Hi Pamela - The thing that amazes me about scraps is just how many cards you can make when you start with a pile of scraps. I didn't cut a full sheet of paper for over a year. And now whenever I do, I make all the paper up into cards and refuse to refile scraps. It helps if you have a large assortment of embellishments don't you think?!
Just found your site and truly enjoyed watching you make trees out of scraps (we always have scraps) for Christmas cards - something I need to start ASAP. Thank you for this fun idea.

Hi Julia, Your Christmas cards are simply stunning, and it is a surprise to see no traditional Christmas colours in sight! 🌲✨🌲 I have a couple of Christmas paper pads 6 x 6 with different colours pinks and blues, and earth tones which would look lovely to make these cards. Perhaps for me in Australia I can leave off the snow...! 😊 When I saw the gold stars ✨✨✨on your desk I felt very nostalgic as it took me back to primary school where we received gold stars that size for turning in our homework, and for our essays although back in the late 1960's early 70's we called them compositions. Hi Gloria - I love making Christmas cards and have to start early because the list for donation is longer than usual. And then of course there is my personal list... Fun foam is foam sheets frequently with adhesive backing that can be colored or glittered foam - it is about 1/8 inch thick. And usually it comes in A2/4 size sheets in multicolor packs. Something that helps keep the paper from cracking when embossed, is to spritz it lightly with water before running it through your machine. That allows the fibers to stretch without breaking. Just don't use too much water. Love these simple cards, too.
Hi Annette and Welcome to My Channel!! I am glad you found these cards fun and easy. I sure do. And I love the fact that you can use non Christmas scraps to make them. Have a wonder filled Holiday!!

What about the Christmas Tree that you made half circle. Then you made 2 folds. I missed where the fold were on the half circle. The Trees are beautiful. Where can I find the numbers to make folds. Mary Pennington
Hi Mary - That is different video. And I will mention that you do have to work with the folds a bit on those. Here is a link to that video if you want to watch - ua-cam.com/video/l95Naywg0hI/v-deo.html
I love this idea! I did find it hard to watch you glue along the fold line on the first card when it seems it could be easier to lay it flat, or am I missing something? Also only one tree sits high on the card, so there any benefit in doing this to the other two? When you do the sentiment, is there any benefit in using the tab as it seems once its glued it sits flat on the tree and cant sit any higher but not as easy to see in the video so please say if Im wrong about this as I dont intend to offend ❤
Those trees in the first card do all lift off the page a bit. The outside two appear to lay flat, but there is some lift to the tree itself on the outside edge, unless it gets completely flattened in the mail. The "gusset" keeps the sentiment from being bent when the tree is lifted a bit. It also somewhat locks the tree in the bend up when the gusset is glued down to the tree. Sorry it was hard to watch the fold gluing LOL. Sometimes it's a challenge to show what I'm doing.
Hi Sally - I can no longer find the 2 inch so I am now using 1 inch. Here is a link to what I use - smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VZFBTQP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And here is a short video explaining the way I use it - ua-cam.com/video/QIVOeJ_t75c/v-deo.html
@@1963smg I use Avery labels on the back of all my cards for donation. So I have a great source for release paper. By using that to put strips of 1 inch foam tape on, you have an easy cut to measure unit that makes it a quick clean cut. And it costs a whole lot less than dimensionals!!!
Hi Michele - Welcome to My Channel! I typically use Art Glitter Glue when I want things to catch and hold quicker. Otherwise, I use Books by Hand PVA glue for a little bit more slip time. Both are available on amazon. The Books by Hand is much more reasonably priced than Art Glitter Glue and I reach for it the most.
This is the set I ordered - but check your supplier under "jewel picker" - there are so many to choose from. smile.amazon.com/Vikerer-Rhinestone-Rhinestones-Swarovski-Decoration/dp/B08CZTBWLN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=30T2GZW9PD763&keywords=jewel+picker+tool&qid=1668539368&sprefix=jewel+picker+tool%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
Absolutely - Just fold them in half and burnish the fold with your fingernail. It works just fine, the fold is a bit more challenging sometime, but no worries!
Hi Myra - My favorite glue is Art Glitter Glue. It is a bit expensive, but holds exceptionally well and dries just quick enough. Be sure and use the fine tip attachment with the stainless pin. It limits the flow so it is much more controllable.
Hi Jenny - The glue is called Art Glitter Glue. I am in the USA and am not familiar with UK vendors. I wonder if you can search for the glue by name? The little white dots are actually punched out paper. Hope this helps!
For these cards I would use Art Glitter glue, because it tends to tighten up quicker. In general I really like Books By Hand PVA glue. It is very reasonably prices and goes a long way. @@SeniorSusieStamps Yes I will. He's a psychologist so he is going to get a part-time job here.
Really enjoyed watching this tutorial. Thank you so much for the tips!!!. I’m about to start on my Christmas Cards. Again, thank you. God bless😊
Hi Lourdes - I am so happy you enjoyed the tutorial. These are some easy cards to make. God's Blessings back to you!
Just stumbled across your channel and really enjoyed your creation! We always have scraps and this is a perfect project! Thank you for sharing, going to check out your channel and subscribe!
Hi Anita - Welcoms to My Channel - I'm so glad you'r finally here!! There is a lot of good content on the channel to back watch as you have time. And I try to put out a new video Sunday afternoons (USA time) - So, Come Back Soon!!
Something that helps keep the paper from cracking when embossed, is to spritz it lightly with water before running it through your machine. That allows the fibers to stretch without breaking. Just don't use too much water. Love these simple cards, too.
You are absolutely right about that! Thanks for sharing and Welcome!!
These are too cute Susie! And easy! Thanks for the inspiration and Happy Holidays!!
Hi Annette and Welcome to My Channel!! I am glad you found these cards fun and easy. I sure do. And I love the fact that you can use non Christmas scraps to make them. Have a wonder filled Holiday!!
Love th we cards. I just became a new subbie
Welcome Tinkerbell! There is plenty of content on the channel if you want to go back and catch up. And I try to put out a new video on Sunday afternoon (USA) so Come Back Soon!!

Danke Johanna! Es hat viel Spaß gemacht, diese zu machen. Und jede Karte, die ein paar Reste verbrauchen kann, ist für mich immer hilfreich!! Pass auf dich auf - Julia
Lovely
Thanks Christine!
Sooo pretty! Thank you!🌷
And Easy!! 🙃
love these cards
Thank you! They are Easy and Quick!!
Here is a link to that video if you want to watch - ua-cam.com/video/l95Naywg0hI/v-deo.html
very nice
Thanks Missie - Those cards were very well received!!
Where do you get your foam tape that you custom cut to size?
Hi Sally - I can no longer find the 2 inch so I am now using 1 inch. Here is a link to what I use - smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VZFBTQP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And here is a short video explaining the way I use it - ua-cam.com/video/QIVOeJ_t75c/v-deo.html
Thank you! What a great idea! I will have to try that. The sheets are also less cumbersome than the roll too.
@@1963smg I use Avery labels on the back of all my cards for donation. So I have a great source for release paper. By using that to put strips of 1 inch foam tape on, you have an easy cut to measure unit that makes it a quick clean cut. And it costs a whole lot less than dimensionals!!!
Hi. These are simply lovely. I do mot see a supply list and wanted to know what bramd glue you used? Thank you
Hi Michele - Welcome to My Channel!
Beautiful! What is the name of the small pen punch you use for the snowflakes?
This is the set I ordered - but check your supplier under "jewel picker" - there are so many to choose from. smile.amazon.com/Vikerer-Rhinestone-Rhinestones-Swarovski-Decoration/dp/B08CZTBWLN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=30T2GZW9PD763&keywords=jewel+picker+tool&qid=1668539368&sprefix=jewel+picker+tool%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
If you haven’t got a score board is there another way of doing the trees 🌲
Absolutely - Just fold them in half and burnish the fold with your fingernail. It works just fine, the fold is a bit more challenging sometime, but no worries!
Thank you for the quick reply I also forgot I have a curling tool that might work , not very good with crafting I’m afraid xx
So pretty. What glue are you using?
Hi Myra - My favorite glue is Art Glitter Glue. It is a bit expensive, but holds exceptionally well and dries just quick enough. Be sure and use the fine tip attachment with the stainless pin. It limits the flow so it is much more controllable.
May I ask what is that tube of white drops called please and where could I buy it in the UK
Hi Jenny - The glue is called Art Glitter Glue. I am in the USA and am not familiar with UK vendors. I wonder if you can search for the glue by name? The little white dots are actually punched out paper. Hope this helps!
@@SeniorSusieStamps yes it does, many thanks Susie. I love your cards
@@jennyreynolds30 Thank you so much!
What kind of glue do you use?
For these cards I would use Art Glitter glue, because it tends to tighten up quicker. In general I really like Books By Hand PVA glue. It is very reasonably prices and goes a long way. What is the pink glue gun called please, never seen one of those. 😮xxx
That is a Scotch ATG gun - I'm not sure they make the pink one anymore. I buy the generic refills in bulk from Tape Depot (USA). Here are a couple links - www.google.com/search?q=atg+tape+gun&rlz=1C1CHZN_enUS964US964&oq=ATG+tape+gun&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCggAEAAY4wIYgAQyCggAEAAY4wIYgAQyCggBEC4YgAQY5QQyBwgCEAAYgAQyCAgDEAAYFhgeMggIBBAAGBYYHjIICAUQABgWGB4yCAgGEAAYFhgeMggIBxAAGBYYHjIICAgQABgWGB4yCAgJEAAYFhge0gEJMTE0NDhqMGo3qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 and www.tapedepot.com/product/standard-atg-tape-56720/
Julia, these are so cute. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦 PS, I love your accent. Where in the US are you from?
I live in Tennessee. Those trees are a great use of scraps and they make really quick cards!
I also wondered where you are. I’m in Mobile AL. Love your cards.
Thank you!
Fun!
Thanks Lillian - The first one is a bit fidgity, but the rest work just fine after you figure out the glue amount to use!
