My grandma did that also. If you out crushed ice in the container before pouring the hot wax it makes beautiful high end looking candles. Take some food coloring and just put a few drops in sparingly. They will drip down . When you cut the carton off, the result is beautiful. You can use whatever color food coloring you want, or do different colors. Play around. They end up gorgeous !!
My grandmas, aunts, mom all did the waxy square cartons with ice, placing a used taper candle in the center cuz back when we had real lit candles on the table for holidays! The ice ..they placed the plastic flowers up against the sides, usually the Pointsetta for Christmas..placed cracked ice cubes up against..made by cracking ice cubes with a hammer while ice was wrapped inside a bread wrapper wrapped in a towel. Plastic bags just came out but were too expensive to buy let alone waste !! So ice filled the container, holding the flowers in place. Taper in center. Melted canning wax with color from old candles all melted, poured over ice making the prettiest holiday candles! Old school glass glitter used too !! I remember one of Grandma's paper boys went around selling them for few dollars people would give..usually $3 or $5 most people tipped $5 at Christmas to paperboys who could also buy a calendar from the newspaper with their name on it..these brought joy as it was reuse items found around the house.
I did that, too, as a child in school……probably about the same time as your Aunt Martha.. I am sure my parents were amazed to see that as a Christmas project 🤪
Candle. My Great-Aunt used the napkin/candle trick but idk how she did it. She made so many crafts and showed me many but not all. I miss her. She really made the holidays special. She was a very talented lady & an awesome cook & dessert/cookie maker too. She self-taught herself to decorate cakes her flowers especially her pansies and violets looked so real.
Candle 🕯 🕎 🕯. Love ❤️ love watching 👀 you and all of your amazing DIY crafts. Thanks for sharing them, and a big thumbs up 👍 to you for sharing your creative genius skills. I love the glass you purchased at the Dollar Tree that had little dots all over. First thing I thought of was painting them white and they look just like milk glass.
I got lucky and found the LED candles at the Dollar Tree (got 5 and wish now I had gotten more) and a pack of 3 at the Dollar General for $5 (I got 2 of those). They'll come in handy for many occasions, especially if/when the power goes out.
Love ur vids U can also make ur tall thin candles stand by dripping some wax n t holder and 😊quickly pressing t bottom of the candle down and holding it till it cools and hardens
Just a suggestion you might want to fill the bottom base with sand or something to weigh it down so it is less likely to tip over, especially the one with 3 vases!
Liz supposedly you can put a dab of hot glue or super glue under the wicks metal bottom then stick it inside the bottom of candle mold. It's suppose to keep the wick from sliding around the bottom of the melted candle🕯️wax. However I don't think I would use super glue on the bottom of a silicone mold 😏. I'm wanting to make some candles🕯️now (thanks) & don't have the patience to fiddle with a misbehaving wick. Hope it works ☺️.
Sadly I will have to walk by these, why, because we have the worse dollar stores ever here in Nevada. Never ever do I see 80% Of these items seen on you tube. Our loss, too darn bad, I pretty much stop going to my two stores knowing will not find these great items. Do enjoy seeing what other areas are fortunate to be able to buy.

70 years ago my Aunt Martha used the waxed milk cartons to make square candles. She whipped melted paraffin to frost them. She was a diy diva!💕👍

Candle… it was a nice project

Those small white dishes I have seen in theift sto4es & yard sales, flea markets around me, must be a common design// pattern

You need a pot with a spout! 😊
Candle ❤
I miss the old Home Interior rubber that went around, held candles in place.
Candle💙
When you put candles in the freezer, it is supposed to slow the burning down. That's why they don't drip.
The candle print is pure genius. You make Meghan Markle sticking mint on a cake look like a hack!
3:16 where u got that mirror?❤️😍
I think this mirror is from Walmart.
Would, you freeze the tapered candles before you ironed the napkin on them or after?
Good question.
Candle- can you burn the candles that you ironed on paper??
Candle ❤❤❤. The tea light candle holder was originally from a set of three, from Princess House ❤
Candle😊
You can’t use a wooden clothes pin to hold the candle wick while the wax dries. I liked the different candle holders you made.
Can I safely burn the candles with the napkin melted onto it?
Candle 🤍

Candle. Instead of parchment paper try wax paper. It works gor me really well.
5k from 1 million
@7:30 Not safe. Top heavy.
Why do all of these crafters never have a new tube of 6000? I'd buy 3 or 4 at a time to not run out.

I’d like to see more soy candles. The others leave soot on the walls.
So do soy candles. Source: I clean houses.
