It was the Long Range bombardment ship from Armada 2 (Maybe 1 as well, never played that one). There're a couple in the fleet in First Contact fighting the Borg Cube.
@@JustSomeBodisOpinionfrom what Trek Culture tells me, Passaro was also heavily involved in cleaning up and updating the Steamrunner class for modern television.
According to one of the producers, it's actually a smaller variant on the Steamrunner called the _Sabrerunner_ class. Personally, I dig it. Starfleet could use some smaller vessels that aren't glorified space minivans like the _Oberth_ class.
They did it again. 4 for 4, a perfect season finale. And we finally reached a solid conclusion to Mariner’s series-long character arc.
She’s finally choosing to move forward and move on from Sito’s death. She’s HEALING.
AND it’s an inversion of what happened to her in Season 3. This time, the whole crew was ride-or-die in saving her.
The flashback was perfect. We saw the idealistic, wide-eyed cadet that she used to be… before Sito’s death and the Dominion War broke her.
But hopefully… with her resolution this season, she can take steps toward regaining that former part of herself.
Also, BOIMLER GOT TO BE ACTING CAPTAIN! And Tendi… she made a noble, heroic sacrifice just to get her friend back…

I have to admit this Star Trek Lower Deck Season 4 turn out be the best as Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford became Lieutenant Junior while facing a lot of challenge. Every episodes are great but I am a little dsappointed that the writer never made an episode featuring Mariner and Jennifer at all in fact in episode 8 I was expecting Jennifer to join in the mission with Mariner so she could work things out with Mariner by amending this misunderstanding back in season 3 and be just friends but I have been told that it will happen in next year Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 which it would mean that we will have to wait until next year😒.
The final episode of Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 is good except for Tendi to leave the Cerrito to return to her home planet Orion but watching at the end of the episode feels more like a cliffhanger because Tendi looks like she's turning evil after seeing her eyes. Well we're going to have to find until next year to see if Tendi will return to Cerritos and her friends.
Yes there’s been a distinct lack of Jennifer! But I do love the movement of their character arcs.. can’t wait for S5!!
Honestly? I suspect the writers got a signal to dial back the gay content. They scrapped Seven/Raffi in Picard's third season too. Last couple years saw an intense wave of legislation against the queer community in the US, painting them as "groomers" (ie pedophiles), etc, companies that did Pride stuff getting harassed. I think sadly the shows a decision to go with the political currents.

I don't know if D'Erika is the actual enemy here. All of the stuff that came before might just be to show the other families the Tendis aren't about to become a Federation puppet. And hey, she did wind up giving the crew exactly what they needed!
This season was the best, it's sad to see Tendi leave the Cerritos and the others. I am very curious about what she meant by "You've got this.". Either she plans to change the Orion ways one step at a time or has a plan to get back with her friends. Regardless, I know she isn't planning anything evil.
Her sister is crazy I'm starting to see why some of these Royles join Starfleet Tendi is going to get away from her.
She's taking over Orion. Let's not pretend she's doing anything else (Her "I'm pirating" music was playing fer crying out loud).

You're right that Locarno being the Big Bad was somewhat anticlimactic. (I was secretly still holding out for Whale Probe people.) But honestly? I think it suits the show. Lower Decks isn't supposed to be about the big galaxy-shaping things. It's about the relatively minor threats, the egotistical computers and the planetary-scale threats that could still wreck somebody's day. A single warlord in a single system feels about right for them. And hey -- can't say it wasn't a surprise, right? 😁
In general, I was a big fan of this episode and this season. I really liked how they wound up tying it in to the TNG "Lower Decks" episode. Here's hoping for more sooner rather than later. TTFN, take it easy!

There's also another theory that Mariner actually partly grew up *on* the _Enterprise_-D. Someone's even found a kid who appears in a TNG Season 1 episode. Presumably, this is where her mom served with Riker, who had that whole thing about calling her his _cha'Dich._
Tendi may have promised Tendi 2 she’d come back. She did not say in what capacity, nor did anyone specify for how long she had to stay.

I'm a bit surprised you were a bit down on this finale! I thought it was almost perfect. The big bad being "just Locarno" was about right for Lower Decks. This is the story of the junior officers on a measly support ship. If anything, it would have been better if the entire major threat was taken care of by the likes of Titan, Vancouver, and Enterprise...and we just followed the character stories of our lower deckers.
Haha I thought it was good! Just that I may have hyped to myself any Section 31 involvement 🤣🙈

IMHO, it sounds like Mariner was a freshman in the first scene. She'd be about 17, 18.
I enjoyed the finale. I like how so many different things that have happened in previous episodes came back in this episode. I enjoyed the connection to the TNG episode Lower Decks as well since I know that’s the episode of TNG Mike has said inspired him to create this show. I’m definitely looking forward to the next season because of what’s been set up in this episode as well as the other loose threads still dangling (like the Section 31 plot point you mentioned).

I saw 4 ads during my watch (which is pretty normal when I watch your videos). They were all short (around 5 seconds) and unskippable (so basically the type of ads I don’t mind because they’re short, quick, and to the point so they don’t feel like interruptions; conversely unskippable longer ads be they on UA-cam or some other video streaming service annoy me and I’ve made it a point to keep track of the companies because I don’t want to reward such annoyances with my money….especially since it’s obvious that 2-5 second ads are possible; if the long ads are skippable after 2-5 seconds then I don’t mind because I am given the choice to watch in full or move on…like I seriously got ride of television so why companies would think I want the same ads that come on TV while on the internet is beyond me. I’m happy with simple, quick, ads be they something I scroll by and see why scrolling along social media, see a banner of while scrolling to read a website, the quick 2-5 seconds of video on UA-cam, or within what I’m watching like how companies advertise in sports stadiums; if a company can’t get their name out there in 2-5 seconds then I’m honestly just not interested and stop listening anyways. I go to my mom’s house and see all these long ads on tv stations and wonder if anyone actually pays that much attention because at my mom’s house the tv is usually on for background noise; also annoys me when Paramount+, Disney+, and Peacock show ads for their own shows….like I’m on the app already if I wanted to know about the show I could just go watch the trailer….it’s an app on my phone not a tv and it’s a streaming service not a broadcasting service, the entire point is that I get to pick and choose what I want to watch when I want to watch it and it’s annoying that so many streaming services keep treating it like tv….the thing I literally stopped paying for and using; it’s like they’re just trying to make me want to watch only UA-cam, which remains my most used streaming service, or Twitch or TikTok; likewise I find social media apps that want to be everything annoying, too. I like having different apps that do different things. I’m not looking for an all-in-one app, all-in-one website, etc. I already don’t enjoy going to Walmarts because the company decided it needed to try to be an everything store. There’s a reason shopping malls work but big box everything stores suck and it comes down to experience; when people try to make something do everything it usually means it does everything, but not as well as the stuff that just did the one or two things).
Anyways the ads shown while watching were for Expedia, BIGO app (this is new to me), VRBO, and Yelp. Since you asked us to keep count of the number of ads. Like I said, it’s fairly common when I’m watching your videos to get 4 ads, similarly short and unskippable. Expedia and VRBO are common, the other two vary (Chik-fil-A, Travelocity, Yelp, DoorDash, McDonald’s, SHEIN, Temu, Shopify, and Etsy are the most common other ones; BIGO is new as this is the first time I’ve seen its ad).

I was also wondering whether they were very annoying… good to know they’re super short.. and also thank you for telling me what companies are advertising.. that probably makes a difference with what I earn. Not sure if you saw one of my videos regarding how much UA-cam is paying me 🙈
