you guys seemed to enjoy playing some games you haven't had a chance to. Who knows maybe you'll actually get through your back log.
I thought this was going to be commentating on your litural backlog of videos for some reason. Glad it ended up being a fresh episode of just games that were stuck in your backlog of catchups.
Thanks for another video. I look forward to these on Sunday mornings. 1.) Get out of bed. 2.) Get coffee. 3.) See if Game Sack has a new video. 4.) If they do, watch immediately. :D
Owned Castle in the Darkness since it came out. Played it for 5 minutes and loved it, but I just don't have time to play more. Soundtrack is freaking amazing.
Great episode and great topic too, guys. I (and I imagine many others)have a pretty big back catalog.( Some dating back to my PS2, Digital Devil Saga 2 to be exact.)Would love to see a part two. Also, thank you Dave for enjoying Legend for what it is. I thought I was the only person who really liked that game.
I know you guys probably receive a million episode suggestions, but here's one more: I loved the Renovation games episode, It brought up so many great memories for me. I would love it if you did an episode on Compile. In my book they could do no wrong back in the day. They never made a bad game, and these days they do not get the recognition they deserve. The Guardian Legend is one of my all-time favorite NES games. All of their games are excellent.
I've seen used copies of GUN for all three consoles of the time countless times and had never really heard about what kind of game it is before this video. It does sound like something I would have loved back in the day. If I ever see it again, I will definitely pick it up.
Great video guys! Love it when your review multiple games on lots of platforms. if your like me you can do these video forever I think I have at least 600 gamecube titles ive never played!
Great episode! I was really impressed with the parallax scrolling in Shapeshifter, especially considering the Turbo only has one background layer natively. TJ&EIII is kinda fun but also very annoying later in the game when it's swarming with enemies and each and everyone has a voice sample. I have yet to beat it with my friend.
Definately my favorite thing to watch. Been following this channel for a long time now. This was a great idea and episode. Toe Jam 3 actually looks pretty solid. I am not into collecting in games at all. Which was huge during the n64 period. So I did not really get into those games. I was more on playstation. Toe Jam and earl looks like something id like to check out though, because I loved the original and owned it back then. The style was very unique.
Great idea for an episode-- and, maybe, it's the only way that you two can get around to playing some of those games that you've always meant to try. Hopefully this will become a series. I really enjoy hearing loose/off-the-cuff impressions within the first couple of hours of play.
Exactly! It forces us to play those games we otherwise might not have time for!
This is pretty much what I was going to comment but you beat me to it - this is such a great way to play games you never thought you had the time for!
+Game Sack great premise. all of us have games we may not have played before. I'm inspired to explore my steam library.
I'd say a Part 2 of this episode would be cool to see. awesome video as always.
Maybe its the only way to admit causal felation ...... of egos?
I have a backlog of about episodes 1-174 of Game Sack that I have to catch up on...
It won't take long. ;)
And it'll be totally worth it. :)
That's only about 3 straight days worth of video. You can do it in a weekend!
Right on man; welcome to the club.

Yet another excellent video..that has kept me up past normal sleeping hours! GUN is an amazing game and in my opinion quite underrated...def. in my top 5 ps2 games.
Completely reviving this thread but I tried GUN after seeing this video and it was AWESOME, I completed everything in the game.
This is such a great idea...and it's something collectors deal with in terms of their own collections. I am down for tons more of this type of episode.
that spawn game was amazing. Capcom did a great job making a fun action game
Great idea for a video guys! Every gamer has a backlog that haunts them. Another great topic to make a series of vids out of. All your videos always introduce me to at least one or two games I've never seen before and would want to try out, thanks for all the quality content!
Thanks for watching!

Would love to see more of this, lots of hidden gems can creep out from behind the backlog.
really cool episode and idea. would love a part 2 and beyond.
This was a good episode and I'd love to see another episode of it.
I bought Bully on 360 a year ago and still haven't gotten around to playing it.
Gun is such an excellent, underrated game.
That it is, but quite short.
It's a very good precursor to Red Dead Redemption. Highly underrated.
For real. I liked that poker game you could cheat in
It looks like Red Dead Redemption Lite. Not a bad thing if you want a similar experience.
+Brad Tyler What are you, 12? It looks great for a PS2 title and it's a helluva lot of fun.
I hope there's another back log video, I'm going through all your episodes in order till I have watch them all. Love this show that much. Keep up the good work lads. 175 episodes down, god knows how many more :)
That was great. Definitely do a part 2!
Aaaand that's it...just caught up watching episodes 1-181 in order. Took about 2 1/2 weeks while watching @ work.
Thanks for the entertainment!
This was a fun low key episode, and I hope you do more. Thank you guys.
Great episode as usual. Please consider a part 2 soon.
Yes thanks game dads you're the best
15:00 OMG that game! Me and my brother would play 2v2 or battle royale with a 4 cabinet set up at the arcade every weekend when I was younger. That place would get packed. Also, the boss spawns after you kill enough of the smaller enemies, or eventually if you're just slow.
Also should say, I wake every Sunday morning looking forward to a new video. You two are great! Just two guys doing what they so, love it dudes.
Best feeling is waking up sunday morning and see that there is a game sack episode. Best feeling ever
Great episode! I'd love to see another backlog episode.
"That's a bold move, Colton. Let's see if it pays off."
Well played, sir.
Toe Jam & Earl 3 actually looks a lot cooler than i was expecting. I actually want to buy it now after seeing that. It's for sure gotta be better than the horrid panic on funkatron one that was a 2d platformer.
Great show, you guys! I loved seeing some of your backlog. Definitely want to see future videos like this.
it would be great to see a sequel to this episode sometime, thanks gamesack!
Did you survive COVID?
Spawn: In The Demon's Hand and Powerstone 2 was all myself and my friends ever played back in the day. Countless hours kicking each others assess from dusk till dawn. Such good times.
Man my backlog is crazy but working 50 to 60 hr a week and just life in general will do that.
This is something the young folks out there don't seem to understand when it comes up, usually about why i don't play RPG's with tons of grinding. The (gaming) struggle is real.
I agree 100%
Yeah same here. I've been wanting to play Lunar SSS so bad, but it's hard after a long work day. Not like when i was a kid and could throw in a solid 30 to 40 hours in an rpg in a week or so, lol.
you can ealy still kind of do that its called moticvation and being gamer which aprently u no longer are sir
i work 5 days a week and still have 20- 40 hours of gaming a week u sir are a slacker
Do a part 2!
I have SO many games that I have yet to get around to playing. I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one.
Thanks for another great episode guys! Definitely my favorite retro gaming channel on YT.

I haven't had time to play "my dingus" but now this show has inspired me. I'ma play it all day.
I loved Gun, such a great and underrated game with a really impressive and atmospheric soundtrack. I remember getting it for Christmas back when it first came out, I spent all day in my room playing it. Too bad they never made a sequel.
Loved that skit. Can't wait for parts 2, 3, and 4 .
Backlog is like infinity. You think you just caught up....and boom new games everywhere
Yes, more backlog eps! It's inspiring me to get through mine!
I still have Xenosaga 1, 2 and 3 from when I got them back in..... 2010? I'm told they are huge time sinks so I keep putting them off.
Love the ep btw
The Xenosaga games are fairly regular JRPGs in length, but they do have excessively long cutscenes. Also, Xenosaga Ep 2 is a real slog to get through.
+Daniel Carreira You are correct, but it certainly feels the longest of the three.
all thoose suck compaired to xenogears
I just finished those three last year.
Nice skit at the end. I freaking love it.
Love this episode idea! I have an original Xbox that I picked up last year with about 20 games; 19 of those games are part of my backlog. Of course, that's only the beginning of my backlog...

you guys should do a part 2 to this. there are 10-15 games i havent got around to either. keep up the good work guys!
So rad! I was the one who sold you Shape Shifter at the Portland Retro Gaming expo. Glad you finally got a chance to play it!
Awesome idea for an episode / series! I love game sack!
My backlog makes my sack shiver in fear and shame.
I love waking up on Sunday with a full sack.
I really love this idea guys, hope we can see a part 2
Another great episode guys, looking forward to Bluray Volume 2!
yes! part 2 would be awesome. love this episode.
That scream at the end.. beautiful.
Never even knew about Toe Jam & Earl 3, thanks guys :) . A part 2 of your backlogs would be welcome!
you guys rock!! so so glad I found this channel. best gaming channel in my opinion.
Do more of this! Great episode, thank you.
Please, don't ever stop making skits :)
fantastic episode. I love these unusual topics, it keeps the show fresh
"My mom says you're my dad and you owe us some money"
Holy shit.
Yea more backlog videos would be awesome. My backlog just keeps growing, but I figure if I can at least get around to playing a good amount of a game then I'm happy. The ones I never even tried yet or the ones that are still sealed breaks my heart. I think it's an interesting topic
Don't be so hard on yourselves, this skit was actually one of your best. :D
That track in the credits, Tobal 2 - The Speeder, is so catchy!! i love some of the cool tunes you all have introduced me to. My uncle had that game when it came out and i was a teen, and i always wanted it after loving the first one but i didn't have a jp ps1. I need to get one and relive the memories.

love this episode. make a series of ithis one if you have enough content. btw the skit was one of the best yet, seriously lol
a backlog episode....brilliant!
Of course a second episode would be good! I'd happily watch you guys talk about dirty dish water for 30 mins.
Please keep doing these backlog videos. I want more. Also Joe, your beard is looking glorious.
Another great episode guys, a lot of these I've never seen before.
Look forward to a part 2 you guys seemed to enjoy playing some games you haven't had a chance to. Who knows maybe you'll actually get through your back log.
Nice Dodgeball Refrence.
"That's a bold move Colten, lets see if it pays off".
Enjoyed this and wouldn't mind seeing more. I would love a just Dreamcast backlog episode too!
I thought this was going to be commentating on your litural backlog of videos for some reason. Glad it ended up being a fresh episode of just games that were stuck in your backlog of catchups.
I really dug it...I'd really like to see another one of these.
Thanks for another video. I look forward to these on Sunday mornings. 1.) Get out of bed. 2.) Get coffee. 3.) See if Game Sack has a new video. 4.) If they do, watch immediately. :D
The themed shows are always great, but I really like these occasional random game episodes.
Owned Castle in the Darkness since it came out. Played it for 5 minutes and loved it, but I just don't have time to play more. Soundtrack is freaking amazing.

Love the theme song! It makes me happy
Good episode, and that end skit was great!
I really liked this episode. u guys should do another one of these.
Hope to see a part two of this episode.
This has got me thinking of all the games I have, but never played. There just simply isn't enough hours in the day!
I know you guys probably receive a million episode suggestions, but here's one more: I loved the Renovation games episode, It brought up so many great memories for me. This episode looks like you guys had the most fun and it is more fun for us to see it :D
I love this show so much, and I mean that from the bottom of my sac.
Part 2 please... Oh yeah and great job on the skits I watched them all on other channel. Funny as hell
I've seen used copies of GUN for all three consoles of the time countless times and had never really heard about what kind of game it is before this video. It does sound like something I would have loved back in the day. If I ever see it again, I will definitely pick it up.
Great episode. I loved GUN when it was first released.
Great idea! I have a lot of games in my collection that I have to touch
Great video guys! Love it when your review multiple games on lots of platforms. if your like me you can do these video forever I think I have at least 600 gamecube titles ive never played!
would love to see a part 2 of this.
Lol that skit was great. Great video guys.
Looks like you guys really had a good time with this one. Great video!
Great idea for that show, looking forward for a 2nd part. :)
What Legend makes so impressive is the Fact that this Game is made from just only two People.
Great episode! I was really impressed with the parallax scrolling in Shapeshifter, especially considering the Turbo only has one background layer natively. TJ&EIII is kinda fun but also very annoying later in the game when it's swarming with enemies and each and everyone has a voice sample. I have yet to beat it with my friend.
please do a part 2, loved this video
