Looks like I’m on a Christmas Angel kick lately….I just keep finding cute ideas to DIY! This angel DIY is a hanger angel so it’s a large piece perfect for outdoor Christmas décor as well as inside. It’s easy to make and looks amazing!!! The items can all be found at Dollar Tree making this a very inexpensive DIY for sure! You gotta love Dollar Tree Christmas DIYs!!

1 White Mesh Garbage Can
1 Pack of Zip Ties
1 Large Christmas Pick
Mesh Tubing (typically used for wreath making)
Small Ornaments or Embellishments

I cant thank you enough for this idea! Christmas for me has ALWAYS been a holiday I love to celebrate! As a child we NEVER had Christmas except for one time my brother and I each got 6 candy canes each. So when I had my own Children I vowed to God to first ALWAYS make Christmas about Christ, second to teach my children that it's the giving that is the true gift and of course lastly to strive to be JUST like the Griswalds😁 However between my husband and I fighting for his Social Security for over 7years now!(he is a Veteran but was hurt at his job) being blessed with our daughter who is now 5years old and is extra-abled(I hate the term disabled...she is anything but!) With autism. So between taking care of her and my husband I have had to stop working full time. And now to top it all off Covid 19 which feels as though it will never go away, things have been more than tight financially. And I KNOW millions of other families are experiencing similar circumstances. So our budget for decorations this year is around $20 and that I decided to spend on all DIY crafting supply refills. I have pulled out EVERY strand of lights I could find which was ALOT to my surprise but once I combined them to make them work I was left with around 100ft of lights. Our house was not feeling very festive until I thought of checking UA-cam for CHEAP or FREE easy outdoor decorations. Thank you thank you thank you! This is more than just a DIY craft.... it now represents our Christmas spirit and hope for a better year. You are doing a wonderful job and You will be in my prayers tonight as I thank God for showing me to your ideas! God bless and Happy Holidays! To you and everyone. Please stay safe!💚❤💚❤

This was a awesome project to do with my granddaughter,especially on the snow day we are having. I have each girl a part to do then we put it altogether,each one picked a decoration and we assembled it. They just loved it. All that is left is lights which q will pick up later.☺

I didn't have the white trash can to make her face (love the look of yours) BUT, your idea inspired me to use a simple round lace doily that I back with white cardboard. I'm very happy that I purchased enough hangers to make TWO OF THEM 😊. I'll be using them outside, under my covered porch. Thanks again, so much fun !!!

I actually made the Star for my neighbor last year. My fur baby just died recently, so I'm going to make an Angel for her, "Gizmo" she was my best friend and companion for the last 14 years, this will be my first Christmas without her all that time. I will use the baby sized hangers and lights, and hang some Doggy toys on it...... Thank you for this wonderful video!!!! (P.S. My neighbor loved the star I made for her last year! )
I'm so sorry to hear that. My dog is 12 and a half and has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and cancer but I'm loving him to health as long a I can. I can't imagine not having him. What a lovely tribute this will be to your sweet fur baby!

Hi Elaine, this is so beautiful, when I get back on my feet I am going to give it a try. Wow Elaine, this is a substantial sized angel for very little cost, and the lights and embellishments make it look so beautiful. If you had the space you could make a few of these, but spray paint the hangers in silver, gold, rose gold, as well as the white. This was a brilliant tutorial, I’m going to look for the snowflake now. xxxx

Am I the only one that sees a perfect space to hang a wreath in the hexagonal area of the dress? ( where the red balls are hanging) and imagine adding one of those dollar tree faux candles within the greenery she is "holding".....and while I'm imagining,...lol how can we make her a halo....that mesh tubing has possibilities....got my cogs turning.

Maybe wrap gold or silver Garland around a wired hanger and make it into the shape of a halo and leave a long piece of the wire to hook it to the grated area of the head,(using zip strips should hold it ok if you use a few) then cover it with thick yarn pieces for the hair, that way you dont see where you hooked it on.
ps, they also sell the cheap floral wire at the dollar store(better then the hanger, lightweight and you start off with wire that's not a preshape like the hanger. This is what I'll be doing for mine.😁 hope that gives some sort of ideas for you. Happy holidays🎄❄🎁

Wow! I watched other videos on how to do this. I am impressed with your time and patience to drill holes in the hangers. They look much more sturdier and it actually looks fantastic! How awesome is that!!! I love your version.🤗🤗🤗

Love this angel! I'm already thinking on what else I could use for embellishments.
I used a heated needle to make a hole in mine when I made my snowflake. Dollar tree carries different hanger styles I had to go back to get matching ones. I made several snowflakes, one with the kids one with the adult I put snowflakes on one and painted rusty use it year round. Lightly painted the blue with white paint looks like a soft blue frozen Ice. The. I made a star. I’m addicted to this stuff lol.
